The Majesty 9 Solus TA91 is Kumho's Grand Touring All-Season tire designed for the drivers of sedans, crossovers, and minivans who want a combination of smooth refinement and driving pleasure. The Majesty 9 Solus TA91 is engineered with a focus on providing a quiet and luxurious experience in addition to confident grip and responsive handling in dry, wet, and wintry conditions, even in light snow.
A silica-reinforced, all-season compound is molded into the Majesty 9 Solus TA91's asymmetric tread pattern. The outboard section of the tread features less void area and stiffer blocks to deliver lateral stability and cornering traction, while the inboard elements are focused on wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. Chamfered block edges are designed for sound attenuation, and the pitch and orientation of the blocks help reduce perceptible airborne noise. Four wide, circumferential grooves work with high-angle and lateral notches to evacuate standing water from the footprint for hydroplaning resistance. Sipes in the pattern and the all-season compound help provide traction in slippery conditions, including light snow and ice.
The internal construction of the Majesty 9 Solus TA91 consists of a two-ply, polyester casing that helps provide comfort and durability, and the asymmetric steel belts are reinforced by spirally-wound nylon to enhance handling and high-speed capability.

Ratings highlight excellence in the Kumho Majesty 9 Solus TA91's comfort, with many customers praising its smooth, quiet ride (scores 8-10). Treadwear receives strong praise, with multiple reports of impressive tread life for a grand touring tire. Winter traction earns positive marks overall, though some note reduced confidence on ice compared to snow. Wet performance shines with consistent 8-10 ratings for hydroplaning resistance and wet grip. Dry traction stands out as a top strength, described as responsive and secure across varied driving conditions. While most drivers report year-round capability fitting the all-season designation, a few mention wanting slightly better ice performance for harsh winter climates.

...These tires give me the confidence to maneuver around all the slowpokes and inattentive drivers out there, even in wet conditions...
Very happy with these tires, I feel like they perform better than the factory equipped tires for my vehicle. I push my little Scion a bit harder than most (PSA: even if you are going above the speed limit in the passing lane, you are legally supposed to yield to faster traffic coming up behind you!) These tires give me the confidence to maneuver around all the slowpokes and inattentive drivers out there, even in wet conditions. Learn how to drive properly first, then get these tires if you want to have a better experience on the road.

...Wet and dry grip levels exceed all of my expectations...
Didn't have much expectations but the longevity has very much impressed me. 40k miles on the rears for a big and heavy RWD V8 is crazy good treadwear. Performance is as expected from a grand touring tire. Nothing sporty but does the job. NVH is very low, that's what this tire is designed for. Definitely would buy again.

...The Wet traction has been excellent as well. Haven't experienced any hydroplaining even in torrential downpours here in Florida...
Bought these Kumho Majesty 9 Solus TS91 in 225/45R18 for a set of 18x8+40 Enkei Wheels for my 2011 Camry 2.5 SE (which had 223k miles and I'm second owner). I read a bunch of reviews from Tirerack and other tire distributors, as well as tirerack having a closeout deal on all 4.
I'm glad I made the purchase! I live in Florida and drive 60 miles round trip a day with a mix of hwy/city.
These tires are exceptionally quiet and very comfortable. The dry traction is very good for an all season tire even in a Camry with an open differential doing some 0-60 pulls. Its not a rocketship obviously, but I was impressed with the overall dry traction and responsive steering feel considering the camry is open differential (1 tire fire).
The Wet traction has been excellent as well. Haven't experienced any hydroplaining ( as other reviewers have stated) even in torrential downpours here in Florida.
No experience with these in snow/ICE. But, in colder weather low 30s*F, the tire traction was great and inspired confidence at any speed.
I had the tires mounted and balanced off vehicle, and have NOT experienced any vibrations at sustained speeds of 80-90mph. The ride is smooth even with worn out stock suspension.
Toyota states 32psi but I have found the ride comfort and overall response with 34-35psi.
I've put nearly 10k miles on these Kumhos without any abnormalities in wear or ride comfort.
For the price, (if you can still find these) they are totally worth the money if you're looking for a great overall all-season tire with near 5 star rating, coupled with great comfort and excellent noise levels and a 560 Treadwear rating.
Would definitely purchase again, and highly recommend for anyone looking for a budget All Season tire that offers same if not better qualities of a higher tier/price brand tire.
CON: literally just aesthetic based, less is more with sidewall model description. Longest tire model name I've ever owned.

Customers rate winter traction highly with many 8s and 9s, praising confident grip in light snow. While most scores are 7-10, some note lower ice performance, but it remains solid for all-season use.

Great tire, I live in Western WA and we just had a mix of rain snow and ice over the past week. these tires griped in all 3 just better than some tires grip dry. They do have some extra road noise but that is to be expected on a lower profile tire.

...Good wet, great dry and average light snow traction, but that's not what they are made for, but with awd will not leave you stranded in the ditch in winter...
Pretty good tires for the price. Good wet, great dry and average light snow traction, but that's not what they are made for, but with awd will not leave you stranded in the ditch in winter. Noise level is pretty decent compare to the stock tires. Definitely recommend these if you don't drive much in snow or have separate set of winter tires.

...Other than that it is quiet, has very good dry and wet road handling and stops the Seltos from 60 to 0 in 120' on dry pavement...
Vehicle is a sub compact SUV 2021 Kia Seltos SX AWD 1.6L 4cyl Turbo. The tire is affordable and looks above its class.
The tire gives the Kia Seltos a good comfortable sure footed ride with one exception is when going fast around a exit ramp that has those large multiple expansion joints and it gets a little uneasy or jittery but still controllable. Other than that it is quiet, has very good dry and wet road handling and stops the the Seltos from 60 to 0 in 120' on dry pavement.
It is not a performance tire but a very good touring / Highway All-Season tire. I wish I could give you some feedback about its snow performance but got the tires just after the last snow of the year here in Ohio. The tire is manufactured in Korea.

...The new ones turned the car into a different driving experience, no longer have to worry about sliding around corners!
Car had these on them, really needed replacing because they were done for it. The new ones turned the car into a different driving experience, no longer have to worry about sliding around corners!
...They have great dry and wet traction and I have enjoyed having these on my car.
I love my car. 178000 miles. But it eats tires. I’ve had my car for 10 years. I’m on the seventh set of tires before buying the Khumo. The most mileage I ever got out of a set of tires was 23,000 miles, with the Khumo Majesty I have gotten 40,000 miles. Very very good for my car. They ride very comfortably. They have great dry and wet traction and I have enjoyed having these on my car.

...extremely low noise and very high comfort that gives a refined but still composed ride...
The TA91s are excellent Grand Touring tires and an exceptional value. Stand out characteristics are extremely low noise and very high comfort that gives a refined but still composed ride. I cannot speak to wet or snow, but in dry conditions, highway driving is confident and stable, and city driving is controlled and relaxed. Steering is easy and handling is responsive.
My previous tires were the Continental ExtremeContact DW summer tires. Due to compound and tread pattern differences, the TA91s do not have the same level of raw grip and precise steering as a summer tire. If you prioritize taut and sporty, you should probably get UHP category tires instead. However, if you want good performance, great value and exceptionally low NVH, these tires would be perfect.
I run them 1-2 psi above door jamb sticker; something anyone can experiment with to taste.

...I have to say that I am very pleased and impressed on how quiet and comfortable these tires ride, they totally changed how my Mercedes' rides very smooth and quiet...
So far I’ve driven about 5k miles on these tires, and I have to say that I am very pleased and impressed on how quiet and comfortable these tires ride, they totally changed how my Mercedes’ rides very smooth and quiet. For the price I will most likely buy again and recommend to anyone. They also perform well on the wet, haven’t had them ion the snow yet. They seem to be wearing evenly and not too fast but only had them for 5k miles. I do noticed if the car sits they get flat spotted but once you get on the road and up to temperature they get quiet and smooth. I was going to buy Michelins but I decided to give these a try based on the reviews and of course the price, and I have to say I’m happy with my purchase.

...These are the most even wearing and stable (maintaining roundness) tires I have ever owned. I haven't even had to rotate or spin balance them yet, after 20,000 miles and I drive them harder than most people... They will certainly last 40k miles or more.
A very good compromise on traction vs wear. These are the most even wearing and stable (maintaining roundness) tires iIhave ever owned. I haven't even had to rotate or spin balance them yet, after 20,000 miles and I drive them harder than most people. I am very pleased with them. They are certainly not as grippy as softer compound tires, but still very good and not very noisy (squeal or howl) when pushed. I hope they are still available when I need new tires. They will certainly last 40k miles or more.
