The Quatrac 5 is Vredestein's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans, station wagons and crossover vehicles looking for confident performance in the dry and wet, plus premium light snow traction. The Quatrac 5 meets the industry's severe snow service requirements for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol and, as an all-weather tire, is designed to be a one-tire solution for drivers in environments that experience all four seasons, but don't receive sufficient snowfall to require a dedicated winter tire.

Vredestein Quatrac 5The Quatrac 5 features a high-silica tread compound molded into a multiple condition-focused, asymmetric pattern. The outboard shoulder and circumferential groove are designed for traction, handling and steering precision in dry and wet conditions, with low void ratio and large, stiff tread blocks. The inboard rib and inside shoulder are tuned for confident performance in wet and wintry conditions, with wide, circumferential grooves and lateral notches to evacuate water and slush from the contact patch, along with high-density, winter-focused zigzag sipes that help deliver the traction needed to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Internal construction of the Quatrac 5 consists of a single-ply polyester casing supporting two steel belts. A polyamide reinforcement aids in handling performance and provides high-speed durability.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...Great wet weather performance...

Tires are superb. Great handling and response. Great wet weather performance. We don’t get much snow, but no problems over some ice. Quiet and very smooth. Much better than stock Dunlops and cheaper too.

...I am most impressed by how well they perform on wet roads. It feels like you are on dry pavement...

These tires, coupled with the all wheel drive of my car, have made it so that I have to work to get stuck in snow, They grip well and plow through the snow like it isn't even there. I am most impressed by how well they perform on wet roads. It feels like you are on dry pavement. My only complaint is the slight road noise they produce but it isn't a major issue.

I live in Michigan and these are an excellent All-Season tire choice if you drive in snow. I got tired of switching to dedicated winter tires so I've been using All-Seasons with the three peak winter designation. These are the best I've found. They perform much better than most all seasons in the winter and still perform well on dry roads. Wear has been acceptable and is of lower importance to me. These have worn much better than the crappy run-flats that came stock on my X7. On the X7, I expect to replace these about every 30k miles. I don't try and get the last mile out of my tires and I'm sure they would last longer on a lighter vehicle.

LOVE THESE TIRES! Performs extremely well in snow, ice & rain especially for being an all season tire. Only complaint would be treadwear, but any tire in this size/category isn’t going to be the best.

I've only had them a short time, but I can tell already they are better than the Continental tires I had previously purchased. Not that Continentals were slouches - these just seem better for my driving style, and where I live. I feel more comfortable taking curves at a higher pace. When accelerating from a light, and crossing those painted lines, even when wet, these grip like hot bubble-gum. They are very smooth on the highway, and driving on side roads. The first week they sounded "sticky", but after a few hundred miles - they were as quiet as can be. So far, not a single complaint..

...Immediately noticed an immediate improvement on corning and breaking... Liked it enough to buy another set for the rear.

Bought a set to replace worn out Goodyear Assurance to put on the front. Immediately noticed an immediate improvement on corning and breaking. Did notice a slight increase in road noise. But being this car is the family hauler and we abuse the living daylight out of it in everyway, the slightly rougher road noise is worth the improved road handling and breaking. Liked it enough to buy another set for the rear.

...They are quite, smooth and very comfortable...

I live in Reeds Spring, Missouri, where we have a lot of curvie country road and a lot of rain. The Vredestein have been an amazing tire. They are quite, smooth and very comfortable. I am kind of an aggressive driver at times, especially on curves. These tires are excellent when hugging the curves, weather wet or dry. They definitely are an impressive tire and a quality tire for the money. I would absolutely recommend buying these tires. Love them!!!!!!!!!

I've never had a set of tires that have reached their treadwear warranty... until now. Not only have these Vredesteins reached their warranty, but they have surpassed it. 40k warranty and I've driven 43,000 on them and counting. I just had the tread measured recently. They're down to 4's, so I still got some time before I need new ones. All told I'll probably get 45,000 miles on these. Never thought this was possible with tires.

Still really like these tires. I wish they had more tread life, but these are high performance tires. I will buy these again in the fall when I need to replace them. I should have 30,000+ miles out of them by then. For the price of the tire, I do think they are a good value.
