The Roadian CT8 HL is NEXEN's Highway All-Season tire, developed primarily for Cargo/Utility Vans, Commercial Trucks, and RVs designed for over-the-road commercial or recreational travel.

The Roadian CT8 HL offers an innovative, wear-resistant compound for optimal durability and tread longevity. The compound is molded into a symmetric tread pattern featuring a half-depth transverse groove in the center block for enhanced rigidity. The strong shoulder design helps improve stiffness and reduce noise. Three wide, circumferential grooves help maximize water evacuation for heightened hydroplaning resistance, while in-groove biting edges combine with sipes in the tread blocks to deliver all-season traction in slippery, wet, and wintery conditions.

The tire's internal construction consists of a polyester casing, featuring two steel belts and one nylon reinforcement which combine to deliver increased handling at higher speeds & added protection against damage.

Continental ContiSportContact 2 Reviews

Customer surveys indicate the Continental ContiSportContact 2 excels in dry traction (8-10 scores) with sharp handling and responsive steering, aligning with its Max Performance Summer design. Wet traction earns positive feedback (7-10 scores) for reliable grip, though some note reduced confidence in heavy rain. Comfort receives praise for a smooth ride (7-8 scores) despite occasional mentions of road noise. Treadwear is a notable concern, with many ratings in the 1-5 range, suggesting shorter lifespan under aggressive use. Drivers prioritizing summer performance and handling over longevity report high satisfaction, while those expecting extended mileage may find trade-offs.

...Gotta admit that the tires tend to hydroplane more than all season tires, but the wet traction overall is frightenly good.

Some of the best tires Ive ever used. Sure makes the Audi handle with confidence, especially in the skinny twisty roads in North Georgia. I plan to use the same tires when they need to be replaced. The tires need to be replaced soon, even after 13600 miles, but I tend to drive very aggressively, tires spinning and sliding though turns. Gotta admit that the tires tend to hydroplane more than all season tires, but the wet traction overall is frightenly good.

...Tires performed well; impressed with their wet traction, even during a deluge you keep your confidence in the tires which is impressive with the 295s that i have in the back...

This is the second set I've had on my car; the first one only lasted 8K miles; installed and aligned by Tire Kingdom, the current set was installed and aligned by the Porsche dealer; i have learned my lesson with that. Tires performed well; impressed with their wet traction, even during a deluge you keep your confidence in the tires which is impressive with the 295s that i have in the back. As mentioned in other reviews; the tires get pretty noisy, but then again they are high performance tires.

Tires are very surprising in how well they grip AND how long they last. Excellent cornering and braking traction. Do communicate well at the limit. At 7000 miles, have about 1/32 of wear. Only downside is that the tire is noisy on macadam type of road surface. Quiet on good asphalt or concrete, but if the surface is not smooth, the tire does try to drown out the radio. Still, at this point, I would buy another set.

...Very sharp steering response, tracking and ultimate grip... When you do reach the very high limits of adhesion, breakaway is smooth and predictable with no surprizes...

ACHTUNG: Wunderbar tires! Im running these on my Caddy CTS with Sport Package and they are stunning! Very sharp steering response, tracking and ultimate grip. Very quiet and stable. When you do reach the very high limits of adhesion, breakaway is smooth and predictable with no surprizes. What Im trying to figure out is how Conti gets all this performance, plus a really nice smooth ride quality. I can not imagine a better performance tire/value than these beauties.

...Dry traction was more like tires in the ultra high performance category...

Despite all of the negative review that I have read, I bought this tire and was impressed with its performance. Dry traction was more like tires in the ultra high performance category but wet traction was awesome, similar to the Goodyear GS-D3s. Due to this wet weather traction, the tire had much great flexibility than other max performance, ultra high performance summer and all season tires. I like using all types of different tires and it was much better than anticipated. Treadwear was consistent with the treadrating. I am not sure why everyone complains about it. You can expect 10,000 to 15,000 miles, just like the GS-D3 a similar outstanding max performance tire. I even drove cross country in the light to medium snow. I took a road trip from Texas to Iowa, across to Washington DC and it performed exceptionally for a max performance tire. Overall it performed almost exactly like a GS-D3, but with more flexible sizes, ie 295/30 19s. If you want max performance in the summer and do not want to change to winter tires and live in a populated area that gets rain, this or the Gs-D3s are the tire for you my friend.

This is a great tire in the dry and for cornering, does well with wet roads but when it's pouring rain it does hydro specially when there's some wear on them. I know I'm hard on tires but after ten thousand miles there done, completely worn out.

...Smooth, comfortable, predictable...

Great overall tire. Considering the high level of traction, both dry and wet, I was surprised they lasted for 30K+ miles. Smooth, comfortable, predictable. They don't just 'break away' when pushed to the limit. Instead they start slipping a little, which let's you know you need to back off. In that sense, they inspire confidence because you can tell exactly where the limit lies. They have moderate road noise, and a little pricey, but a solid tire, with an excellent blend of wet/dry traction and treadwear.

...Nice blend of handling, road comfort and performance...

Overall these tires are good. Nice blend of handling, road comfort and performance. However the treadware has been poor, not even getting 20K miles out of the rear tires and they are bald. And the C230 is not what I would consider an overpowered car where we are doing burnouts all the time. Perhaps the car is just tough on rear tires but I am still going to try something different. Like I said they are great tires on the road just going to try something different to see if we get longer tread life. If we do not then I will consider going back with these.

...I do love the balance of comfort vs. performance on my sport suspension...

After 7800 miles of spirited driving, I am halfway through the life of these OEM Conti Sport Contact 2.
Dry grip is less than expected for a "max" performance summer tire, but still pretty good. I do love the blance of comfort vs. performance on my sport suspension.
I do wish they had better tread life for the level of performance they offer, or more grip for the same tread life. Will be considering the Extreme Contact DW or the Potenza RE760 next.

Despite some 9s and 10s, numerous scores between 0-5 highlight rapid wear and disappointed customers. Many report premature tread loss, needing early replacement even with proper summer use-unimpressive longevity for a Max Performance Summer tire.

...But they were down to the wear strips by 15,000 miles...I consider that to be very poor tread life, especially considering this car is driven mostly on the highway...

The Continentals were great performance tires - very stable in hard cornering, predictable near the limit. But they were down to the wear strips by 15,000 miles...I consider that to be very poor tread life, especially considering this car is driven mostly on the highway. Just installed Michelin Pilot Sports ordered from TireRack and find same, if not better, handling - and expect to get much longer life, I hope.

...Most importantly, at 24,000 my rear tires are completely bald with barely any visible tread. The fronts not half as bad but have some excessive wear on the outer shoulders...

These tires came with my car as original equipment. They are great for handling in the dry,and not too bad in the rain. I wouldnt bother driving in the snow with these, its a nightmare.

I am replacing these with Conti Extreme contacts to get a little foul weather traction.

Most importantly , at 24,000 my rear tires are completely bald with barely any visible tread. The fronts not half as bad but have some excessive wear on the outer shoulders.

I would get them again only to have a second set of snows for the winter.

Back tires completly worn out with less than 11,000 miles. Front tires show little wear. Was expecting more out of the tires. If Continental or OK City Mercedes dealer does not warrant tires, will definitly not put another set on the car because of lack of mileage you get out of them. Expensive and DARN WELL NOT worth it!
