The Wrangler Duratrac RT is Goodyear's Rugged All-Terrain tire, built for the drivers of pickups, work vehicles, SUVs and trucks requiring a tire with the rugged durability needed to get the job done, all day, every day. Engineered to easily traverse the urban jungle, dirt, gravel, and unimproved jobsites, the Wrangler Duratrac RT combines on-road transportation with off-road prowess and traction year-round, including light snow performance meeting the tire industry's severe snow service rating requirements for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
The Wrangler Duratrac RT features a next-generation tread design comprised of a rugged compound formulated for durability, built to resist deformation, chunking or tearing during off-road or heavy duty applications. Its wide-grooved symmetric tread pattern combines large shoulders and highly angled center tread blocks to enhance stability and traction in dry and wet conditions. An optimized pressure footprint encourages predictable highway driving and even wear for longer service life. The alternating lug patterns in the shoulder and sidewall provide additional grip on all surfaces, including rock, thick mud, or loose soil. Deep, circumferential grooves and wide, lateral notches improve hydroplaning resistance. The zigzag sipes interspersed through each tread block ensure the biting edges needed for traction in cold, slippery conditions are always ready.
The internal construction of the Wrangler Duratrac RT features three-ply polyester cord sidewalls encircled by twin steel belts for off-road durability and on-road drivability. All capped off with a 2-ply polyamide casing reinforced by Kevlar™. The Durawall sidewall compound features a triple-ply design for added rigidity and protection against deformation, cuts and punctures.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

These Yokohamas have been great in warm weather, wet or dry...
These are the OEM-contracted tires for U.S. market Subaru Wilderness vehicles at the moment, and my 2024 Crosstrek came with them. There is nothing “all-terrain” about these other than the name; they generally resemble, at least in my size, any average touring tire from twenty years ago. Compared to commercial traction tires I’m used to on larger 4WD vehicles, they’re about on-par with road handling in similar conditions. Not fantastic in the snow, but they’ll get you where you need to go short of an inch-per-hour whiteout. I would be hesitant to take these out in a storm. That being said, these Yokohamas have been great in warm weather, wet or dry. In the dirt, they do about as well as any other tire I’ve had on a Subaru (Goodyear Assurance, Cooper ProControl, and whatever the Forester Premium currently comes with), no better, no worse. A reasonable tire for average driving. However, since I will be towing a small camper from time to time, I will be upgrading to an XL tire with a more aggressive tread, such as Toyo Open Country A/T III, to make sure that I have no issues controlling the trailer in the mild off-road camping sites I plan on visiting. These WILL fill with mud and are not nearly as self-cleaning as I would prefer; if traction gets too bad in the winter I would probably opt for snow tires on a second set of wheels. These Yokohama Geolandar A/T G15s are not cheap, either - I would rather spend more on two sets than an expensive compromise like this. Then again, consider that I live in a very rural part of upstate New York, where winters can be bad and summer roads can be even worse sometimes. For perfectly average driving in mild weather parts of the country, they’re perfectly adequate, ordinary tires.

Feel very safe driving with these tires. Great on Interstate driving and rainy days. I always check the air in the tires and take to a local CO-OP store to check the tire pressure and use the amount that is posted on driver's side door for correct amount of tire pressure.

...We had 8 inches of snow here yesterday and was great getting to my mom's place out in the county roads...
Visually I wanted a tire a few notches down from the typical off road knoby looking profile. So once I selected this tire I discovered it has been around a long time with a great reputation. These tires are butter smooth on the highway. We had 8 inches of snow here yesterday and was great getting to my mom's place out in the county roads. Caught the tires on sale with great price. Life is good.

...After 25,000 miles, the tread is still at 8/32s. I'm only replacing them because they've aged out chronologically...
A few years ago, I did a lot of research to find tires with the best balance of off-road and on-road traction, and I decided on these. It was a great decision. I'd never owned Yokohama tires before, but they haven't failed me once. They’ve tackled beach sand, mud, and mountain rocks with ease. I've never spun a wheel in the rain or snow, and they consistently provide a quiet highway ride, even as they've aged. After 25,000 miles, the tread is still at 8/32s. I'm only replacing them because they've aged out chronologically. I didn't have to overthink it this time around—I just bought the exact same set.
