The Quatrac is Vredestein's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans and station wagons looking for good dry and wet performance combined with confident light snow traction. The Quatrac is an all-weather tire meeting industry severe snow service requirements to qualify for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance.
The Quatrac features an all-season tread compound molded into a distinctive, directional, v-shaped pattern. Larger outboard blocks increase dry road cornering along with a connected center element helping maintain handling and steering response. The resulting large, open grooves effectively evacuate standing water for increased hydroplaning resistance and combine with two types of sipes for confident control in wet conditions. High-density siping and numerous off-angle blocks create the biting edges needed to provide light snow traction for stability in wintry weather conditions.
Internal construction of the Quatrac features twin steel belts for strength and durability, along with a single ply casing and reinforcement for comfort and high-speed stability.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...The only gripe is road noise but the dry grip is great, the wet grip and hydroplaning resistance are great...
Amazing tires. Do all tires for most people. The only gripe is road noise but the dry grip is great, the wet grip and hydroplaning resistance are great, and light-medium snow is extremely good for what it is. The snow performance of these tires allowed me to drive with an extreme amount of confidence in the two years of snow I have experienced with this car in Chicago.

...These tires perform flawlessly in the desert heat and monsoon storms that are common in the Sonoran Desert...
Our vehicle is a 2000 Grand Prix GT with a curb weight of about 4,000 pounds. The TireRack testing stated that the road noise is distracting or pronounced. I suppose that would be true if we were to stop the engine on a steep decline, with no radio or HVAC running. Perhaps a lighter or heavier vehicle was used for their testing, but we strongly disagree with their noise test results.
These tires perform flawlessly in the desert heat and monsoon storms that are common in the Sonoran Desert. We've not noticed any appreciable tread wear in the past 14,000 miles.
I would assert that TireRack underrated the magnificent performance of the Vredestein Quatrac. Lateral weight transfer and body roll is exceptional, especially when slightly overpressurized. Longitudinal weight transfer is minimal and is only due to the suspension. It takes excessive emergency braking effort at speeds over 60 MPH to induce any amount of traction loss. Only with sudden full-throttle acceleration from a stop will these tires lose any traction.
We're noticing no appreciable mileage loss despite these tires not being low rolling resistance, averaging 22 MPG in the city and about 28 MPG on the open road. The Quatrac does not change behavior or characteristics whether they're cold or warmed; their capabilities are always consistent, predictable, and dependable.
If you want a set of tires that are worth well over their selling price, buy the Vredestein Quatrac.

Most customers rate winter traction highly with scores of 8-10. Snow and deep snow performance receive excellent ratings, with many 9s and 10s. Occasional lower ice scores don't overshadow strong all-season capability.

...I was surprised by how much more traction they had than my old tires when we had in a snowstorm shortly after I had these tires installed - very good grip even going uphill. My car has AWD (FWD bias) and these tires require me to intentionally break them loose if I want to, most of the time. On ice, well, you're on ice.
These have been the best tires I've put on my car. They are excellent for the money. I have had them on my car for a year now and have been overall impressed.
I was surprised by how much more traction they had than my old tires when we had a snowstorm shortly after I had these tires installed — very good grip even going uphill. My car has AWD (FWD bias) and these tires require me to intentionally break them loose if I want to, most of the time. On ice, well, you're on ice. They're not magic tires, but if you know how to drive and take your time, they'll do their job.
I've also been impressed with their hydroplane resistance when driving through heavy rain with pooling water on the roads and highways. Regular wet traction (no pooling water) is great as well.
These are also the grippiest tires I've had in the dry, too. The dry cornering and traction is excellent and inspires confidence rather than confusion like my old tires. I haven't really managed to break them loose in the dry yet, but I drive an old Volvo, not a sports car.
Also, for what it's worth, I'd describe my driving style as a "spirited commuter" — I do a lot of regular driving both in the city and on the highway, am absolutely not afraid of snow, and love some actual spirited driving on the back roads to enjoy my car.
The tread wear, noise, and ride comfort are all very reasonable in my opinion. The tread wear rating of these tires is a little lower than some comparable tires, but I'm happy with it at this point, given how good everything else has been in actual experience.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with these tires, and if I don't find a better option when it comes time to replace them, I'll likely buy another set of these. I'd recommend them as in my experience they have been excellent all-season tires.

...In dry conditions, these tires continue to impress. The dry cornering capability is commendable, offering a good balance between grip and flexibility. The dry traction is noteworthy as well, allowing for responsive and reliable driving...
I recently purchased the Vredestein Quatrac Tires in size 185/55R15 for my 2015 Chevy Spark, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed with their performance. The tires excel in various weather conditions, which is crucial for my driving needs.
Firstly, the hydroplaning resistance of these tires is remarkable. During heavy rains, I felt a significant improvement in control and stability, which instilled a sense of safety and confidence in wet conditions. The wet traction is another aspect where these tires shine. They provide a firm grip on the road, ensuring smooth and secure handling.
In dry conditions, these tires continue to impress. The dry cornering capability is commendable, offering a good balance between grip and flexibility. The dry traction is noteworthy as well, allowing for responsive and reliable driving.
However, the most standout feature for me was their performance in snowy conditions. Recently, I drove to Tahoe, and the tires handled the snowy roads exceptionally well. The grip and control in the snow were outstanding, making my journey safe and enjoyable.
On the downside, I noticed that the ride noise is slightly louder compared to other tires I've used in the past. However, this minor drawback is easily overshadowed by the overall quality and performance of the product.
In terms of price, I believe these tires offer great value. The balance between cost and quality is impressive, making them a smart choice for anyone looking for reliable all-season tires.
Overall, the Vredestein Quatrac Tires are a fantastic choice for anyone driving a vehicle like the Chevy Spark, especially if you require versatile performance in various weather conditions. The assurance and control they provide, especially in wet and snowy conditions, are what make these tires stand out. The slight increase in ride noise is a small price to pay for the safety and performance they offer. Highly recommended! (I ordered these when they offered $110 rebate. Well worth it!)

...I felt a lighter and quicker response the first time I turned the wheel pulling out of the parking lot of the tire installer...
This is a light tire. It weighs 4.5 lbs. less per tire than my previous ones. The ride improvement has been incredible. Most of it probably due to the weight difference. I no longer feel every crack in the road and the ride is less "punchy" over bumps. I felt a lighter and quicker response the first time I turned the wheel pulling out of the parking lot of the tire installer. I thought I would be purchasing shocks/struts next, but the purchase of these tires has pushed that way down the road (pun intended). I wish I could give more comments on other aspects of this tire, but I don't drive very much anymore and have less than 1000 miles on them.

Customers overwhelmingly rate the Vredestein Quatrac's ride comfort as excellent, with most scoring 9s and 10s. Noise levels also receive strong praise, though a few note minor variations. Perfectly suited for Grand Touring All-Season use, it delivers a smooth, quiet driving experience.

...Tires give a very comfortable ride and excellent wet and dry ride...
Very happy with these tires and the entire Tire Rack experience. Tires give a very comfortable ride and excellent wet and dry ride. Have not driven in snow yet but feel that they will perform well. Probably won't last as long as harder tires but I'm fine with that, they perform extremely well!

...I cant speak to how much these tires will wear when the weather and roads get hot. I do fully expect them to go at least 60k...
these tires did very well during 3 pretty severe snow events in this area. No issues and with these tires it was no problem going up on down hill on snow packed roads, deep snow or slush. I saw many 4x4 and AWD vehicles in the ditch or struggling to get traction because they had all season tires on. Traction is a non issue with these tires. I expect them to perform just as well in rain. I only have about on about 1500 to 2000 miles on them so far during cold weather. I cant speak to how much these tires will wear when the weather and roads get hot. I do fully expect them to go at least 60k. IMO these tires are just as good or better than the Michelin Cross climate and at a price point that is about $25 less. Very similar tread design, so I expect them to perform about the same as they are both 3 Peak Mountain certified. I like the 3 peak since I can run them year round and dont have to pay to switch over to all seasons very spring.

...wear to date is outstanding, with normal rotations I can't even yet guesstimate how much more use I'll get out of them...
I have not had a better set of tires on my Jetta - my biggest concern is overall traction on light snow to snow-packed and icy conditions (Central Colorado), and these have outperformed all of my previous Michelin All Season choices - wear to date is outstanding, with normal rotations I can't even yet guesstimate how much more use I'll get out of them. Have not yet had any punctures, which I've always had to deal with, being somewhat rural. I do a 50+ mile daily commute, and it's a fair drive to the nearest town, so I've put these to the test. Hard to say if they're the quietest tire I've had on this car, but these are right up there. My mileage is also not adversely affected. I'm hoping this design will continue to be available, I will consider no alternatives when it's time for a new set.
