Customers rate the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus highly for wet traction, with most scores between 8-10. High marks highlight excellent wet grip and hydroplaning resistance, delivering confident handling in rainy conditions. A few 7s suggest minor variability, but overall performance aligns well with its all-terrain design.

...The level of stability and grip in wet is great!
I tested some other SUV tires from reputable brands and none of the had the same level of performance.

...They are extremely quiet, and they have amazing wet traction...
I live in northern Ohio. I like having two sets of rims and tires for my Ford Explorer one for winter driving. I have about 120K miles on my car most of which have driven on Michelin Premier LTX tires which are quiet and great wet traction, but the tread life was poor. I went to click the reorder again they are no longer available. While I was driving from IL to OH on the Indiana turnpike I called Tire Rack for advice, and Charlie recommended the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3. He said they had them in stock and they fit me in to have them installed on my way home. Allowing to show up 10 minutes late for their last appointment. Frankly, I was nervous about my purchase because I was a big fan of the Michelin tires, I was taking off. Now I can honestly say I am even a bigger fan of these new Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 tires. If you ride quality is amazing. They are extremely quiet, and they have amazing wet traction. I can't help you with how they will do on the snow, because I will never use them during the winter season. This is my first purchase of Pirelli tires, and I must say I am impressed. Special thanks to Charlie from Tire Rack and the team doing all the tire testing to help me get the best tires to meet my needs.

...I can say, compared to the OEM Goodyear Grand Touring tires these are VERY comparable in ride quality, maybe a little louder but wet traction is 10x better...
I've only had these for just over 1,000 miles so take my review with a grain of salt. I can say, compared to the OEM Goodyear Grand Touring tires these are VERY comparable in ride quality, maybe a little louder but wet traction is 10x better. If I get half the miles on the warranty I'll be happy. I may revisit this in several months after winter driving, but I have a feeling I will still be pleased with them.

Customers praise the Pirelli Scorpion's winter traction, with most snow and deep snow scores hitting 9s and 10s. Ice traction sees strong 7-10 ratings, highlighting reliable grip in rugged conditions, though a few note occasional challenges on sheer ice. Overall, it delivers confident off-road winter performance.

I was on snow covered roads, feet of snow, and never once was I not confident about my vehicles performance with this tire. The tire is a quiet ride as well. I would highly recommend this tire.

...In in the snow they are excellent, much better performance and traction than I would have expected from an all-season tire...
These are probably the best tires I've ever had on any vehicle, period. They are very quiet, the handling is incredible, they grip the road like there nearly stuck to it. In the rain, they do sometimes slip a little, and sometimes the abs has to come to stop quickly. In the snow they are excellent, much better performance and traction than I would have expected from an all-season tire.
I've had to use the road hazard warranty for two of the tires that hit a curb and cut the sidewall. That's really a nice insurance to have.
I will definitely be purchasing another set of these tires when the time comes. I just hope Pirelli is still producing them.

I live in Minnesota and see plenty of snow and ice and I can crawl through over 12 inches of snow like it's nothing. Lateral control on ice has been nothing short of stunning...
I don't know what kind of secret sauce that Pirelli is using with these tires, but OH MY --- are these fantastic performers. I have replaced the factory tires on my last 4 vehicles and had previously enjoyed the Cooper CS5 Grand Touring, but when I got my Murano, I found that I could not get them in my new tire size. I did extensive research and came to the conclusion that the Pirelli was the tire for me. Instantly smoother and quieter than the admittedly decent factory Bridgestones. I just rolled over 30K and they still perform like new and you can barely tell there are any miles on them at all! I have been singing the praise of these tires since day 1 and continue to be pleasantly surprised with the balanced performance in ALL conditions. I live in Minnesota and see plenty of snow and ice and I can crawl through over 12 inches of snow like it's nothing. Lateral control on ice has been nothing short of stunning, and summer/dry conditions are smooth, quiet, and controlled. Cannot recommend enough.

Dry traction receives outstanding ratings, with most customers scoring 9s and 10s. The Scorpion All Terrain Plus excels in rugged off-road conditions, offering responsive handling and reliable grip. Some 7-8 scores still reflect strong dry performance for its intended all-terrain use.

...Dry traction is very good as well, but mushy on cornering.
So far so good. Very good wet traction and relatively quiet on the highway. Dry traction is very good as well, but a little mushy on cornering. Of course this may just me getting used to new tires with new tread that flexes when I corner. The tires I replaced only had 3/32” remaining and so little to no tread to flex when cornering .

These tires provide an excellent combination of quiet ride, firm handling, and the tread seems only about 25% worn after 9K miles. (Here in South Florida if a set of tires lasts more than 20K miles that is good). The car came with Michelin tires which were good, these are equal or better and cost 30% less. These are highly recommended for this car.

...During the first month of use, I have found the Pirellis to be significantly more quiet than the Goodyears, they seem to have at least equal grip in both wet and dry... The only area where the Pirelli tires give up anything to the Goodyears would MAYBE be in cornering stability...
Initial impressions of this tire are extremely positive. Previously I was on Goodyear Eagle Sport AS tires, which are classified as "ultra high performance all season". I was impressed with the Goodyear grip in general, and satisfied with pretty much everything about them. They are a faster wearing tire, though, which is why I went with the Pirelli scorpion AS plus 3 this time around. During the first month of use, I have found the Pirellis to be significantly more quiet than the Goodyears, they seem to have at least equal grip in both wet and dry, and they are definitely more efficient. The only area where the Pirelli tires give up anything to the Goodyears would MAYBE be in cornering stability. any difference is marginal, though. On the other hand, the difference in efficiency is NOT marginal. The Pirelli tires are getting at least 10% better MPG, and are actually so much quieter that I now experience wind noise at highway speeds more than any other aspect of the car. With limited miles on them, I can't speak to treadwear, but if these deliver the full 70k expressed by the warranty, and their performance doesn't degrade dramatically, I'll happily buy another set.

...Compared to previous tires, they are quieter and smoother, soaking up more of the bumps and cracks both in the city and on the highway...
Purchased these tires for non-winter use and am super happy with them. Compared to previous tires, they are quieter and smoother, soaking up more of the bumps and cracks both in the city and on the highway. These even performed impressively during a late spring snow storm, would be great for year round use if we didn't already have dedicated winter tires. A bonus I never knew existed on tires before, these have built-in wheel/rim protection, with the rubber of the tire sticking out a bit more than normal right where it contacts the out edge of the wheel/rim. This feature has saved me from curb rash on at least 3 occasions already.
Highly recommend this tire to anyone looking for a smooth and quiet ride on the highway, but also likes extra traction during acceleration and turning in all conditions, even in light and moderate snow.

I love these tires on my Equinox, very quite, and smoother ride compared to my last Michelin tires. I'm glad I did my research and saw great reviews on these tires and they even came with with a $120.00 rebate. I use to have to crank up my radio because my Michelin tires were so loud and I could still hear the loud tires through the loud music. I'm such a happy customer with my new tires and they feel like I'm riding on a cloud. I feel like I'm in a new Vehicle, and now my Equinox rides like I'm in a Cadillac, and my ears thank you!!

...With 53,000 miles on them they are still at 5/32... I am going to run these things 60k before I pull them...
I went to a 255/50/19 instead of a 255/45/19 as Tesla always undersizes their tires. With 53,000 miles on them they are still at 5/32. I drive mostly on chill as I have kids but I do ALOT of driving. They just started getting noisy around 50k. I am going to run these things 60k before I pull them. With EVs the largest maintenance cost is the tires. I will DEFINITELY be buying these again. I live in California and have no winter experience with them.

These replaced the OE Bridgestone Alenzas on a 2021 ID.4, which were down to the wear bars after 16k miles. I stayed with the stock non-square 255/50 rear, 235/55 front setup. The Scorpion tires are asymmetric, not directional, which means they can be rotated -- side-to-side only with the non-square setup -- for longevity.
Do not have many miles on them yet, but they are already a very noticeable upgrade in a few respects. Tread noise is much less than the Bridgestones at highway speeds. Steering is more responsive and the car feels more planted while cornering ... all normal highway driving, not "spirited."
Does seem like the range (miles/kWh) is reduced with the tires, but by less than 10%. Will have to put more miles on them to be sure. It is believable that they have a higher rolling resistance than the Bridgestones.
