Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The ADVAN A052 is Yokohama's Extreme Performance Summer tire developed for drivers who use their street-driven vehicles to participate in high-performance driving schools, autocross, and open track events and want Yokohama's highest level of DOT-approved performance. Like all Extreme Performance Summer tires, the ADVAN A052 is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

The ADVAN A052 molds Yokohama's motorsports MS Compound into a track-ready, asymmetric tread design for extreme levels of grip. The low-void tread pattern features wide center ribs and an expansive outboard shoulder for maximum traction, and the rounded tread profile helps to evenly distribute pressure across the footprint, creating more contact with the road. Notches in the outboard micro groove improve cooling for added durability and consistency when used on the track. Two wide, circumferential grooves and the notched inboard shoulder help evacuate water from the tread pattern to enhance hydroplaning resistance.

A casing consisting of two plies of nylon cord supports two wide, steel belts beneath the tread and helps contribute to precise and responsive handling. Two spirally-wound, nylon reinforcement plies improve high-speed durability and further promote the steering response expected from a track-capable tire.

Important Care and Usage Instructions: Important Care and Usage Instructions: The ADVAN A052 was developed using high-performance compounds which become brittle at low temperatures, and therefore should not be used in certain conditions. ADVAN A052 tires thus must be stored or used only at temperatures at or above 14°F (-10°C) to maintain performance characteristics and to avoid any damage to the tire or injury to persons or property.

Hankook Ventus S1 noble2 Reviews

Customers think the Hankook Ventus S1 noble2 delivers excellent dry traction (8-10 scores) and strong wet performance with reliable hydroplaning resistance (7-10), fitting its Ultra High Performance All-Season role. Winter traction shows mixed results (3-6 scores), with some drivers noting reduced confidence in snow and ice. Ride comfort earns consistent praise for smoothness and low noise (7-10). Treadwear raises concerns, with many ratings in the 1-5 range suggesting shorter lifespan expectations. While excelling in dry/wet handling and comfort, buyers prioritizing winter capability or long-term durability may want to weigh these trade-offs against the tire's strong all-season fundamentals.

...Fantastic in the dry, great in the wet, and good in deep snow as long as you have good tread life left...

This tire by far is the best all season tire I have ever had. I've tried Contintental DWS, and a Pirelli all season P6000 if I remember correctly. This tire always has traction in any condition. Fantastic in the dry, great in the wet, and good in deep snow as long as you have good tread life left. You will not be disappointed with this tire. it does everything very well, and it won't break the bank in the process. I was averaging about 35000 miles on a set as long as you rotate them every 7000 miles. Between me and my wife we have over 220,000 miles on these tires. The vehicles we have used them on are: 2008 Mazda 3 hatchback, and a 2016 Volkswagen GTI 4 door.

...They were pretty decent during wet conditions. Tires stayed planted to the road during hard cornering...

Bought these tires in early 2019. My car had two of them when I bought it a year prior. What impressed me (and convinced me to buy a full set) was that a chunk of sidewall came off from one of the two tires due to my now-wife curbing the car two weeks in and stayed that way for 8000 miles. That's one well built tire.
They actually performed pretty well for the price that I paid for them. They're not snow tires but they did fantastic in Reno winters. They were pretty decent during wet conditions. Tires stayed planted to the road during hard cornering. I found them to be relatively quiet, even at highway speeds. Would I buy again? Sure.

I drive 60 miles a day to and from work and these Hankook tires are quiet and comfortable will providing great dry traction levels...

I purchased my vehicle and the car came with a set of new Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 tires. These have been pleasant surprise and I've actually enjoyed these tires. I use them from spring to fall as I use a dedicated winter tire. I drive 60 miles a day to and from work and these Hankook tires are quiet and comfortable will providing great dry traction levels. I've never had an issue with hydroplaning in rainy conditions either. Where the Hankook tires really struggle are the time between winter in spring when unexpected snow falls. In straight line driving these tires will do ok in winter conditions, but as you add steering angle the tires will lose traction without warning. I believe this tire would be an excellent choice for someone that doesn't see ice/snow, but would not work well for someone that needs 4 season performance.

I've had these tires on my car since November. Through this past few months they have been great. I would recommend these to anyone. Wet/snow traction is better then I expected. Dry traction is a little better than I expected. These are harder to get to break loose under hard cornering then I expected. My car is front wheel drive with mods so dry traction issues are to be expected.

...Ride quality is poor (rating: 4) as you'll feel every little bump in the road. On the plus side, noise is good (rating: 6), although it gets worse as the tires wear...

I don't know why so many people are rating these tires so high. I bought a 2017 GTI that had a new set of these on it and I've put 30,000 miles on them since. Let's start with the good.

Dry traction is rather good (rating: 7). However, they're not terribly stable. They have a tendency to break rather suddenly at the limit, hence the corner stability is closer to average (rating: 6). The steering response is excellent (rating: 8). The car really goes where you point it as soon as you move the wheel. Now let's get to the bad.

Wet traction is absolutely terrible (rating: 3). If the slightest amount of water is on the ground, the tires will easily slip. On a tight, wet turn you will start to slide outward if you don't carefully check your cornering speed. Expect this to get exponentially worse as the tires wear. I've had cheap, no-frills all-season tires (with loads more sidewall) that could handle wet turns better than these. Hydroplaning resistance is also terrible (rating: 3). I have driven through Michigan slush at 80 mph while changing lanes with more confidence than driving on a wet highway at 60 mph with these tires. The car just wants to go everywhere. This reason alone is enough to make me recommend against these tires.

Ride quality is poor (rating: 4) as you'll feel every little bump in the road. On the plus side, noise is good (rating: 6), although it gets worse as the tires wear. Wear is also terrible (rating: 3) and I have no idea how these tires got a 500 rating. The front tires wear down several times faster than the rears, and the tread is completely gone after 30k miles, which would be fine if it weren't for the fact that the vast majority of mileage put on these has been nothing but highway cruising (my commute is 84 miles per day, all highway). They are quite hard once worn.

I highly recommend AGAINST buying these tires, as you can get max performance summer tires with better wet traction.

...Worst though, was driving the car in any winter weather, as these tires had little traction in light snow. While I understand these are performance all-season tires, I still expect some drivability in inclement weather from a brand-new tire...

I expected a performance-oriented tire on a new Tesla, and I expected Continental or Michelin branded tires. However, Tesla mounted these Hankook Ventus tires from the factory. In dry weather, the tires were okay -- average grip, average stability -- but were loud and rough. The car itself is a bit loud; with no engine noise and some wind buffeting, tire noise is more prevalent. The exaggerated hum from these tires was irritating. The ride comfort was pretty poor. Bumps were felt even on the smoothest pavement. The car is a performance vehicle, so a stiff ride is expected, but these tires could transmit an impact from a piece of gravel. In wet, the tires were barely adequate, and didn't inspire much confidence on the road. Hydroplaning would have been a concern in another few thousand miles. Worst though, was driving the car in any winter weather, as these tires had little traction in light snow. While I understand these are performance all-season tires, I still expect some drivability in inclement weather from a brand-new tire. Lastly, based on the wear noted at 5000 miles, it's unlikely these tires would have safely lasted beyond 15,000 miles. If you're considering these tires as a replacement set, please look elsewhere for better quality and comfort.

16,000 miles and I'm really close to reaching the wear indicators. They seemed to be good tires but the tread wear is atrocious. I drive mostly blacktop 2 lane roads, city and highway very gently. With winter coming, it's time for them to go. I rarely drive in snow so I don't really have any opinion as to their traction in ice or snow.

If they weren't original equipment on my Hyundai Palisade, I would never have owned them and would never purchase them knowing the sub par treadwear they have.
