Michelin CrossClimate SUVThe CrossClimate SUV is Michelin's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire originally developed for Original Equipment use on the Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS (non-US market). The CrossClimate SUV is an all-weather tire that meets industry severe snow service requirements for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol and is designed to be a one-tire solution for drivers in environments that experience all four seasons, but don't receive sufficient snowfall to require a dedicated winter tire.

The CrossClimate SUV features an all-season compound molded into a highly directional tread pattern with nearly solid transverse ribs for handling stability and dry traction. Wide lateral grooves and open shoulders provide a direct path to evacuate water from beneath the contact patch for hydroplaning resistance, while the bevel-edged tread blocks provide grip on damp surfaces. 3D self-locking sipes create additional biting edges for foul-weather traction, and Emerging grooves in the shoulder help retain confident winter traction as the tire wears. The biting edges combined with the specialized compound deliver the traction needed to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol (3PMSF).

The internal construction of the CrossClimate SUV consists of a single-ply polyester casing supporting two steel belts. A polyamide reinforcement aids in handling performance and provides high-speed durability.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...Michelins are decent in wet weather, but can't beat the double center groove on the Hankooks. When you combine the performance, wet or dry, and the miles these provide, it's a no brainer.

I just ordered another set to replace the current ones. By far the best tire I've had on multiple performance vehicles. Pirelli, Falken, and Goodyear just don't last. Michelins are decent in wet weather, but can't beat the double center groove on the Hankooks. When you combine the performance, wet or dry, and the miles these provide, it's a no brainer.

...Superior grip is great on theese tires and if that?s what you care about, get them, however the tires do not even come close to the performance needed to buy again...

Great for front tires but no good for back tires, when I accelerated hard, if they’re on the back, the sidewalls bend giving you a sideways start, and if you go around a corner, let’s say getting off the highway, really hard, the tire sidewall will roll leaving you in a predicament where the car’s handling becomes dangerous. Superior grip is great on theese tires and if that’s what you care about, get them, however the tires do not even come close to the performance needed to buy again. I’ll be going back to Michelin pilot sports 4S summer or all season, as those tires allow for maximum spirited driving and no awkward bending or rolling at max acceleration or g-force turns.

With a treadwear of 320, these things are hard as rocks. I do like them for the highway/city driving that I do, since they show little wear at 6000 miles. I think they might last forever, if you want longer mileage...

With a treadwear of 320, these things are hard as rocks. I do like them for the highway/city driving that I do, since they show little wear at 6000 miles. I think they might last forever, if you want longer mileage. I've used them a few times in autocross, and they don't hold on as well as the Michelin Sport Cup guys, but the price is great for what they are. I consider them a good performance tire at a great price, and will likely put another set on my Porsche Carrera S, if these ever wear out.
