Installed a set of 17x7.5s all-around on my 2013 BRZ. I think this is one of the best wheels available for these cars-- they're light (~15lbs / corner for this size-- about five pounds per corner lighter than the stock wheels), they've stood up admirably to Southern California's crappy roads, they're a decent-looking design, and the prices are very reasonable.
These wheels are noticeably lighter than the heavy, stock wheels. The car feels much better over lumpy pavement. Can't say I've noticed any big improvements in acceleration or braking, but every bit of rotating mass reduction helps. 17x7.5 is also a very nice wheel size in that it gives you a ton of tyre options. I'm using 225-section Pilot Super-Sports at the moment, which are a great fit (and a fantastic tyre overall).
My only fair criticism of these wheels (unfair criticisms: I don't think they're the sexiest design, but that's in the eye of the beholder, and 18's would look better in the wheel wells than 17's, but bigger = heavier) is that the painted finish doesn't seem super durable-- I've had mine for about a year and a half, and they've already picked up quite a few stone chips on the spokes. At the end of the day though, this is hardly a major complaint. All things considered, these wheels are a real performance bargain; if the way the car drives matters more to you than aesthetics, these things in 17" form definitely deserve place on your short-list.
