Customers praise the Vredestein Pinza AT's wet traction, with most scoring 9s and 10s for confident grip and hydroplaning resistance. Some rate 7-8, still positive for all-terrain use.

...Performed extremely well in all conditions ( dry, rain, snow)...
I bought the tires based on others’ reviews and the tires performed as the very positive reviews indicated. Tires are quieter than OEM Michelin LTX, yet the Vredesteins have a more aggressive tread. Performed extremely well in all conditions driven (dry, rain, snow). Little off-road miles so I can’t comment about sand, mud, stone. Would definitely purchase again.

More aggressive side of the on road AT. A little more road noise then expected, but still in the acceptable range for a capable AT tire. Just completed a 700 mile drive up the north east. Storm advisory, heavy rain and flash flood advisory, high wind advisory. No problems at all. Hours of driving through lousy conditions, hitting patches of standing water on the freeway, never lost control or confidence in the tires ability to handle the adverse conditions.
Heading up to northern VT next week. I’ll update on the tires snow and mud abilities.

...The Pinza AT has excellent road manners and does well in the rain and does well in light snow (up to 10 inches)...
Many times when you go to an AT tire, mileage goes down, road noise goes up, and general on-road characteristics trend downward. The Pinza AT has excellent road manners and does well in the rain and light snow (up to 10 inches). It handles ice with a B to B+, but loses some points to something like a dedicated snow tire. Some light overlanding revealed very good grip, surprisingly. Wear was much better than with the OEM tires I have now (Handkook Dynapro AT2s) on my new(er) truck. I can only see maybe 2 years of use with these tires where they'd still be safe in the snow and ice, and I've only put 7000 miles on them. I think the Pinza AT would have lasted at least 45-50000 miles before I replaced them. I bought the Pinza AT at another local shop.
Another tire to compare against the Pinza AT is the Open Range AT. It is also very long lasting, not noisy, does very well in the snow and rock, but loses a little in the handling department.

This is an early review of the VREDESTEIN PINZA AT tires. I was attracted by the promise of good highway manners and enough tread to get out of steep roads at my campsite. What I didn't consider was ice and snow which is what we just had here in Portland, OR. These tires don't even have 20 miles on them. I had them installed at Discount Tire and drove home. Then sub-zero temps hit and the roads got coated with snow and ice. My big test is: If I hit the brakes, do I slide or stop? They did not break loose at low speeds. Second: do I loose traction under acceleration? No! Even if I goosed it, I kept traction. Now this was my Borrego in 4WD but they were as sticky in going as they were in braking. I love the big tread and great price. Thanks, Vredestein! Made in India.

Great tire so far. I've driven them in varying road conditions and have yet to have any problems. Great ride quality and low road noise. I'm most impressed with the winter traction. I've had them in various snow and ice conditions and never had an issue. Always feel confident heading out in nasty weather. IMO they're hard to beat in bang-for-the-buck. I've had other tires that were up market from these that didn't perform any better so these are definitely a great value. Couldn't recommend them more!

...The traction on light snow and ice has been excellent. I don't need to use 4WD in light snow conditions...
When the tires were first installed, they seemed a bit hard. After about 100 miles they seemed to soften up and now are excellent. Smooth ride with no noticeable sound issues. The traction on light snow and ice has been excellent. I don't need to use 4WD in light snow conditions. I am well pleased with the tires so far.

...Also, I tow a 9000 lb AirStream trailer and there is no sway with these as well as excellent wet and dry traction while towing...
Best All Terrain tires I have ever owned. Perform as good or better than BFG but NO NOISE at all. These tires grip on dirt and gravel campground roads, in pouring rain and sleet storms. No snow last year but I am anticipating remarkable traction. NJ can get major snow some years. Also, I tow a 9000 lb AirStream trailer and there is no sway with these as well as excellent wet and dry traction while towing. But the remarkable thing is that they are totally silent on the highway, quieter than All Season tires. How did Vredestine engineer this? I like them so much I bought a second set for my 93 VW Eurovan, replacing a set of BFG AT tires with only 5000 miles on them.

...The wet traction is amazing and the dry handling is tight on the corners. I've yet to break these tires loose and I am not shy to accelerate through traffic. Breaking is on a dime...
I replaced the stock Goodyear Wranglers with these and it’s is a night and day difference. I have been so happy with these tires and they are so quiet on the road. I can actual have a conversation in the truck while I drive. The wet traction is amazing and the dry handling is tight on the corners. I’ve yet to break these tires loose and I am not shy to accelerate through traffic. Breaking is on a dime. They have a more rugged appearance compared to an all highway tire which was important to me because I own a Trail Boss and I didn’t want take away from the rugged look of the truck. But I definitely wanted a more quiet tire on the road because the wranglers were just obnoxious. Anyhow, I still can’t say the name but I recommend these tires to anyone driving a 1/2 ton truck. You won’t be disappointed.

...Not loud on the highway, comfortable, wet and dry traction is good...
Bought these slightly over size tires for my '05 Touareg. I drive around town but do a lot of skiing and camping so need good performance in snow and light off-road. I like Vredestiens and have run Quatracs on my other Touareg for years. These Pinzas are great so far. Not loud on the highway, comfortable, wet and dry traction is good. So far the snow performance has been great, and light offroad though mud an puddles has been good as well. Highly confident in the performance of these tires. I can't wait to get them out on the beach (and check sand traction) as well as some slightly more aggressive off-road.

Comfort was the primary purpose for purchasing these tires, since my old Land Rover with twin solid beam axles and 2 inch lift kit with my oversized regular off-road tires (General AT) produced a jarring ride, even on our city streets, that I had always accepted as inevitable. The comparison test by Tire Rack of these new and largely untested Vredestein tires against highly rated competitors emphasized their quiet and well controlled ride qualities as well as excelling on wet roads. I took a chance, switched over and noticed the difference as soon as I left the tire shop. They are quiet, very soft riding but grip to provide prompt steering responses and controlled stops. This is an early review during a hot, dry spring and summer, so I can't comment on wet roads. They are beefy enough to handle casual off-roading. I'm not a rock climber or purposely seek out mud. For those who do, other specialty tires would be more appropriate, but at the price of ride quality. For light or moderate snow I think they would do well. For heavy winter conditions in Wyoming, especially when ice is involved, I rely on studded snow tires. In essence, these tires are handsome, appear aggressive (I'd never shod my Land Rover in plain highway tires) but provide a whole new level of comfort that I never thought possible. There are a lot of unknowns, including anticipated mileage, but if these need replacement before my high-mileage bites the dust, I'll make the same choice. These are outstanding tires!

...so quiet like a touring tire and it's as if I also installed new shocks at the same time as these tires absorb every road crack and seam...
I moved from Toyo Open Country AT2 into these Vredestein AT. I thought it was going to be a downgrade. Not so fast. Although these Vredestein AT tires do not have that ultra-aggressive side wall look, their performance is top-shelf. Oh so quiet like a touring tire and it's as if I also installed new shocks at the same time as these tires absorb every road crack and seam. I'd say if you need a tire for frequent wet roads these are for you and the snow traction is also a step up from the non-3PMS Toyo tires. The very best value in an All-terrain tire ever.

...The dry traction, stability, quietness, and smoothness are exceptional - especially for an all terrain tire...
I installed these tires in summer and haven't experienced wet or snowy conditions yet. The dry traction, stability, quietness, and smoothness are exceptional - especially for an all terrain tire. I recently took a 1400 mile road trip with posted speed limits from 65 to 80 - with actual speeds a wee bit higher. And, passing speeds approached triple digits several times. These tires instilled confidence. I'm very happy with my purchase and greatly appreciate Tire Rack's objective/subjective video evaluations, without which I'd have never noticed these.

...Treadwear is very good after 13K miles of mixed highway and BLM roads.
In one year of driving I have only been slightly stuck twice (in deep soft sand and in wet mud). Dropping pressure to 20psi or lower vastly help with driving in sand.
This tire is quiet on the highway for a AT tire, and feels sure footed in heavy downpour. Treadwear is very good after about 13K miles of mixed highway and BLM roads.
