The Quatrac is Vredestein's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans and station wagons looking for good dry and wet performance combined with confident light snow traction. The Quatrac is an all-weather tire meeting industry severe snow service requirements to qualify for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance.
The Quatrac features an all-season tread compound molded into a distinctive, directional, v-shaped pattern. Larger outboard blocks increase dry road cornering along with a connected center element helping maintain handling and steering response. The resulting large, open grooves effectively evacuate standing water for increased hydroplaning resistance and combine with two types of sipes for confident control in wet conditions. High-density siping and numerous off-angle blocks create the biting edges needed to provide light snow traction for stability in wintry weather conditions.
Internal construction of the Quatrac features twin steel belts for strength and durability, along with a single ply casing and reinforcement for comfort and high-speed stability.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

Comfort earns praise for its plush ride quality and quiet operation, aligning with its touring focus. ...They are super grippy... and just have a super planted and secure feel to them...
I purchased this tire for my 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage SE Hatchback. I did so because the factory tires the car came with which were P175/55/15V Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 422 Plus were loud and thumpy, hard riding over any bumps and hot poor wet traction. Looking these tires up I quickly realized many people on many makes and models had the same issue with the Ecopias. I was hoping the new Vredestein Quatrac would improve all these areas but I had no idea how much it would. I have had the Vredestein Quatrac 5 on my 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage SE and our 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT and they were great tires all the way around, quiet, great in rain and snow and a great tire. Then on my 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL Touring I had the Vredestein Quatrac Pro and it was great as well in every area! But the new Vredestein Quatrac (replaces the Quatrac 5) is by far the best of the 3 with its V design tread pattern and improvements in wet and dry handling, braking, snow and ice traction. Its amazing. This tire is so smooth and so quiet its crazy the difference it made in my new 2021 Mirage SE. They are super grippy, super smooth on bumps and pot holes, way quieter, and just have a super planted and secure feel to them. I have not driven them in the snow but based on experience with Vredesteins Quatrac 5 and Quatrac Pro and how well they did and with them making even more improvements with this tire it is quite clear it will do amazing. Also the test results online show this for the new Quatrac. Overall Vredestein is the best brand tire I have ever owned over the years. We used to always buy Coopers and they were good but not great but overall very happy with them. I had 2 bad experiences with Goodyear Weatherready and Goodyear Comfort Tread tires and the price is outrageous for Goodyear and not worth it. Vredestein is a better tire in every way plus handles every season with ease being an all weather tire vs all season tire. Trust me, go with Vredestein.

Amazing tires. Do all tires for most people. The only gripe is road noise but the dry grip is great, the wet grip and hydroplaning resistance are great, and light-medium snow is extremely good for what it is. The snow performance of these tires allowed me to drive with an extreme amount of confidence in the two years of snow I have experienced with this car in Chicago.

Winter traction receives strong praise, with most customers scoring 9s and 10s for snowy conditions. While ice performance shows mostly 7-8s, a few lower ratings highlight occasional challenges on ice-still delivering reliable all-season capability.

I have not had a better set of tires on my Jetta - my biggest concern is overall traction on light snow to snow-packed and icy conditions (Central Colorado), and these have outperformed all of my previous Michelin All Season choices - wear to date is outstanding, with normal rotations I can't even yet guesstimate how much more use I'll get out of them. Have not yet had any punctures, which I've always had to deal with, being somewhat rural. I do a 50+ mile daily commute, and it's a fair drive to the nearest town, so I've put these to the test. Hard to say if they're the quietest tire I've had on this car, but these are right up there. My mileage is also not adversely affected. I'm hoping this design will continue to be available, I will consider no alternatives when it's time for a new set.

these tires did very well during 3 pretty severe snow events in this area. No issues and with these tires it was no problem going up on down hill on snow packed roads, deep snow or slush. I saw many 4x4 and AWD vehicles in the ditch or struggling to get traction because they had all season tires on. Traction is a non issue with these tires. I expect them to perform just as well in rain. I only have about on about 1500 to 2000 miles on them so far during cold weather. I cant speak to how much these tires will wear when the weather and roads get hot. I do fully expect them to go at least 60k. IMO these tires are just as good or better than the Michelin Cross climate and at a price point that is about $25 less. Very similar tread design, so I expect them to perform about the same as they are both 3 Peak Mountain certified. I like the 3 peak since I can run them year round and dont have to pay to switch over to all seasons very spring.

Able to drag my Swedish brick through a few feet of snow on forest service roads, while being predicable and comfortable on dry pavement. Excellent in everything from rain to deep snow, and with a compound resilient enough to be left on year round. They are relatively quiet when compared to Firestone Weathergrips previously on the car, with much better deep snow performance. Braking and turning performance in all weather is superb. They do not grip on ice, no studless tire can, but they hunt for traction as best they and with careful driving they will get you through anything. Tread pattern is derivative of a Cross Climate 2, and the performance matches for significantly less per tire in this size. Great value for the money, and a great product over all.

...When it is dry outside, the fun begins. These handle off ramps like a champ. Very difficult to break traction from a start. This car is glued to the road even at speeds not approved by the law.
I bought these tires about 18 months ago. Great at first. Wet driving is very good except for accelerating from a stop. With my car coming on boost at 1500rpm it is very difficult to modulate between getting enough acceleration so not to become a speed bump and not breaking traction. Snow driving is a challenge for the same reason. Even when starting in Eco mode, I am having traction issues. When it is dry outside , the fun begins. These handle off ramps like a champ. Very difficult to break traction from a start. This car is glued to the road even at speeds not approved by the law. I have taken off ramps at near 2x the posted speed in dry and it is just planted and glued to the road. I have rotated these tires every oil change as I work at a place where I can do my own work for free. Would I buy these again? No.
Pros: excellent dry handling decent wet handling
Cons: not as quiet as other tires I have had (Cooper CS5) only average snow handling
This all might come down to the car and the early turbo boost. I do drive very cautious in snow and wet vs when it is dry. In snow it just does not fill me with confidence

I have had these tires through summer, fall and most of a snowy winter season and am totally satisfied with their performance. Dry and wet handling is great, noise is unnoticeable, and I have had no problems dealing with a moderately heavy snow season. Surprised that the comfort level of these tires is so much higher than my old Michelins without sacrificing any performance. Definitely would recommend.

The Vredestein Quatrac tyre has been a very good experience overall. I have been able to throw the car into corners without worrying about losing grip, both in the dry and the wet. I am less impressed with the tyre noise that has developed over time. Starting somewhere around the 10,000 mile mark the tires started getting noisy. The wheels are balanced and there are no signs of obvious problems with the tyres, but they consistently make more noise than I would like. I suppose that if the car was not an EV I might not notice the hum.
The tire is fine for a temperate climate that sometimes gets snow, but I am now living in north-western New Brunswick, Canada and the tyres have proven to be very middling for the weather here. Mind you, I purchased these tyres to potentially run year round and you can get by with using them in the snow if you recognise the limits and employ common sense.
Overall, I am quite happy with the purchase and would very likely buy them again *if* I lived in a more temperate climate.

...The tread wear, noise, and ride comfort are all very reasonable in my opinion. The tread wear rating is a little lower than some comparable tires, but I'm happy with it at this point, given how good everything else has been in actual experience...
These have been the best tires I've put on my car. They are excellent for the money. I have had them on my car for a year now and have been overall impressed.
I was surprised by how much more traction they had than my old tires when we had a snowstorm shortly after I had these tires installed — very good grip even going uphill. My car has AWD (FWD bias) and these tires require me to intentionally break them loose if I want to, most of the time. On ice, well, you're on ice. They're not magic tires, but if you know how to drive and take your time, they'll do their job.
I've also been impressed with their hydroplane resistance when driving through heavy rain with pooling water on the roads and highways. Regular wet traction (no pooling water) is great as well.
These are also the grippiest tires I've had in the dry, too. The dry cornering and traction is excellent and inspires confidence rather than confusion like my old tires. I haven't really managed to break them loose in the dry yet, but I drive an old Volvo, not a sports car.
Also, for what it's worth, I'd describe my driving style as a "spirited commuter" — I do a lot of regular driving both in the city and on the highway, am absolutely not afraid of snow, and love some actual spirited driving on the back roads to enjoy my car.
The tread wear, noise, and ride comfort are all very reasonable in my opinion. The tread wear rating of these tires is a little lower than some comparable tires, but I'm happy with it at this point, given how good everything else has been in actual experience.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with these tires, and if I don't find a better option when it comes time to replace them, I'll likely buy another set of these. I'd recommend them as in my experience they have been excellent all-season tires.

...Treadwear was good until I sold it, and there was a little bit of added road noise due to the decent sized voids for a passenger tire...
A very solid "premium" all around touring tire, I was between these and the Michelin CrossClimates. I was living in the Vail valley at the time and they did extremely well in sub zero winter temps, in spite of not being a snow/ice tire. In deep snow and glass ice there was some spinning, albeit not much (the car came with a limited slip front end, so disabling traction control meant it still could seriously pull), but expected for something that's not a winter tire. They do fine on gravel, but obviously had very limited off road due to the low clearance. Treadwear was good until I sold it, and there was a little bit of added road noise due to the decent sized voids for a passenger tire.
All around, a great choice if you regularly have to deal with both sub-zero winter conditions and triple digit pavement temps in the summer.

Compared to the OEM Firestone FR740 high performance all season these Vredestein Quatrac Grand Touring just blows the OEM tires out of the water in every category. Wet grip is fantastic as well as dry grip....I would not be comfortable driving as fast in the rain on the OEM tires compared to these. These are very comfortable and quiet but handles well and feels light, very predictable tires with good feedback. These will be my go to tires from now on, at the price they punch way above their weight, feel like much more expensive tires. This tire is a hidden gem.
