Got these the day I bought my Polestar as snow was expected in Central Washington where I was headed. Safe and confident feel in light snow and handled some black ice well. Since then it has been a mostly cold and very wet Northwest winter. Very impressed with wet traction and handling, and tires are very quiet. This is my third set of tires from Vredestein (the other two sets were Quatrac Pro, which I was quite pleased with). Overall very impressed with this tire brand. Similar performance to the top brands at a much better price.

Customers consistently praise the Vredestein Wintrac Pro's winter traction, with most snow and deep snow scores at 9-10 and ice traction primarily 7-10. High ratings highlight excellent grip in harsh conditions, though a few note slightly reduced ice performance. Overall, it delivers reliable winter confidence.

The tire looks great so I thought it would be useless in the snow. My car is rear- wheel drive only, but I was sure surprised the first time I drove on snow covered streets. While I have yet to experience truly wretched winter weather with these tires, they have so far performed up to my expectations. They've been solid, comfortable and handled very well on dry pavement and in the rain, and have provided excellent traction and handling on snow.

...These tires are very confidence inspiring, making it feel like you're always in control. I often find myself passing trucks, Jeeps, Subarus, etc. They actually feel great in unplowed lanes too. They devour fresh snow...
I had never heard of Vredestein, but now I'm recommending them to everyone. I bought them because Blizzaks were sold out in my size, but I don't know that I'll ever switch now. I've had them for three winters and like them more and more each year. I do a lot of winter driving in Wisconsin (and IL, IA, and MO), so I see several months of snow and ice. These tires are very confidence inspiring, making it feel like you're always in control. I often find myself passing trucks, Jeeps, Subarus, etc. They actually feel great in unplowed lanes too. They devour fresh snow. Just for fun, I'll push it every now and then to see how fast I can comfortably drive in blizzard conditions, and...well it's fast haha. Obviously nothing feels great on slush, but they do a good job of evacuating slush and keeping good grip. Ice is never fun, but the vast amount of sipes do a great job compared to anything else I've driven. I drive a Subaru Crosstrek with snow-biased all-season tires, and even with all wheel drive, it is way more sketchy. They're actually holding up quite a bit better than I thought they would too. I obviously spend a decent amount of time on dry pavement, and sometimes up to 60+ degrees on random hot Missouri days. After three winters and several long trips, they still look almost new.
I have owned and driven several different cars and vehicles in all sorts of winter conditions, and I've never felt more in control than in my little Hyundai hatchback with Vredestein Wintrac Pro tires. 11/10 would recommend.

I found these tires to be very grippy with dry and wet pavement performance very similar to the OEM Dunlop Sport Maxx RTs. The tires were installed 06 Dec 21 and were removed 15 Mar 22 for 3,034 miles, mostly on dry or wet pavement. The tread lost was 2.5/32" on the rear tires and 3/32" on the front tires (out of 10/32" when new), so figure around 9000 miles (3 winters) before requiring replacement. Great traction on snow, though we didn't get all that much in the Pittsburgh, PA area last winter. Great performing tires that I will definitely get again the next time...

...Sure, on a spirited backroad run, I was left wishing for more feel and feedback, but could still run above the posted speed limits without any drama... Launching the car from a stop in the dry also produces little drama and just the faintest wiggle from the rear end...
Purchased these as a winter tire set to compliment the dedicated summer tires on my wife's GSF. I am very satisfied that the steering and basic handling balance of the car was not ruined by these dedicated winter tires over the Pilot Sports that came on the car. Sure, on a spirited backroad run, I was left wishing for a bit more feel and feedback, but could still run above the posted speed limits without any drama. In the only time I've driven the car in cold, damp conditions, traction was great off the line. Launching the car from a stop in the dry also produces little drama and just the faintest wiggle from the rear end. Overall, I'm really happy with them. I'll report back if we get any snow or I get a chance to drive them in heavy rain.

These set of Vredestein Wintrac Pro's grip through water easily, haven't tested in snow yet. Purchased and installed in Reno, NV, drove across country to Virginia, very quiet and comfortable ride. Tested in a recent rain storm and the tires maintained an excellent grip. Had one issue on I-64 at 60 mph, went through a deep puddle on a left turn and the left front tire lost grip for a very brief moment but didn't lose control. I might be able to test the snow capabilities next week in New York. Dry stability is excellent, very dependable cornering with no loss of traction at moderate speeds.

Got these tires for my girlfriend’s car for the winter. The first time she drove it in the snow and ice she was very impressed. We live in the mountains of West Virginia. I’ve also driven her car when my truck was out of commission. I was impressed with the traction I had starting from a dead-stop going up hill. So far We haven’t had any issues with the tires. Since the tires aren’t solely winter tires, the ride is comfortable. Although, we haven’t driven the car for more than an hour since the tires were installed. Im guessing it’s a comfortable ride. Great buy. Will definitely purchase again.

...But what they do provide is a very safe, stable, and comfortable ride during the winter months...
Highly recommend! Excellent winter tire and will definitely be a repeat customer of this model, as well as the Vredestein brand. I do about 50 miles round trip on the highway each day M-F.
Let's be clear, these aren't going to turn your sports sedan into a Jeep in the snow. But what they do provide is a very safe, stable, and comfortable ride during the winter months. Allowed me to continue to drive just as confidently as I would on a set of summer tires in the cold and snowy winter months. I do mostly highway driving (so rarely driving on un-treated roads here), but these did get me home safely through about 3 winter storms this year when the roads were not treated or plowed with about 4-5" of snow on them.
Previously I've had Pirelli Sottozero tires on other vehicles, and the Wintrac Pros blow those out of the water when it comes to handling once the temperature drops. In all honesty, they handle better than the stock summer Conti run-flats that I just re-mounted. I will probably be replacing those with Vredestein's Ultrac Vorti in the near future.

...I am particularly impressed with the treadwear performance, and the dry performance of these tires...
Fantastic set of winter tires! I am particularly impressed with the treadwear performance, and the dry performance of these tires. They have better steering feel than the stock Michelin Primacy HPs that came on my BRZ. I was able to plow through all conditions we experienced here in Buffalo this past winter with ease, as well as many trips into Canada. Ride comfort was hardly a compromise, however road noise was a bit louder than I'd like. As far as snow tires go, though, they're pretty quiet. I am shocked at how well-rounded these tires are, especially compared to Continental VikingContact7s, Blizzaks, and General Altimax Arctic Ices, all of which I have tried. Blizzaks are more comfortable and quiet, but sacrifice dry performance. VikingContact7s are similarly well-rounded, but are slightly squishier. Generals are just as well-rounded, but are much harsher. When pushed in a corner, these tires deliver a very surprising amount of grip, and break traction in the dry very progressively. Hadn't heard of Vredestein tires before trying these, and I am absolutely sold.

...The wear over 6,000 miles has been excellent...
These tires were purchased with 19 inch wheels for a 2021 Audi SQ5 Sportback. The vehicle comes with 21 inch Pirellli P Zeroes. After having driven 6,000 miles in winter and spring I can say that these are the best winter tires I have owned. I have previously had several iterations of Bridgestone Blizzaks for Audis and BMWs, which I was always happy with. The wear over 6,000 miles has been excellent. However, what makes these stand apart is their handling in the dry and the unexpected absence of noise which one usually notices when driving with winter tires. I cannot comment on deep snow and sheets of ice, only the typical packed frozen snow one usually sees now a days from the ubiquitous snow plows here in south central PA. I have a long driveway on a hill and have had no difficulties going up or down. In addition, I admit to sometimes driving 80 to 100 mph when dry out (I know, I know) on these tires and have always felt in control with good feedback. Would definitely purchase again. As an aside, I get more compliments on the Tire Rack wheels than the OEMs! (Bremmer Kraft BR20 Gloss Gun.)
