The Winter Snowcontrol Serie 3 Run Flat is Pirelli's Performance Winter / Snow run-flat tire designed for coupes and sedans to provide a high level of security on cold, dry, wet and wintry surfaces. Winter Snowcontrol Serie 3 Run Flat tires feature Pirelli's Self-Supporting Run Flat Technology that enhances safety and convenience by providing temporary extended mobility in the event a puncture allows complete loss of air pressure. Pirelli's Self-Supporting Run Flat Technology allows tires to literally "run flat" for up to 50 miles at 50 mph (80 km at 80 km/h) unless otherwise specified by the vehicle manufacturer for Original Equipment tires. The Pirelli Ecoimpact* icons on the sidewalls of Winter Snowcontrol Serie 3 Run Flat tires highlight their contribution to the environment with regards to energy efficiency, clean air and low noise.

The Winter Snowcontrol Serie 3 Run Flat uses a second-generation silica-enhanced winter tread compound that increases rubber flexibility in cold temperatures. This compound is molded into a directional tread design blending cold weather traction and handling. Rounded shoulder blocks and interlocking center blocks featuring Pirelli's Interactive Brickwork Siping where the sipes create a brickwork pattern increase both lateral and longitudinal stability while providing more biting edges to increase snow traction, ride comfort and noise quality. Two wide circumferential channels and numerous lateral grooves help channel water and slush to the sides to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped polyamide that enhances thermal stability and makes the tires less sensitive to changes in road and air temperatures.

Snow Wear Indicators (SWI) in the tread design identify when the remaining tread depth begins to deliver diminishing snow performance (in addition to the bottom-of-the-groove treadwear bars that indicate the tire is completely worn out at 2/32" of remaining tread depth). In the case of the Winter Snowcontrol Serie 3 Run Flat, notches of selected center rib blocks wear smooth when approximately 5/32" of tread depth remains.

Pirelli's extended mobility solution is made possible by their MIRS computer-controlled robotized manufacturing system, a production process that assures consistency in the application of the additional sidewall reinforcements that provide the self-supporting run-flat capability.

Winter Snowcontrol Serie 3 Run Flat winter / snow tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Install Pirelli Winter Snowcontrol Serie 3 Run Flat tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of the Winter Snowcontrol Serie 3 Run Flat tires, Pirelli recommends using them only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

*Specific sizes featuring low rolling resistance technology are identified with Pirelli's Ecoimpact designation on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

Customer surveys indicate the Michelin Energy Saver A/S excels in treadwear, with many customers praising its long-lasting performance and durability. Ride comfort receives strong praise for a quiet, smooth experience across various road conditions. However, winter traction shows mixed results, with lower scores (often 4-6) highlighting reduced confidence in icy or deep snow conditions. Wet traction earns consistent positive feedback (7-9 range) for reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance. ...Driving hard, I have yet to have the car under-steer at speeds in curves 25 - 35 over psl...

These were OEM on '12 Camry hybrid. I currently have 55K on the tires and 5/32 tread remains. Mileage is consistently 39 highway and low 40's in town. They have gotten a little noisier with more miles but still have a good ride. Driving hard, I have yet to have the car under-steer at speeds in curves 25 - 35 over psl. If I keep the car, going to get another set.

...The handling was amazing on these tires and the ride was comfortable and quiet...

These tires came standard on my 2001 Honda Accord. I LOVED THEM!!!!! These were some of the best tires I have ever owned. I swaped them out after 60,000 miles because the tires were getting up there in age, but they definately had a lot of life left in them. The handling was amazing on these tires and the ride was comfortable and quiet. These are an excellent tires. I highly recommend them.

In my experience, the Energy Saver A/S is the smoothest, quietest and most fuel efficient tire available for a family sedan like a Camry LE. These tires somehow absorb minor road so well that you get a "gliding on a cloud" type feeling. And these tires have such low rolling resistance that you barely need to touch the gas pedal to maintain freeway speeds. Tread life is excellent too if tires are front cross rotated (on a FWD car) every 5,000 miles.

I have nearly 57000 miles on the tires and they will easily make 60,000 before needing to be replaced... I'm not sure how you can beat getting 60,000 miles out of a quiet tire with no traction issues...

I have a 2013 Fusion Hybrid with the OEM Michelins. I have nearly 57000 miles on the tires and they will easily make 60,000 before needing to be replaced. I live in northern Utah, so I've driven in snow and had no trouble. These tires have been fantastic. I'm not sure how you can beat getting 60,000 miles out of a quiet tire with no traction issues. No, I don't race this car, or drive aggressively, it's a hybrid with a wimpy 2 liter motor. For what the car is, and what the tires are expected to do, I can't be happier with these tires.

...After 6 years of combined city/highway driving I plan to replace them this fall for better winter traction... Pleased with the tread wear mileage which is in keeping with the 480 rating and my expectations.

These Michelin "ENERGY Saver"are OEM tires on 2010 Fusion SEL current tread depth is 4 - 5/32 at 51,200 miles. After 6 years of combined city/highway driving I plan to replace them this fall for better winter traction. Extremely well pleased how the car and tires handle in snow, very confident driving in these circumstances. General all weather use find the tires quiet and the car handles competently under all conditions. Pleased with the tread wear mileage which is in keeping with the 480 rating and my expectations.

Equipped stock in 2018 Silverado 3500HD dually. Not very impressive to look at but quiet ride. Handles rated loads with ease and tread wears excellent with an 8000 lb truck on top. I rotate according to OE recommendation. Freeway driving at 80 MPH is quiet, smooth, and predictable.

Recently had to buy a single tire to replace a damaged front tire.

...Snow traction is very bad in deep snow. I don't drive this car in snow any more.

Tires go flat quickly if low. No time to pull over before tire is ruined. Happened twice. Never experienced that before on any other brand. Could be because it's such a low profile tire. Snow traction is very bad in deep snow. I don't drive this car in snow any more.

This should be classified as a 3-season tire, that's how bad it is in light snow/ice. We live at the top of a moderate hill, and the car simply refuses to go up the hil and just sits and spins. These are the worst tires I've ever had in the snow, including speed rated BFG Comp T/A VR4's I had on an old Mustang GT. Other than that, it's a good tire on dry roads, and handles well in wet conditions as well. So if you live in the Deep South, it may be a nice tire. For those of us that live in the mountains and need something that will perform in a few light snow and ice storms a year, it is unacceptable.

...Snow is OK starting off straight, but turning is such an adventure, I'm seriously considering not taking the car out in slush, snow or ice...

Standard equipment on the C-MAX, this tire has broadly differing reviews by different car models. I seem to be one of those who has no problem on dry roads, but wet or snow or ice is a disaster. Rain decreases grip 20% or more around curves and stopping distance. Snow is OK starting off straight, but turning is such an adventure, I'm seriously considering not taking the car out in slush, snow or ice. Could it be the added battery weight in the back of the C-Max Energi causing lack of front-wheel drive grip? I'll only find out after I replace these tires. Otherwise I'm happy with the car
