The Scorpion All Terrain Plus is Pirelli's Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire developed for drivers of pickup trucks, crossovers, and SUVs who want a balanced blend of on-road civility with off-road capability. The Scorpion All Terrain Plus is designed with a focus on optimizing durability, traction and wear resistance, in addition to providing light snow traction sufficient to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Utilizing Pirelli's cut- and chip-resistant, New Generation tread compound, the Scorpion All Terrain Plus is molded into a symmetric, high-void pattern. This pattern is designed to provide smooth and quiet on-road operation along with aggressive looks and confident off-road traction. Deep grooves and independent tread blocks help provide the clawing action needed to find grip in loose terrain, and conical stone ejectors resist punctures by forcing small rocks from the tread. Wide lateral notches and open shoulders evacuate water from the contact patch to aid hydroplaning resistance and the advanced compound combines with multiple block edges and in-block sipes to provide sure-footed performance in slippery or snowy conditions.

The internal construction of the Scorpion All Terrain Plus consists of a polyester casing to combine durability with ride comfort. Two high-strength steel belts stabilize and support the footprint, and multiple nylon reinforcement plies increase durability and provide high-speed capability.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...The second thing was Wet Traction, the Pirellis were well above the Goodyear's in wet traction as well...

these Pirellis Scorpion's replaced the Factory Goodyear's and the first thing I noticed and hoped for was the road noise. The road noise was cut in half!
The second thing was Wet Traction, the Pirellis were well above the Goodyear's in wet traction as well. we have had two light snow falls since I had these installed and they are slightly better in the snow as well. I do feel a very slight loss of road feel. the tires are softer but I am ok with that. No regrets getting the Pirelli's

I finally got to drive in the snow and on ice , this is the finest tire I have ever had, Dry or wet it cant be beat. I will definitely be buying them again. They are very quiet at any speed, and a very soft ride.

...The grip in deep snow, 6+ inches unplowed over a mountain pass in CO, is unbelievable!...

Switched to a set of these after trying out the Geolander GO15 A/T tires. I was very pleased with those, but wanted a change. These are a more aggressive looking tire. The grip in deep snow, 6+ inches unplowed over a mountain pass in CO, is unbelievable! Very stable on dirt roads with this tire and the Outback's AWD. Seems to be wearing fine. Only 7000 miles in and towed a camper for a couple thousand of those miles. They still look like new.

The only negative is noise. Initially there was no noticeable noice on the roadway, but that changed after they were broken in. At around 45-50mph there is that unmistakable deafening (to me) hum. That said, I would still recommend these tires.

...I am very pleased with these tires, I drive daily in Toronto and off road on weekends, so far they are amazing, very quite on the road, amazing traction in Canadian snow, rain, and dry pavement...

As most reviews on this site I was also hesitant to purchase these tires because there's not much info on them... However, I did buy through Costco and got a $80 cash card... I am very pleased with these tires, I drive daily in Toronto and off road on weekends, so far they are amazing, very quite on the road, amazing traction in Canadian snow, rain, and dry pavement. I was debating the KO2 and was convinced they were a good fit until I read more about Pirelli Scorpion, KO2 are heavier and loud (apparently) and my 2014 FJ cruiser is already "Thirsty" so I wanted a tire that's aggressive looking, great in snow, wet pavement and quite but good on gas. I recommend these tires for sure, however, I don't know how they will be in year so until then I would say definitely consider these tires if you want an all terrain that's ideal in all conditions.

This is my second set of these tires for my truck. The experience has not disappointed, as I really liked the first set. They handle the Minnesota winter weather very well. If there is a negative, it would be the tread wear, but I would rather have the good snow/ice traction and sacrifice the longevity. I put on 45,000 miles on the first set and I would have driven them longer except that winter was setting in and the tread depth was marginal for snow use.

...Dry traction and wet on road excellent...

Very good tires. Slight noise on highway but not distracting by any means. Dry and wet on road traction excellent. Off road they are as good as BfGoodrich AT2. Snow traction has been impressive and very controllable if you do make them break loose a little. Hardly any wear so far. Sidewalls seem stiff for good steering response and handling but ride is not harsh. Had many sets of tires on this truck over twenty years. These are all around the best I have used.

...On dry roads the ride is surprisingly smooth and pretty quiet for the aggressiveness of the tire. Steering is quick and responsive...

I needed an All Terrain tire for my 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup. I routinely travel over a 1/2 mile on logging roads to get to my recreational property. Many times dealing with mud, drifting snow and washed out trails over a 1/2 mile off the paved road. After sliding backwards down a hill on my previous tires I knew it was time for an upgrade. I was set on purchasing a set of KO2's but when my trusted auto advisor had recommended to me the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires I looked into them. I was a little hesitent going forward with the Pirelli's due to the lack of ratings on Tire Rack but decided to go ahead with the purchase after learning of the milage warranty and how good they looked in person. The savings per tire was a big bonus! I have put over 1,500 winter miles on my Pirelli Scorpion Plus All Terrain tires and am completely happy with my purchase.
I have had the opportunity for city, highway, and off road driving in every condition since purchase. These tires have completely exceeded my expectations! On dry roads the ride is surprisingly smooth and pretty quiet for the aggressiveness of the tire. Steering is quick and responsive. during times of rain, I have had no issues with hydroplaning or loss of tire contact with the road. We have had A LOT of snow already in Western NY this fall. I've driven on snow and ice covered roads several times with these tires and even had to deal with driving with a foot of snow on the roads already and these tires have been amazing in the winter conditions!
I'm most happy with the all terrain performance aspect of these tires! I can now get back into my property with confidence! They have handled all the mud, snow and slick washed out country trails wonderfully! And they look awesome on my truck!! That hill I used to slide backwards trying to get up...I haven't had a problem with since my new Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires!

...For an all terrain to be as comfortable and quiet as they are, I don't think there is any better...

Bought these tires to replace worn all terrains I had on my Jeep. Three days after I put them on I drove 1600 miles from PA to GA and back. All I have to say is they are OUTSTANDING... For an all terrain to be as comfortable and quiet as they are, I don't think there is any better. I have put about 2500 miles on these tires and couldn't be happier. I bought these 11/2020.

Very quiet and comfortable for a somewhat aggressive tread. While driving on gravel roads these tires don't throw stones up blasting the bottom of the truck like other A/T tires I've owned. My normal commute is secondary mountain roads with tight curves and these tires hold the road well and provide good steering response (for an F150). Haven't driven in the rain enough to rate wet traction but I expect them to do well based on other's survey feedback

Love these tires. I feel like I am driving a different truck since I have installed these new tires and rims. The truck rides so much better. I can take turns at a much higher rate of speed, without the tires screaming at me to slow down. Now they say give me more I love it. I have not driven to many miles on them yet but I see no wear at all. I would definitely recommend these tires.

I just replaced these tires with the same exact tire after 60000+ miles put on them. Never had any issues and they were great on road and off road. Of course as they wore they did have noise but i never thought it was too bad. However after having the new ones installed I really forgot how quiet a ride these tires are. They do great in snow, I live in NE Ohio and even with the old set they still performed well. Towing boats is no problem either I have towed both my 17' duck hunting boat and my 19' fishing boat all over Ohio, Michigan and New York, tires performed excellent on all types of ramps including those steep ramps down on the Ohio River. Traction in all conditions was great! I don't have anything negative to say about this tire.

...I'm buying my second set of Pirelli's after 47,000 miles (just shy of the 50,000 tread warranty). I could probably run them to 50,000 but winter road conditions in Iowa are not meant for rolling the dice :)... Treadwear became a little uneven and slight cupping began to occur at 40,000 miles. Tires were still drivable, but began sacrificing some grip in wet/snowy/off road conditions...

The Pirelli All Terrain Plus is the first truck tire I've purchased more than once. The OEM Hankooks on my F-150 lasted 70,000 miles but literally left me stuck in the mud when I went off road. The Yokohama Geolandar's I replaced them with had some decent off road traction and were terrific on icy/slushy roads, but were bald at 35,000 miles. I'm buying my second set of Pirelli's after 47,000 miles (just shy of the 50,000 tread warranty). I could probably run them to 50,000 but winter road conditions in Iowa are not meant for rolling the dice :) Strengths of this tire include:

- Incredibly quiet tires for the all-terrain category
- Responsive handling on dry pavement (just as sticky as the all season tires on my wife's SUV)
- No issues in wet conditions with ample tread
- Simply the best gravel/dirt road tire I've ever owned (amazing lateral grip when navigating tight turns on gravel roads)
- Some of the best snow tires I've ever owned
- Limited use in the mud but the results were encouraging
- Towed my 16 ft boat without any issues

Weaknesses:
- Ice traction could be better. The siping on these tires is fairly basic and it shows on ice.
- Treadwear became a little uneven and slight cupping began to occur at 40,000 miles. Tires were still drivable, but began sacrificing some grip in wet/snowy/off road conditions

Final verdict: These tires were a great option for someone like me who drives pavement 90% of the time but who needs tires that perform well in winter conditions in the Midwest and during weekend hunting/fishing excursions on gravel/dirt roads with occasional 4x4 runs through the mud. A great all around all-terrain option at a competitive price point both times I've purchased. Highly recommend if you're looking for a budget all-terrain tire.
