The Pinza AT is Vredestein's On-Road All-Terrain tire designed for the drivers of pickup trucks, crossovers and full-size SUVs looking for a tire with off-road capabilities that retains its on-road comfort and stability. By blending traditional all-terrain design elements with highway-centric features, the Pinza AT aims to provide traction in a variety of difficult road conditions, including light snow traction that meets the tire industry's severe snow service rating requirements and earns the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
Utilizing a computer-aided design, the Pinza AT's four groove tread pattern is built to provide a rugged, off-road look that retains respectable road manners. The multi-pitched pattern employs aggressive biting edges in the shoulder elements along with a higher void ratio for good loose-surface grip. Full depth siping and large zig zag circumferential grooves help increase wet weather traction and hydroplaning resistance for enhanced confidence in wet and wintry weather.
The internal construction of the Pinza AT features either a robust 2-ply casing in Euro Metric sizes or a 3-ply Triplex Casing design in LT Metric sizes featuring Vredestein's Jointless Hexabead Technology for severe duty endurance. The twin steel belts utilize edge protectors and are capped with a nylon ply for enhanced high-speed composure.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...The traction on wet pavement, in pouring rain is also very good...
Very pleased with the ride quality, low noise, directional stability, cornering, and breaking. Have not yet driven in deep snow, but in light snow (1-3 inches), traction is very good. The traction on wet pavement, in pouring rain is also very good. I am also very pleased with the speed of delivery and ease of making appointment to have tires installed at the Tire Rack recommended dealer. I think these excellent tires and are an excellent value.

...I'd say if you need a tire for frequent wet roads these are for you...
I moved from Toyo Open Country AT2 into these Vredestein AT. I thought it was going to be a downgrade. Not so fast. Although these Vredestein AT tires do not have that ultra-aggressive side wall look, their performance is top-shelf. Oh so quiet like a touring tire and it's as if I also installed new shocks at the same time as these tires absorb every road crack and seam. I'd say if you need a tire for frequent wet roads these are for you and the snow traction is also a step up from the non-3PMS Toyo tires. The very best value in an All-terrain tire ever.

...Some of the best rain wet weather tires I've ever had on a pick up truck. You really have to gas it to spin the rear.
Well, I was a good year guy for a long time. But the prices were scaring me away. I read the reviews on these and after owning them for a year. I could say the reviews are pretty much right on. Some of the best rain wet weather tires I’ve ever had on a pick up truck. You really have to gas it to the spin the rear. And really decent snow handling also but I bought Them for the rain and sloppy weather. And they did not disappoint.

...Then sub-zero temps hit and the roads got coated with snow and ice... If I hit the brakes, do I slide or stop? They did not break loose at low speeds. Second: do I loose traction under acceleration? No! Even if I goosed it, I kept traction...
This is an early review of the VREDESTEIN PINZA AT tires. I was attracted by the promise of good highway manners and enough tread to get out of steep roads at my campsite. What I didn't consider was ice and snow which is what we just had here in Portland, OR. These tires don't even have 20 miles on them. I had them installed at Discount Tire and drove home. Then sub-zero temps hit and the roads got coated with snow and ice. My big test is: If I hit the brakes, do I slide or stop? They did not break loose at low speeds. Second: do I loose traction under acceleration? No! Even if I goosed it, I kept traction. Now this was my Borrego in 4WD but they were as sticky in going as they were in braking. I love the big tread and great price. Thanks, Vredestein! Made in India.

...Snow and ice was a breeze this past winter in the mountains of West Virginia. No problem driving and stopping on unplowed mountain roads. Don't even have to put it in 4x4 most of the time...
These tires have been great on my 4Runner. They ride comfortably and road noise is minimal. I drive long distances on the highway frequently and have no complaints. Traction is much better than OEM tires in the rain and hydroplaning hasn’t been an issue at all even in heavy downpours. Snow and ice was a breeze this past winter in the mountains of West Virginia. No problem driving and stopping on unplowed mountain roads. Don’t even have to put it in 4x4 most of the time. No serious off roading yet but have been good on dirt and gravel roads. Huge improvement over the OEM tires both looks and performance wise. Will definitely buy another set.

...The dry traction, stability, quietness, and smoothness are exceptional - especially for an all terrain tire... These tires instilled confidence...
I installed these tires in summer and haven't experienced wet or snowy conditions yet. The dry traction, stability, quietness, and smoothness are exceptional - especially for an all terrain tire. I recently took a 1400 mile road trip with posted speed limits from 65 to 80 - with actual speeds a wee bit higher. And, passing speeds approached triple digits several times. These tires instilled confidence. I'm very happy with my purchase and greatly appreciate Tire Rack's objective/subjective video evaluations, without which I'd have never noticed these.

...I'm also pleased with the tire's grip on city and highway surfaces...
Having a somewhat-unusual truck (4 cyl., FWD), many manufacturers don't make a tire in my size. Vredestein did, and I was VERY pleased with the lack of road noise while still maintaining some aggressive tread for the few situations in which I might be needing traction off-road. I'm also pleased with the tire's grip on city and highway surfaces. Thumbs up!

...Performed extremely well in all conditions driven ( dry, rain, snow)...
I bought the tires based on others’ reviews and the tires performed as the very positive reviews indicated. Tires are quieter than OEM Michelin LTX, yet the Vredesteins have a more aggressive tread. Performed extremely well in all conditions driven (dry, rain, snow). Little off-road miles so I can’t comment about sand, mud, stone. Would definitely purchase again.

Comfort was the primary purpose for purchasing these tires, since my old Land Rover with twin solid beam axles and 2 inch lift kit with my oversized regular off-road tires (General AT) produced a jarring ride, even on our city streets, that I had always accepted as inevitable... Comfort was the primary purpose for purchasing these tires, since my old Land Rover with twin solid beam axles and 2 inch lift kit with my oversized regular off-road tires (General AT) produced a jarring ride, even on our city streets, that I had always accepted as inevitable. The comparison test by Tire Rack of these new and largely untested Vredestein tires against highly rated competitors emphasized their quiet and well controlled ride qualities as well as excelling on wet roads. I took a chance, switched over and noticed the difference as soon as I left the tire shop. They are quiet, very soft riding but grip to provide prompt steering responses and controlled stops. This is an early review during a hot, dry spring and summer, so I can't comment on wet roads. They are beefy enough to handle casual off-roading. I'm not a rock climber or purposely seek out mud. For those who do, other specialty tires would be more appropriate, but at the price of ride quality. For light or moderate snow I think they would do well. For heavy winter conditions in Wyoming, especially when ice is involved, I rely on studded snow tires. In essence, these tires are handsome, appear aggressive (I'd never shod my Land Rover in plain highway tires) but provide a whole new level of comfort that I never thought possible. There are a lot of unknowns, including anticipated mileage, but if these need replacement before my high-mileage bites the dust, I'll make the same choice. These are outstanding tires!

...The tires are nearly silent on the highway. Extremely impressive for a mildly aggressive tire... Ride quality is very good on these tires as well...
I've now put 1,500 miles on the Pinzas. I had high hopes given all the praise these get on TR and CR. Lives up to the expectations and then some. I have gone through a really rough rain storm in these that would have had my Dynapro AT2s feeling very nervous, and absolutely no problem with the Pinzas. Winter traction has also been great, maybe a tick below what the Dynapros offered, but I haven't driven the 2 in similar conditions yet. The Dynapros did great during an ice storm, the Pinzas did very well during a snow storm. I will update this review down the road once I see icy conditions.
The tires are nearly silent on the highway. Extremely impressive for a mildly aggressive tire. Look a lot cooler in person than on the internet. Ride quality is very good on these tires as well. Only 1500 miles in, but they feel like winners so far.

...Treadwear is very good after 13K miles of mixed highway and BLM roads.
In one year of driving I have only been slightly stuck twice (in deep soft sand and in wet mud). Dropping pressure to 20psi or lower vastly help with driving in sand. This tire is quiet on the highway for a AT tire, and feels sure footed in heavy downpour. Treadwear is very good after about 13K miles of mixed highway and BLM roads.
