The Hypertrac All Season is Vredestein's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for drivers of sports cars, coupes, and powerful sedans who want high-speed capability and predictable handling in dry and wet conditions, combined with year-round performance, even in light snow.
The asymmetric tread design of the Hypertrac All Season utilizes a year-round compound, with wider outboard tread elements for quicker steering response and agile dry handling. The high void pattern and optimized groove design evacuates water from the contact patch, where a specially-tuned polymer blend compound helps maintain sure-footed wet performance. Zigzag sipes and other biting edges incorporated into the tread design further improve wet and snow traction.
Beginning in the 27th week of 2021, Vredestein updated the compound of the Hypertrac All Season in an effort to improve traction in the wet and snow. Though the benefits of the revised compound are best realized by installing a complete set of four tires on a vehicle, Vredestein has indicated tires with the new compound are mixable in any quantity with tires featuring the original compound.
Any Hypertrac All Season tire with a DOT TIN manufacture date of 2721 or later features the updated compound. For easy identification, the Original and Revised compound tires are identified with a clarifier on the Specs page and in the search results.
Internal construction of the Hypertrac All Season consists of a two-ply, polyester casing to provide a smooth, comfortable ride. Twin steel belts with a single polyamide reinforcement ply bolster high speed stability and promote responsive handling.

Despite the small power plant this car has it was fairly easy to lose traction on acceleration from a stop prior to getting these tires. I have been greatly pleased with how well it grips in both wet and dry.

Really good quality tires that perform well in dry, wet, and snow conditions...
Really good quality tires that perform well in dry, wet, and snow conditions. Ice traction is a bit weak, but I have found this with every tire that wasn't studded. Road noise is modest and ride quality is excellent. Note, I've been a 1st Responder in the Tahoe basin with a lot of bad weather driving experience (going fast too). I'm very pleased with these tires and feel they are a great, cost-effective choice.

Many customers rate the Vredestein Hypertrac's winter traction highly, with snow and deep snow scores often reaching 9s and 10s. Ice traction receives very good 7-8 ratings, though a few note room for improvement in extreme conditions.

These are the tires the Ontegra should have come with. They are many times quieter then the stock continentals that came on my car. Even my wife noticed a tremendous decrease in road howl. Now they’re hard, so you’ll feel the road, but they’re grippy.

I have no complaints. I’m actually making these Vredesteins one of my favorites, along with the Michelin CrossClimate 2

They are quiet, and their dry performance is good...
They are quiet, and their dry performance is good. However, their winter performance is worse than I've ever experienced with "all season performance" tires. So little accelerating and braking traction. I will admit that it could be the car and its stock tire size, as these are the widest tires I've ever had. Also, these are the only tires I've had on the car in the snow.

This is my second set of Vredestein Hypertraks. I replaced the Pirellis and Continentals which Mercedes-Benz were selling me due to ratings for longevity, and dry and wet weather traction as well as price. Where I used to need to replace the rears every two years and the fronts every three - I was able to run the Vredesteins for 3.5 years, with a decrease in wet weather traction only in the final months. Highly recommended.
