The Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico is Pirelli's Street/Sport Truck All-Season tire developed for the North American market to be used on powerful crossover and sport utility vehicles, as well as pickups possessing very sporting dispositions. Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico tires are designed for drivers looking for style, handling and traction for America's dry, wet and wintry conditions, even including occasional light snow.

The Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico radial's high performance all-season tread compound provides progressive grip when cornering. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that features a notched outboard shoulder rib to enhance steering response, cornering stability and high-speed precision. Special Z-profile intermediate tread blocks flank a continuous center rib to blend foul-weather traction with acoustic comfort while wide circumferential grooves evacuate water to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to enhance handling and high-speed durability.

Limited sizes of the Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

Note: Size 295/40R22 Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico MO1 (Mercedes Original Equipment) is not branded with the M+S symbol, nor intended to be serviced, stored or driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Customers Say

Customer ratings showcase the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico as a strong performer in its Street/Sport Truck All-Season category. Dry traction earns consistent praise with scores clustered in 8-10 ranges, delivering confident handling and responsive steering. Wet traction also impresses, with many ratings in 7-10 ranges and reliable hydroplaning resistance. Winter traction receives mixed feedback, with scores spanning 2-10, showing adequate light snow capability but limited ice performance. Comfort stands out for its smooth ride and low noise, scoring 7-10 in most cases. Treadwear is polarizing-many report rapid wear (scores 0-5), though some note satisfactory longevity (6-10), suggesting variability in driving conditions or maintenance habits.

...Performance is breath taking, with remarkable grip in cornering (even in wet conditions), take-off drive, responsiveness, stability...there is just not another tire that I have ever driven on that put so much power to the pavement (and kept it there!!!)...

For a driver like me, who doesnt get off the beaten path, because I want to be seen...in the hottest ride, the Scorpion Zero is unparalled in every category (even the ones you cant rate)! Performance is breath taking, with remarkable grip in cornering (even in wet conditions), take-off drive, responsiveness, stability...there is just not another tire that I have ever driven on that put so much power to the pavement (and kept it there!!!). The unrated category is that the Scorpion Zeros looks and appeal completely enhance the vehicles sex appeal. They are as much a styling enhancement at the 22" rims they ride on. The same tires are on my truck, that are on Formula One race cars (the winners cars at least)...yeah you gotta love that too!

...In wet conditions, especially when in the first 40k, I had absolute confidence. While other SUV's were slowing down, I charged ahead unfazed by the weather...

I have had superior results from the OEM Pirellis. I have admittedly ran them to the nubs, but I am only now replacing them with the same. I note that one other reviewer experienced an annoying but fleeting issue, namely that for the first few miles on cool or cold days that the tires vibrate harshly, but it disappears in a few minutes and despite extensive amount of rebalancing and realigning, no issues were found with the truck. A strange but very allowable fault. If you are a sunbelt resident who rarely sees snow, do yourself a favor and outfit your truck with these beauties. Dry performance is outstanding - when people drive this truck they literally comment on how fantastic the ride is. In wet conditions, especially when in the first 40k, I had absolute confidence. While other SUV's were slowing down, I charged ahead unfazed by the weather. I understand they are pricey, but compared to your vehicle, it is a great investment.

...I've been in deep snow, light snow, and ice as well. The tires have been better then expected in all cases...

I'm a dedicated snow tire user typically but I thought I'd give these tires a try this winter and I'm glad I did. I do have AWD, anti lock breaks, traction control, etc.... and these tires have been great overall. I've been in deep snow, light snow, and ice as well. The tires have been better then expected in all cases. I would definitely buy these again. I don't know if I'll risk a second winter, but I wouldn't with any all season. I may try it with these as they are wearing very well so far. They still seem like new after 11k miles.

...Pirelli definitely has better grid on icy and snowy surface... it is still quiet and runs very well in icy and snowy condition.

I have a ML320 fitted with the ML 55 AMG wheels. Before using the Pirell, I had a set of Yokohama AVS S/T. The Yokohama is great at the beginning, but, became very noisy after 20 plus thousand miles.

Pirelli definitely has better grid on icy and snowy surface. I have put on more than 1000 miles on the pirelli, and it is still quiet and runs very well in icy and snowy condition.

...I also tested them in a snow blizzard one winter and they handled fairly deep snow without any noticeable issues...

We bought these tires for my wife's SUV a couple of years ago and we have been very happy with them. The ride is quiet and comfortable yet they offer a very confident cornering stability in all road conditions and driving situations. As an amateur race car driver I like to test my car's limits from time to time and I gotta tell you, these tires never disappointed me. I also tested them in a snow blizzard one winter and they handled fairly deep snow without any noticeable issues.
As for treadwear, even after 20k miles on them, the tires feel as good as new. A definite winner, which I recommend highly.

...Great cornering and w.o.t. traction... Predictable performance during spirited driving...

Original equipment on the truck. I have purchased a new set (same tire). Great cornering and w.o.t. traction. Quiet and smooth. Predictable performance during "spirited driving".

Drop pressure to 22 p.s.i. for 1/4 mile track use for the best traction. This tire does however have a fairly high rolling resistance apparently, but the truck still went 155 m.p.h.

...Highly recommend plus sizing to these tires for a comfortable ride with excellent dry weather traction.

I increased the size slightly from a 40 to 45 profile. These tires are remarkably smooth compared to the OE Michelins. I also purchased a set of Cooper LTZs, same size, which are way too agressive (very noisy with a rough ride due to the off-road design) for on-road use. Highly recommend plus sizing to these tires for a comfortable ride with excellent dry weather traction.

...Dry not bad either...

These are the oem tires on my truck. I've driven 22k on them and they seem to be ok. All have 5/32 remaining with regular balancing and rotations. All in all not a bad tire, but going to step up a little in size to a 305/45/22 instead of the 275/45/22 to get a taller tire and a cheaper price. Probably going to get about 35k out of these before they're done. Not the best tire I've owned or the worst. On my F-150 they get flat spots if it's cold and it's parked more than about 2 hours. It will ride like a dumptruck for about 2 miles and it will clear up. They wear well for a low-profile tire and in the rain are very good. Dry not bad either. Even in slight mud they're pretty decent. However they're not really a great snow tire. But where I live it might snow 2 inches a year.

...Much quieter, smoother, better response. It was as if I bought a new SUV...

I just moved from the Scorpion Zero 40K on them, to the Zero A. At first I was weary as the tire itself looked less cool than the Zero ( no yellow scorpion and rounder on the sidewall). But as soon as I drove down the highway I became a fan. Much quieter, smoother, better response. It was as if I bought a new SUV. My hat goes off to the folks at Pirelli for trumping their own product.

Anybody looking to buy some all-seasons for a SUV should go to the ZERO A or nothing.

cheers

...Dry weather is good and treadwear is simply phenominal. With >500hp and a love of donuts I can still get considerably more than 22k miles from them. I would estimate 30k miles before they are toast.

Not sure if its the truck or the tires (my bet is truck) but wet weather handling is truly evil. Dry weather is good and treadwear is simply phenominal. With >500hp and a love of donuts I can still get considerably more than 22k miles from them. I would estimate 30k miles before they are toast.
