The Grabber A/TX is General's Off-Road All-Terrain tire developed for the drivers of pickup trucks, work vans and full-size SUVs who need confident traction in a variety of conditions, whether that is on pavement, in dirt, wet conditions and even light snow. The Grabber A/TX is designed to blend rugged durability and on-road civility, in addition to providing light snow traction that meets the tire industry's severe snow service requirements and earns the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

A tough, cut- and chip-resistant compound is molded into the all-terrain tread pattern of the Grabber A/TX. General's Comfort Balance Technology utilizes an absorption layer under the tread and acoustic tread pattern to enhance ride and sound comfort, and the wide footprint and optimized pattern stiffness help evenly distribute pressure for even wear and long life. Stone bumpers between the alternating shoulder blocks help eject rocks and debris to prevent drilling, and Sidewall Protection Lugs are designed to protect from sidewall punctures. Deep starting tread depths and multi-angle tread blocks aid traction in loose terrain, while traction notches and sipes create additional biting edges for grip in dirt, wet conditions and snow. Grabber A/TX tires are designed to accept optional metal studs to enhance traction on ice and packed snow.

The internal construction of the Grabber A/TX utilizes General's DuraGen Technology, with ultra-high-strength steel belts, a robust, two-ply polyester casing to balance toughness and ride comfort and two polyamide reinforcement plies that aid durability and provide high-speed capability.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...Very good wet traction...

This is a great tire. Quiet ride in comparison to the OEM tires. Very good wet traction. Snow traction is also good. Dry traction is excellent. I have already bought another set for my sister's Honda and she loves the tires.

Still breaking tires in (500 mile break in period). Haven't really given the tires a workout. No rain since I bought but some standing water on roadway the day I had them installed. Old factory tires with 22K miles used to pull hard with water on the road.
These Pirelli Scorpions no issues.
Check back with me in 6 to 8 months when I've had a chance to give these tires a proper shakedown.

...Went through huge snowstorm with them at about 12000 miles - felt in control at all times.

Very happy with the Scorpions. Ride like a cloud but grip when needed to. Very quiet. We feel safe and secure - huge improvement over Bridgestone OE tires. Some slight hydroplaning in extreme puddles/washouts on highway at high speeds - none in city or country road driving at normal speeds. Went through huge snowstorm with them at about 12000 miles - no problems, felt in control at all times.

...Purchased especially because specs indicated improved performance in light to heavier snow conditions and we had not driven rear while drive daily in decades... Very confident standing starts; improved stability; control/responsiveness...

Staggered new Pirelli's replaced Bridgestone Potenza 225/60/18 on front and Bridgestone Turanza 235/60/18 on back first week in January 2024. Not sure home many miles on old tires so not a objective comparison. Purchased especially because specs indicated improved performance in light to heavier snow conditions and we had not driven rear while drive daily in decades. New Pirelli's noticeable quieter immediately from change over. Much Less interior road noise. In past 4 weeks have driven in dry; rain wet; sleet/squall wet/windy; snow; a 300 mile trip. Very confident standing starts; improved stability; control/responsiveness. Smoother braking. VSC did not engage as with previous rear tires. Significant improvement so far. My cousin had been purchasing through Tire Rack for years. I researched on the website of and on for a month as we had been driving front wheel drives. $80 rebate, free 6 month financing aided better quality tires compared to other vehicles we own. Also lower installation cost from local Auto Repair Shop. Had been purchasing tires from national discount chain.

...the snow traction is better...

Replaced the standard factory tires on my Highlander to these Pirelli AS3 based on Tire Rack reviews, and I am very happy. These tires match up great on the Highlander. Very quiet and smooth ride, better than the factory tires, and the snow traction is better. They handle really nicely when I want to push the Highlander on curves. They seem quieter and smoother than before somehow. I can't rate these highly enough as I am very happy with these Pirelli's, my first try of Pirelli on any vehicle, and I will be a buyer again.

...Dry traction and handling are outstanding...

Great tires, have not had any issues with them so far. Dry traction and handling are outstanding. Will see how they wear, but so far so good. Quiet when new and lightly worn, no excessive road noise, which is a big plus. Has handled rain well - did not experience hydroplaning or loss of traction even in heavy rain. No idea how they behave in the snow.

I just rolled over 30K and they still perform like new and you can barely tell there are any miles on them at all!...

I don't know what kind of secret sauce that Pirelli is using with these tires, but OH MY --- are these fantastic performers. I have replaced the factory tires on my last 4 vehicles and had previously enjoyed the Cooper CS5 Grand Touring, but when I got my Murano, I found that I could not get them in my new tire size. I did extensive research and came to the conclusion that the Pirelli was the tire for me. Instantly smoother and quieter than the admittedly decent factory Bridgestones. I just rolled over 30K and they still perform like new and you can barely tell there are any miles on them at all! I have been singing the praise of these tires since day 1 and continue to be pleasantly surprised with the balanced performance in ALL conditions. I live in Minnesota and see plenty of snow and ice and I can crawl through over 12 inches of snow like it's nothing. Lateral control on ice has been nothing short of stunning, and summer/dry conditions are smooth, quiet, and controlled. Cannot recommend enough.

Have been running Michelin Latitude Tours since new. Decided to try the new Pirelli AS tire to try and get increased wear from the set. After 15,000 miles I think they are working out pretty good. Tires came with 11/32 tread depth and currently have 9/32 across the tread on all 4 tires. They didn't balance out quite as smooth as the Michelins but are quieter and handle well in both wet and dry. I haven't had them in snow or on ice so no opinion there. The cost per mile is working out to be much lower than the MIchelins and since this Cayenne Diesel is a highway cruiser not a mountain carver I'm very satisfied.
