The Destination A/T2 is Firestone's Off-Road All-Terrain truck tire developed for drivers of pickup trucks, full-size SUVs, Jeeps and crossovers who want a tire they can depend on to get where they're going, on- or off-road, and even in inclement weather. Designed with traction and durability at the forefront, the Destination A/T2 also features light snow traction sufficient to earn the tire industry's severe snow service certification and three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
A specialized tread compound is molded into the symmetric pattern of the Destination A/T2. Engineered to blend off-road capability with a comfortable and quiet ride, the high-void pattern features a solid center rib that provides constant contact with the road. The full-depth grooves of Firestone's HydroGrip Technology package help enhance wet weather handling and, combined with the increased see-through void, improves hydroplaning resistance. The aggressive shoulder pattern helps to improve handling off-road, while Stone Rejecters between the tread blocks are designed to reduce damage from stone drilling. The heavily siped features of the Destination A/T2 plus notches in the independent tread blocks and center rib deliver traction in snowy or icy conditions and help the tire earn the 3PMSF symbol.
Internal construction of the Destination A/T2 features a robust, two-ply polyester casing to blend durability and ride quality. Two wide, high-strength steel belts are reinforced with a single, nylon cap ply.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...Dry and rain are nothing to these tires, even in standing water at fairly good speeds the tires pump the water out and stay planted...
After having a few sets of Destination AT tires over the last 20 years, with great results, I decided to try these AT 2 tires. These tires shine in every situation I’ve used them, just like the old ones. Dry and rain are nothing to these tires, even in standing water at fairly good speeds the tires pump the water out and stay planted. Snow and frozen slush doesn’t stop me with these. All I do is drop the speeds down to something reasonable and the truck will handle confidently. Light farm mud is no big deal either, it just goes. Very quiet since new and very little weight required to balance them. My truck has its alignment check once a year and tires rotated every 5k. I’m not sure of the actual tread depth but after 20k miles of mixed driving they show no apparent signs of wear and the ford dealer marks them as near new each service. These firestones aren’t the cheapest but they aren’t the most expensive either. I don’t give a crap about a wild looking tread or sidewall. These look good and perform perfectly for me. I’ve never had a bad Firestone tire, and I’ve had a lot of them. I’ll keep buying these tires for my family’s safety. The only thing holding you to the road and gripping when braking or turning is a few small contact patches, don’t cheap out.

...Have excellent hydroplaning resistance and great traction in snow...
Second set of these tires. They are excellent. Wear like iron. Handle and respond great and Have excellent hydroplaning resistance and great traction in snow.
As long as they keep making these in their U.S. factories to keep quality consistent, I will keep buying these tires to replace as needed. Tire rack ships quick and always has very fair prices. As long as you have a good installer nearby, everything goes smoothly.

...Excellent traction in snow and mud... Steep driveway with ice and snow is not a problem at all. These tires grip!...
This is by far the best tire I have ever purchased! Excellent traction in snow and mud. No road noise compared to others i have owned. I live in wv, and I drive everyday on a washed out rocky gravely road that gets muddy. No problems. Steep driveway with ice and snow is not a problem at all. These tires grip! These tires give me confidence that I'll make it out.

...The less aggressive tread pattern has I think lead to less road noise and more on-road traction...
New tires work well in the snow and rain! The less aggressive tread pattern has I think lead to less road noise and more on-road traction. I am not sure of how these tires perform when they have lower amounts of tread wear, but they gave me confidence with my first time commuting through heavy snow and rain. They seem to be wearing evenly as well with rotations every 5000 miles. Would consider purchasing again, but will likely go with another tire just for variety's sake.

Good dry handling for what it is and good in the rain as well...
Good all around light duty AT tire. It’s a jack off all trades and showing great treadware resistance as I’m going through 37,000 miles. Had Duratracs and Firestone MT2 in the past, which I loved. The AT2 is a great light duty alternative to those E load tires if you don’t need the extreme off road performance and durability those offer. You’ll get about 2mpg better in a Tacoma with these tires vs a E load rating tire. Good dry handling for what it is and good in the rain as well. Decent off road and even ok in a bit of mud.

...The new tires are very quiet, I guess I he old ones had gotten noisier but it was never really noticeable until the new ones went...
This is the second set of Destination AT2 that I’ve had on this truck. The prior set ran over 50000 miles and still had tres. I replaced them since snow traction was deteriorating as one expects as tread depth reduced. The new tires are very quiet, I guess I he old ones had gotten noisier but it was never really noticeable until the new ones went. I’ve also used these tires on a Ford Explorer in the past with similar good results.
These tires are a really good AT tire. They are decent off road, good in snow, and quiet. They stay mostly quiet through their life. I’ve had other AT tires that started quiet but after 20k or so started to sing. Not these. As mentioned I always get over 50k but I do a mix of long distance and off road, kind of two extreme: crawling over ranch roads or running down the interstate at 75mph.

Second set of these tires. They are very good in snow, heavy rain, wet roads and regular driving. Quiet on the highway and steering response is very good. They wear like iron. I usually replace my tires every three years since my truck is outside and exposed. After 30k miles my first set of these tires still had about 1/4 of the tread left. My driving is 50/50 highway and around town and some dirt and unpaved roads. Use my truck for some light towing and tires are solid around town and on highway. Tire Rack service is great. Have bought many tires from them and always happy.

...Now just gotta see how they wear with the new silicone tech.
Coming out of the Goodforoneyears that came stock on the truck and only 27000 miles later, I noticed an instant difference. Steering is immediate. No rollover /fold or hesitation. I live in Maine and can have multiple seasons in one day and these tires impressed me quickly. I found no weird sidewall overlap/bulge the old Destination was known for. Seems they stepped up their game. Balanced easy per installer and no extra vibes on the highway which ( 14-18 viberado guys know what I mean) I didn't have to roadforce them. I'm impressed. Now just gotta see how they wear with the new silicone tech.
