Grand Touring All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of a sophisticated appearance, competent handling and H-speed rated (or higher) durability, along with all-season traction, including in light snow. Grand Touring All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sophisticated coupes and luxurious performance sedans.

O.E. Grand Touring All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Limited sizes of the ProContact TX are available with Continental's ContiSilent Technology, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

I really loved the stock tires that came on my car bc of the dry and wet traction. This is the first time I've purchased other tires, the Continental ProContact TX. At first I hated them, but after the were worn in, about 500 miles later, I love them! They are quieter than when they were brand new, smoother, traction is acceptable at high speeds (80+). And, so far, they feel a bit better than the Pirellis in the snow! Which is a huge plus. Adding the $110 rebate I received, these were a great purchase! I would buy these again for this car, for sure!

I only got a little past 40,000 miles before noticing decreased wet traction at high speeds (> 65 mph) and needing to change the tires...

I am very satisfied with the Continental ProContact TX tires on my 2020 Nissan Altima S. These tires perform very well in both dry and wet conditions, providing reliable traction and a smooth ride. While they perform decently in snow, I recommend being cautious when the tread reaches half its life.

On old pavement, the tires produce minimal noise, and they become very quiet on recently paved roads, enhancing the driving experience. These tires are the OEM choice for my car, and I am currently on my second set. Additionally, I have had Continental tires on three of my cars and have never encountered any issues. I plan to stick with this brand for a while.

The only thing I can complain about is the treadwear mileage. Although they are rated up to 65,000 miles, I only got a little past 40,000 miles before noticing decreased wet traction at high speeds (> 65 mph) and needing to change the tires.

Overall, the Continental ProContact TX tires are a great choice, and I highly recommend them.

...They have not been slippery or hydroplaned in Florida during our long rainy season. They do not slip when accelerating or braing in the wet and brake in Florida rain storme (extreme water on road events)...

I have used these tires only because they are original equipment on my 2024 Volvo S60 AWD. I have driven on them for 15K miles in Florida.

I am used to Michelin tires and these seem pretty close to the feel and ride of Michelin Primacy MXV tires which are more expensive. These tires do have slighty better tread wear than the softer Michelin Primacy I have tried in the past. The Continental's absorb road impacts about the same with similar noise characteristics (quiet).

They have not been slippery or hydroplaned in Florida during our long rainy season. They do not slip when accelerating or braing in the wet and brake in Florida rain storme (extreme water on road events). They are stable and have zero vibration at higher speeds on the interstate.

My intitial expectations was set at low for these tires but after several long road trips they proved to be quiet, tracked staight , absorbed bumps and feel stable. Unlike some other brands Pirelli Scorpoicomes to mind, in other words they are good tires.

As for the treadwear issues, all tires wear out and they are consumables. As a cautionary tale do not choose tires that last forever and are "high mileage". These Continentals will wear out faster than a Michelin Defender 2 high mileage tire. The Defnders are good tires, but when its wet they slip more, they hit expansion joints harder and lose traction with accleration and lateral movement sooner. I would rather buy tires more often that don't have hard tire negative traits.

P.S. I have not had any side wall bubbles, stone punctures or internal belt failures with this set that have a total of 21k on them.

...They have good traction in the wet (when relatively new) and snow, and are solid in the dry, but give up traction pretty quickly if you push them in the corners...

The Continental ProContact TX.was the factory fitting from VW and I would describe these tires as, MEH. There's nothing particularly bad about them, but they feel engineered to a price point. They have good traction in the wet (when relatively new) and snow, and are solid in the dry, but give up traction pretty quickly if you push them in the corners. Once the tires hit about 50,000 miles, traction in the wet went away.

If you view a car as a transportation appliance, this is a decent tire, but there are better options. I replaced them with Continental Extreme Contact DWW/06 Plus and the difference is night and day. The car is more planted, steering response is better and when pushed in the corners the tires don't feel like they're on the edge of sending you into a ditch. I don't expect the DWS/06 to wear as well, but I'll give up a little tread life for the improved driving experience.

...These tires were AWESOME!!! I had no issues at all!!... However, there was not one instance where I felt like the tires would slip and slide! It was just a smooth, easy ride all the way to work!...

I just bought a new car 2 days before Riley hit NY. These tires came on the car and I was skeptical of their performance after reading the reviews. I work 2 jobs, 1 is a part-time Real Estate agent and was hoping these tires were safe for winter months in Upstate NY. It was snowing 2" per hour and started at 1am that morning. I drove my regular 30 mile trek to my main workplace on hills of Upstate NY. My first 5 miles to work consists of some fairly hilly poorly maintained dirt town roads and county paved roads. Next 17 miles is up and down over the steeper terrains on state roads/hills, which were worse than the town and county roads that day. Last 8 is a poorly kept county road. These tires were AWESOME!!! I had no issues at all!! I usually don't have many issues as I've been driving in NYS for 30 years. Normally, I have winter tires. However, there was not one instance where I felt like the tires would slip and slide! It was just a smooth, easy ride all the way to work! Normally, I'd be driving about 30mph in a snow storm such as this. I felt safe enough to drive 40mph that day! Probably a little crazy...

Every 2 days after Riley, we had another storm of 12"+. No issues with these at all!! We had some melting recently where water went over the roads. There was no hydroplaning. Stopping on wet roads or snowy roads were like stopping on dry pavement. No issues with that either.

Overall, these all-season tires really did a great jobl!! The ride was comfortable, tires were not noisy by any means, driving on wet, dry, snow and ice was a breeze!! I recommend these tires! I will update this review when I've driven more miles to see how they hold up. So far, so good!!

...They grip the corners very well at high speed and demonstrated the car's superior AWD handling...

Tires came with the new car November 2021. I am quite happy with the tire performance and handling, but not the tire wear. They grip the corners very well at high speed and demonstrated the car's superior AWD handling. I used them as summmer tires only and have 5-6/32 remaining on the tire centers. And 3-4/32 remaining on the edges after 30,000 miles (45,000km). In places the tire edges are bald and I don't trust them for another Summer. I note they have a 65,000 mile limited warranty.

...They're grippy and quiet...

Tires are on a "cheap" and lightweight Nissan Versa, but I gotta say the whole package handles/feels like something far more expensive.

At 12,700 miles these tires appear new. I'm admittedly a freak for rotating them, having done so twice at 4500 & 9000 miles, and in another 800 each tire will have occupied all four corners of the Versa.

I'm on track to get 60K-70K out of this set. They're grippy and quiet. If there is a better tire for $112/copy, I have not found it.
