The Wintrac Pro is Vredestein's Performance Winter / Snow tire developed for drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes, performance sedans and high-powered crossovers and SUVs. Designed to provide confident control and maximum grip in cold, dry and wet conditions plus sure-footed traction in snow and on ice, the Wintrac Pro combines advanced technology with an attractive, Giugiaro-styled design.
The directional tread pattern of the Wintrac Pro is molded from a resin- and silica-enhanced compound that improves traction for increased handling and braking performance on wet, snow-covered and icy roads. Broad shoulders help maximize lateral grip and high-speed cornering in cold, dry and wet conditions. The footprint shape is engineered to provide direct response to steering inputs while also efficiently evacuating water from the contact patch to resist hydroplaning. High-angle sipes in the shoulders optimize handling in snowy or icy conditions, while horizontal sipes in the center of the tread enhance longitudinal traction for maximum braking and acceleration.
Wintrac Pro winter / snow tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Feedback consistently shows the Vredestein Wintrac Pro excels in winter conditions, with outstanding snow traction (8-10 scores) and reliable ice performance (7-10), delivering confident handling in harsh weather. ...I think the weight of the vehicles (something close to 5,000 pounds) probably helps these tires maintain great traction in wet and snow, so I can't be sure that these tires would be as good in rain and snow on a light-weight vehicle...
Great tire. I have two nearly identical Audi SQ8 vehicles, and I bought one set of these tires in the 22-inch size. After seeing that the tires worked well in the winter, I bought another set roughly a month later for our other Audi SQ8. Both sets of the tires have been terrific. We ended up driving on these tires all year long, although we only put 5,000 miles on one of the vehicles, and 10,000 miles on the other. The tires show very little wear, despite having driven on them all Summer. The big surprise is that its almost not noticeable that we're driving on winter tires. There's no tread squirm nor any feeling that we're on soft tires, even in the Summer. They just feel like high quality all season tires. If you want to drive crazy (I haven't done that in some years), I think there might be better Summer-only tires available for these vehicles, but for us, living in Pennsylvania where we get snow for a few months of the year, and quite a bit of rain throughout the year, in addition to warm Summers, these tires are fantastic. I can't imagine anything better for all-year usage. I think the weight of the vehicles (something close to 5,000 pounds) probably helps these tires maintain great traction in wet and snow, so I can't be sure that these tires would be as good in rain and snow on a light-weight vehicle. But on our two Audi SQ8 vehicles, these tires are really good. In terms of driving on snow, we've had no problems. We've only had the ABS system kick-in a couple times; once approaching a stop at the bottom of a snow/ice covered hill (but the tires got traction within 5 or 10 feet, so the ABS activation was for only a second or two, and there was no instability); and the other was on a flat surface at a stop sign where we were on glare ice; in that situation the ABS system activated but the vehicle got traction within 10 or 15 feet, and there was no instability. I'd say it was as good as any other winter tires I've had. Great tires.

Customers overwhelmingly rate the Vredestein Wintrac Pro's winter traction as excellent, with most scoring 9s and 10s for snow and deep snow grip. Ice traction also impresses, though a few ratings dip to 7-8, still reflecting strong cold-weather confidence.

GREAT winter tires. Handles amazingly well - though not as good as a summer tire, better than most winter tires I've had experience with.

...Left them on last summer- smooth ride...
The i drive on the x2 is great- but the tires that came on the vehicle were NOT for WNY weather. The switch out to these winter tires has been perfect. Our little town doesn't plow side streets and whether it's an inch or 20 inches the car doesn't flinch with these tires. Left them on last summer- smooth ride. Highly recommend and will purchase them again when needed.

This tire mounted on 19" wheels rides much smoother than the original 20" Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 run flats that came on the car. When the weather gets below 40F, the stock tires are rough riding and spin easily. This is a good performance winter tire that rides smooth, quiet and still responsive...
This tire mounted on 19" wheels rides much smoother than the original 20" Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 run flats that came on the car. When the weather gets below 40F, the stock tires are rough riding and spin easily. This is the 3rd winter I've used the Wintrac and at 7000 miles they look like they'll last about 20 k while providing decent snow traction. This is a good performance winter tire that rides smooth, quiet and still responsive. No problem riding in light snow with the Camaro.
