Firestone Winterforce LT 

Bought these tires and had them studded. This is my third winter with them in Quebec Canada. Snow tires are mandatory where I live and we get a lot of freezing rain and black ice. I have had multiple sets of snow tires on each of my vehicles, but these are great because of the studs. These tires handle very well in snow conditions but I feel that most winter tires will handle well in snow, especially under my Jeep Wrangler. I have never driven with these tires in more than 12 inches of snow, but they did well that day as I pulled a stuck police car out of a snow bank with my jeep. No problem. I am more concerned about ice, black ice, and freezing rain as these are often the most challenging road conditions. With the studs I can hardly notice black ice. The traction in freezing rain is fantastic to the point where if it were not for the other cars spinning off the road and unable to move, I would not know that it is freezing rain. The traction is so good it can be deceptive. I am amazed every time there is freezing rain, and I almost look forward to it now. The soft compound on the tires gives great dry road traction. My studs do not seem to detract from the dry road conditions. In terms of noise I can hear the studs on dry roads when driving slowly. These tires are more quiet then my knobby summer tires that came with my Jeep. But I cannot hear anything from the studs when driving at normal speeds even in my jeep with a soft top. Our other vehicle is a Dodge minivan with winter tires, we do not drive it in ice and snow. Once the tires are worn out I am also changing to same model and studded. I change tires early as I want the best traction, but my tires have not worn very much at all after 3 winters. This tire does very well rain & snow. but seems somewhat wobbly in the warmer weather conditions. In heavy rain they will stop on a dime. They actually saved me from an accident during a downpour. I'm not sure how they will last I only have about 5000 mi on them. I live near Reno NV it is wet & snow conditions now so I'm not sure how they will do when the weather warms up.

These tires are great. Excellent snow and ice traction, I don't even notice that I don't have 4-wheel drive. Makes stopping and cornering feel safe. The ride and noise is better then the Goodyear ArmorTrac's that they replaced. Wear seems to be appropriate. The price is excellent, can't get a better buy.

Fantastic Tires! These balanced out easily and provide good winter traction with minimal negative characteristics. Was able to clime numerous winding and hilly roads in the river bluffs during a blizzard in 2wd. 4x4 has yet to be engaged on regular roadways with these on the Jeep.

I run these on my 2011 FJ Cruiser MT AWD on stock 17" rims during the winters. Best traction I have experienced in winter/snow truck tires. Comparable to Blizzaks on my BMW.

I couldn't be happier, the performance is much than expected. They are amazing in snow and ice conditions, no problems on dry roads either.

Having roughly 10,000 miles on my Winterforce tires, they have proven time and time again to be amazing tires. They are a little soft and a little loud which is to be expected with a winter tire. They still brake great, corner great and are great in the wet after the snow melts. -for what its worth, I smoked a ton of other jeeps in a snow filled cornfield driving event on these tires, in 2wd. I really look forward to driving in snow with these tires. I plan to get 3, maybe 4 seasons out of these tires. I have a dedicated set of cheap wheels which these tires stay on year 'round. Highly recommended to anyone.

Even though they are LT tires the ride is good and the snow and ice traction is excellent.

I cannot ask for anything more from an LT rated winter tire. Long lasting, comfy, quiet, good traction in poor weather.
It's easy to endlessly shop winter tire options but you can stop now, L T winter force are so nice that I'll be looking at Firestone LT non winter tires for the first time ever. I always purchase a french brand but will now be looking at another Firestone model for summer use.
There is some good engineering going on here.

Great tread ware, good wet and winter light snow traction, better with a little deeper snow.
Winter and wet road performance varies with air pressure, better with a little less.

I was looking to buy the General Grabber winter tires like I had on previous F-150 but they were out at the time, so I decided to give these a try. I have yet to have to put the truck in 4X4 this winter, these tires just claw their way through whatever is on the road. Snow, Slush, Ice doesn't seem to matter. I have actually flicked the truck around or stepped on it a few times on purpose just to test them and it just goes where I point it. I will say that there is a section of highway in town that is grooved and the tires do like to follow the wavy grooves when it's dry, that is the only real demerit I can say about them. They are an E rated tire, which is more than necessary for an F-150. I have them set at 50psi. After 4000 miles I have only lost 1/32nd of tire tread, as they start at 18/32 they should last a few good winters.
