The P Zero Trofeo (Italian for Trophy) R is Pirelli's Streetable Track & Competition tire developed for the Chevrolet Camaro Z28. Based on over 100 years of Pirelli racing experience, the P Zero Trofeo R is designed as a track-focused, dual-purpose tire that provides the ability to win trophies on-track, as well as be driven on the road to and from the track. P Zero Trofeo R tires are not intended to be driven at high speeds in wet conditions where there is the risk of hydroplaning in standing water, nor in near- or below freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

P Zero Trofeo R tires employ brand new HAOF (highly aromatic oil free) compounds and a redesigned asymmetric tread pattern. The outboard area ensures the required rigidity to cope with the stresses during cornering, typical of racetrack driving. The solid shoulder - similar to a slick but more rigid - maximize lateral grip when cornering at very high speed and quickly changing trajectory on the track. This special mix of shape/functionality has enabled the achievement of very consistent performance. The inboard area's wide central ribs ensure precise trajectories and control the stress associated with accelerating and braking on the track. The transversal grooves with special pattern provide constant traction and assist braking. The wide circumferential grooves enable water drainage to promote traction in damp conditions. Its internal structure features an advanced belt design and undertread materials to optimize footprint pressure and increase stability while restricting tire growth at high speed from centrifugal forces. Bead geometry and materials improve fit between the tire and rim to increase bead and sidewall stability.

Beginning with a molded tread depth of 6/32", P Zero Trofeo R tires will not require shaving for track use, however they will benefit from heat cycling before competition to enhance wear and promote more consistent performance.

Warning: P Zero Trofeo R radials meet DOT requirements, however they are not recommended for driving in wet conditions where standing water is present and there is the risk of hydroplaning; drivers should drive cautiously at reduced speeds if they encounter these conditions. This is especially true of shaved or worn tires. And like other Streetable Track & Competition tires, these tires are not intended to be stored, serviced nor driven in near- or below freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Have had these tires on VW Atlas for 2 years now and very happy. No complaints with them whatsoever. Have experienced some snowstorms in them having been through two Toronto winters - drove carefully but had no issues. Perform well in heat of summer and below freezing. Have lots of tread left. Done city driving and highways both. Michelin knows what theyre doing in my opinion - whether its their Pilot Sport 4s or the Premier LTX - have full faith and satisfaction in their tires and these are no exception.

Good tires, not the least expensive, and I'm replacing them a touch earlier than expected. That said, solid performer on the snow and ice. But I'm going to try a set of Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II next.

I have just driven these tires on the local mountain with 6 inches of snow. These tires are great! These tires did not break traction and had no problems driving through the snow. These tires have no troubles in the rain. They drive like the roads are dry. Dry roads are the best with these. Even though I drive a minivan but these tires can take corners. I have driven many sharp and fast corners and I am still amazed that it has so much grip! No tire squeal at all but don't dare to push it to the limit (minivan). The only downside about these tires are the tread wear. It wears a little more than I like but that could be the way I drive as well.

I am very impressed with the dry traction, wet traction, and cornering ability...

I really love this tire. It came on the truck in the oem 265/65/17 and it never got stuck in any weather. Now I'm using it with a 22-inch size and although the vehicle doesn't see much snow I have full confidence that the tire will rise to that occasion. In every way it exceeds oem LTX. I am very impressed with the dry traction, wet traction, and cornering ability. They did get some duty on water logged muddy grass with a trailer on the tow-hitch. The tires performed flawless and moved the vehicle without any slip.

...The Edge handles like a much smaller vehicle now, my wife even noticed the difference... They are extremely quiet, and work great in the wet or dry...

These things are amazing. So much better than the Pirelli Scorpions that came OE on the Edge. I did up the width by 20mm, diameter stayed the same, but they haven't hydroplaned like the OE tire would in heavy rain. The Edge handles like a much smaller vehicle now, my wife even noticed the difference. I haven't noticed any wear as of yet, and our mileage has gone up a little over 1 mpg on average on frequent trips to S.F. Bay to L.A. and back. They are extremely quiet, and work great in the wet or dry. I'm actually looking forward to our next big storm. As long as I have a crossover vehicle like the Edge, it will have these tires on it.

...These tires replaced the OEM Continental Pro Contacts on my Ford Escape and boy what a difference, much quieter, much smoother and far better handling in the rain as well as dry conditions...

Driven over 3000 miles on these tires and wanted to wait until I had a good chance to try them out in snow and ice before reviewing. Well today I had to drive over 100 miles in a winter snow storm and I was really impressed with the traction and handling. The roads were totally covered and I had no problems. These tires replaced the OEM Continental Pro Contacts on my Ford Escape and boy what a difference, much quieter, much smoother and far better handling in the rain as well as dry conditions. I truly recommend this tire especially for anyone with the 19 inch tires on the Escape as there is not much out there in the 235/45/19 to choose from.

...I recently replaced the tires with Michelin Premier LTX and boy am I happy I did that. The ride quality has significantly improved without compromising traction on dry or wet road... The car that I continuously used to think of selling has become my favorite to drive...

The original tires on my 2008 BMW-X3 with M-sport suspension were Michelin Pilot HX MxM4. I have been driving the car for the past 5 years and hated every minute of its ride. Not only the smallest bumps but also the wave on the road used to transfer to my body. It was very annoying. I preferred the ride of my Z4 with sport package to this car! I recently replaced the tires with Michelin Premier LTX and boy am I happy I did that. The ride quality has significantly improved without compromising traction on dry or wet road (I haven't tested traction on snow yet). The car that I continuously used to think of selling has become my favorite to drive. I used to think that it was the M-sport suspension that made the ride so miserable and got multiple quotes for replacing them with regular suspension from $3500 to $8000. But now, thanks to these new tires no need to do that.
I thank Tirerack.com reviews that helped me choose these tires.

...They run quiet, they are GREAT on rainy highways at speed, and they're nice on dry pavement...

I bought these based on TireRack reviews. We replaced a set of Yoko's we really liked. These are better. These might be the best tires I've ever purchased. They run quiet, they are GREAT on rainy highways at speed, and they're nice on dry pavement. I haven't driven off road with these and we haven't encountered snow yet, but so far so great. I am buying a second set for my other car. Massive wet traction upgrade and I expect same in snow/ice.

...The tires crawl over the road, absorbing the typical slap of tar cracks and expansion joints with ease but no/low noise. The noise level at highway speeds is so low it's also amazing...

This an initial impression review as I just put the LTX's on a few days ago. The tires I replaced were Bridgestone Dueler HP, which are also great tires. They only had 20k miles and were replaced because I simply wanted to try the LTX's based upon their stellar reviews for high comfort, low noise and sticky wet/light snow traction. As a side note, I also sized-up and am happy to report that 235/60/18 fits fine on my Outback. The extra 1.2" of tread width and .6" of overall diameter really make a big difference in the stance of the car.

My initial impressions for comfort and noise are quite positive. The tires seem to crawl over the road, absorbing the typical slap of tar cracks and expansion joints with ease but no/low noise. The noise level at highway speeds is so low it's also amazing. I can't speak to the LTX's wet and snow traction and will update this review after we take a trip to Glacier and Yellowstone later this fall. Ditto on treadlife down the proverbial road. But so far so good, the LTX's have exceeded my expectations.

Treadwear shows mixed results with many scoring 9-10, but a concerning number of 0-5 ratings. Multiple customers report premature wear, needing replacement early, and dissatisfaction with tread life despite the tire's all-season design. Some noted rapid wear-down to the bars, falling short of expected mileage.

...They lasted only one year (30,000 miles)... Worst treadwear of any tire we've ever bought.

Bought these for our Toyota minivan. They lasted only one year( 30,000 miles). Michelin did not honor warranty because we'd only rotated the tires one time in the year. Ok, but even the rear tires (front wheel drive car) were worn below 2/32. Worst treadwear of any tire we've ever bought.
