Most customers give the Ventus V12 evo2 strong wet traction scores (7-10), praising its grip and hydroplaning resistance. Some lower ratings suggest variability in extreme conditions.

...Cornering on wet, rainy asphalt is fantastic as well as very low tire-to-road noise make these tires definitely be a set that I'll buy again!
Being an Uber/Lyft driver for 3 years I can attest that these are great tires. I drive professionally, but usually faster than most so there's always a great demand on tire performance. Recently, after re-balancing and alignment I discovered that the tires had less than 50% wear on them. After 35,000 harsh mileage I was very pleased with the condition of tread on these babies. Have to add the fact that I do rotate every 5,000 and check air pressure often. Cornering on wet, rainy asphalt is fantastic as well as very low tire-to-road noise level make these tires definitely be a set that I'll buy again!

These tires replaced the firestone fire hawk A/S that came factory that only lasted 22000mls. I only drive the car from spring to fall so I only needed 3 season tires. these tires are amazingly quiet and responsive. recently I got caught in a heavy downpour on the interstate and could barely see the car in front of me when traffic suddenly went from 70mph to a crawl, the tires stuck like glue, no hydroplaning at all. and I have a better ride than I did with the Firestones, had the tires sent to my local Dodge dealer for installation best tire have ever owned. just hope they wear better than the Firestones.

...The evo2 is more than adequate, though not perfect, in very wet conditions...
Previously owned the Hankook Ventus V12 evo (the first version), which had a very short lifespan. These are a great improvement. Very grippy in the corners at high speeds, as well as great dry traction. Not a very noisy tire, either.
The evo2 is more than adequate, though not perfect, in very wet conditions. Living in the northeast, I have had to drive the car a few times in very cold conditions with some snow. As stated in the description, this tire is NOT designed for that (it certainly shows).
As an extra, the tread pattern is very aggressive looking. Great tire, especially considering the relatively low price.

...They have been everything I expected: great rain tire, fabulous traction and cornering dry, and very, very quiet...
I bought my car with 88,000 miles on it. It had a set of Pirelli's on it and was harsh riding and noisy. I researched replacement tires and decided on a new set of Hankook Ventus tires. They have been everything I expected: great rain tire, fabulous traction and cornering dry, and very, very quiet. They wear as expected; I had a bit of a front end-alignment problem so I have premature wear on the inside edge of the right front tire. If not for this, these tires would last me for another 5-10,000 miles, but I will replace them now with another new set of Hankook's.
I highly recommend this tire for the Jaguar XK or XK8 coupes and convertibles.

...These tires were relatively quiet, wore well over time, had very decent dry traction and had somewhat decent wet traction as well. Granted, on the autocross track, a dedicated set of RE71R's would be ideal, but they did pretty darn well given the type of tire they are...
I bought these tires in February 2016 to go on my 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost with the Performance Package. I'm running the GT Performance Package wheels which are 19x9 front, 19x9.5 rear, so I went with the factory spec sizing of 255/40 & 275/40, respectively. To give you an idea of the kind of driving I do - it's majority highway and some city. However, I frequent some fun backroads on a regular basis and attend an autocross event every 1-2 months on these tires as well. So, this "Max Performance Summer" tire had to be an all-in-one for me.
And it did a pretty darn good job of that given the price point. They didn't grip as well as the factory Pirelli P-Zeros, but many roll through those tires in less than 10k miles. However, given the price point and the fact I knew I'd be putting some miles on these during the warm months, it seemed like a good choice. After about 20k miles, the fronts are down to about 4/32" and the rears are 2/32", if not less. Being a Mustang, it's expected that the rears will wear first, but with a staggered setup and directional tires, rotating isn't possible. Gotta pay to play, I guess.
These tires were relatively quiet, wore well over time, had very decent dry traction and had somewhat decent wet traction as well. Granted, on the autocross track, a dedicated set of RE71R's would be ideal, but they did pretty darn well given the type of tire they are. However, I'm not quite sure I'd be getting these tires again. It's all about the time of year that you buy these tires and if you wait until Nov-Dec to buy next year's summer tires, there are plenty of promotions out there to take advantage of - so I'm going to give the Continental ExtremeContact DW a shot for next year while upsizing the rear to 285/35 and see how it fairs. After reading many reviews and forum posts along with talking to a few autocross friends, I'm thinking the DW will be slightly better at dry traction but measurably better with wet traction.

...Much more comfortable. It's almost like a different car. Much improved ride.
Removed worn out Goodyear F1 EMT. Car always rode very harsh, since new. With these new tires if much more comfortable. It's almost like a different car. Much improved ride. Car still handles as well if not better than with the factory Goodyears. The Goodyears were run flats which I think might have contributed to the harsh ride, these are not. If you have a Z06 and need tires, I think you'll appreciate these, and the price is right. What a bargain !

These are good summertime tires. Great dry weather traction and cornering ability. Good in the wet, no hydroplaning of note unless the water depth and speed are both high. Not as great as some other brands, but the compromise is that you can get these at a great price point. This when compared to the other brands and they are not 'R' for the track, they look pretty good.

...have 28000 on them now, the treads look like new...
These tires are the best I've had so far on this car. have about 28000 on them now, the treads look like new. I've driven these tires on hard winding Smokie Mount. roads at speeds that I may have exceeded posted.... but..there was minimal normal slip in the grip of tires as I was pushing them a little harder at the time. Overall, These tires work best on my 2017 SS 2 Camaro Convertable. Tire Rack has been giving me greet deals and upgrades for my Auto for a long while. If you need more info contact them. Thanks. Ray.

Installing my 4th set soon. This last set seemed to wear a little less than previous sets. I attribute this to heating them up at an autocross event when they were brand new. Dry grip is great. Lateral Gs in the autocross event were 1.09 left and 1.10 right. These lateral G readings surpass the manufacturers published specs. I'd say they are the best performer for the price!

These tires have taken me from Novice to Advanced and I could not be happier. I have 5 HPDE's (11 Track Days),all at Watkins Glen International, on these tires. I can still get another 3-5 schools (yes 6 to 10 more track days!) out of these tires, but will make these my wet weather weather tires. The savings using these tires will easily allow you to sign up for an extra track event or two!! Do the math!!
My car is a lowered stock E36 (non-M) on Bilsteins B6 shocks and Eibach Proline Sport Springs, and Hawk DTC-60 Pads. Last two track days were on H&R Race Springs. Last school was the first time I found (and exceeded) the traction limits of the tire.
These tires are great for learning the craft, as they "talk" to you and they squeal linearly as they approach the traction limits. I may have only overheated them a couple of times, but a lap at 80% brings them right back. I used these tires from 80 degrees in August, to 35 degrees in April, while it was snowing and hailing on the track. They allowed me to continue working on my lines and get a lot of wet weather track time while the folks with all the 200 and below Treadwear Rating tires had to pack it in.
I will buy another set when these wear out in another 2 years.
