The Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico is Pirelli's Street/Sport Truck All-Season tire developed for the North American market to be used on powerful crossover and sport utility vehicles, as well as pickups possessing very sporting dispositions. Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico tires are designed for drivers looking for style, handling and traction for America's dry, wet and wintry conditions, even including occasional light snow.
The Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico radial's high performance all-season tread compound provides progressive grip when cornering. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that features a notched outboard shoulder rib to enhance steering response, cornering stability and high-speed precision. Special Z-profile intermediate tread blocks flank a continuous center rib to blend foul-weather traction with acoustic comfort while wide circumferential grooves evacuate water to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to enhance handling and high-speed durability.
Limited sizes of the Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.
Note: Size 295/40R22 Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico MO1 (Mercedes Original Equipment) is not branded with the M+S symbol, nor intended to be serviced, stored or driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

...The stopping is phenomenal, they stick well in the curves (and Ive tried to get them to let go), and don't hydroplane- even at 80. I think I would roll my truck before they let go.
These tires are great! The stopping is phenomenal, they stick well in the curves (and Ive tried to get them to let go), and don't hydroplane- even at 80. I think I would roll my truck before they let go. My truck feels very planted and stable- it felt skatey on the stockers. I now have over 30000 miles on them and it looks like I'll get at least 10-15k more. This is way better than I expected for this type of tire and my kind of driving. The road noise seems to come and go, but has never been objectionable, although they got pretty loud in the curves when they were newer. I couldn't be happier with these tires and will definitely buy them again- highly recommended and worth the money.

These tires are much better in wet conditions than my original equipment general tires. I have added many performance items to my truck. My factory tires would slip and scare me in water. With these tires I can actually accelerate to normal speeds without tire slippage. They are great in dry conditions also. I will definitely purchase a new set when my tires wear.14000 miles and still going strong and look new.

...I had no problems on wet roads. The biggest difference was the braking on wet roads. With my factory tires, the ABS would kick in early when I braked on wet roads... With the Pirellis, the ABS quit engaging...
The Pirelli Scorpion Zeros are by far the best value for the money. These tires perform as well or better than the higher priced brands. Pirelli has come a long way and now should always be on your list of brands to consider. Right off the UPS truck, the Pirellis were tacky to the touch and I knew I had picked the right tire. These tires are at their best when on dry pavement. They grab the road and don't let go. We do not get much snow and ice here in Oklahoma, so my reviews on the slick stuff is very limited. I had no problems on wet roads. The biggest difference was the braking on wet roads. With my factory tires, the ABS would kick in early when I braked on wet roads. Of course this was partly due to worn tires; but they did it well before they were worn down. With the Pirellis, the ABS quit engaging. I will buy Pirellis again.

Bought these tires to replace the stock tires that came with the vehicle. They did fine until the snow flew then their limitations became clear. These things are terrible in the snow. Heavy snow especially but even light snow made the vehicle a handful to drive. I actually prefered to drive my FWD Cobalt with winter tires over my SUV with these tires and AWD. The tires tend to wander as well. Had the alignment checked and everything was fine. Must just be the tires. Stay away from these if it snows where you live. There are way better tires out there for the money than these.

...Since owning these tires, for the past month, I have been unable to break them loose while cornering, despite seriously aggressive driving. My trucks handling is ONLY limited by its suspension... The handling literally blows me away! I can out corner most street cars, including my 97 Honda Prelude (a sports car!).
These are some of the BEST tires I have ever owned. I have driven cars and trucks with tires from just about EVERY manufacturer.
When it comes to performance TRUCK tires these tires are the ONLY way to go! They provide unfadeable performance. Since owning these tires, for the past month, I have been unable to break them loose while cornering, despite seriously aggressive driving. My trucks handling is ONLY limited by its suspension. I have a full performance suspension 2" and 4" drop/lowering with hotchkis springs, Edelbrock shocks. With these suspension mods and my new Scorpion zeros my truck is unstoppable! The handling literally blows me away! I can out corner most street cars, including my 97 Honda Prelude (a sports car!).
Anyway if you are looking for THE best handling truck tire then go for the Scorpion Zeros, you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!

...Dry cornering and handling in general is superior...
I chose these tires for the price and the performance profile and have not been disappointed. Some reviewers remarked about excessive noise, but I have not noticed it to be a problem. Dry cornering and handling in general is superior, and wet traction is way better than the OEMs. The only problem I have is on snow, but that it not much of a concern here in central Oklahoma. The appearance of these tires also definitely adds to their appeal. The only real drawback so far is that they are extremely heavy, so if youre worried about unsprung weight, look elsewhere, and it makes them a bit difficult to balance properly. Tread wear seems to be at least as good as advertised. Overall, Im very pleased with these tires and am seriously considering a set for my wifes Rodeo. I would buy them again, if I keep my vehicle that long.

...On highways, city stop-and-go, the Pirellis are SUPERB - a bit noisy, yes - thats the price to pay for reassurance and control when slamming the brakes from 90mph, or when driving in the rain. These tires do not let you down...
First of all, my style of driving is German - I drive fast, brake hard, and enjoy cornering. My other car is a Mercedes. Previously BMW.
To the tires, obviously a HUGE improvement over the OEM Wrangler "tires" - lose those ASAP when you buy the vehicle. They absolutely stink - for my driving style.
On highways, city stop-and-go, the Pirellis are SUPERB - a bit noisy, yes - thats the price to pay for reassurance and control when slamming the brakes from 90mph, or when driving in the rain. These tires do not let you down. Wear could be better - but, with the way I drive... guess not. :-)
I have driven the car on a fair amount of northern california dirt road trails - and pretty good performance in the dirt - mostly thanks to the Discos constant 4WD, traction control and ABS - the tires really arent made for the dirt. Still, I felt in control even going through gravel curves with four-wheel slides.
Highly recommend these, they are getting to the point of replacement soon (likely within 5,000 miles) and Ill trade to 19" wheeels but also with Pirellis.
BTW, Im an engineer, formerly in the automotive industry, I did exhaustive research before settling on the Pirellis - I can definitely recommend them for anyone except those who enjoy driving in the mud.

These are the best tires I’ve ever had on a vehicle. Minimal road noise and such a smooth ride. You will be going 70 on the highway, and these tires make it feel like you are going 40. The traction and response of steering is impeccable. You may pay a premium for these, but if these traits listed above matter to you, it is worth it.

...RIDE COMFORT: the Scorpion Zero is the worst, heavy steering on parking lot, rough ride on bumpy road...
Im comparing a 255/55/18 109V Pirelli Scorpion Zero (Sport Truck All Season) to a 255/55/18 109H Bridgestone Duele Alenza (Highway All Season) and a 235/70/16 104SP Goodyear Integrity (OEM Highway All Season) on a 2006 Honda Pilot. My comparions are based on the 2006 Honda Pilot that has stiff suspension and weak power steering. (Your cars suspension might be softer and power steering might be stronger, so the tires can react different on your car) . 1/ RIDE COMFORT: the Scorpion Zero is the worst, heavy steering on parking lot, rough ride on bumpy road. The Integrity is light and smooth. The Alenza is ranked between the other two tires. 2/ HANDLING: the Scorpion Zero is the best, quick and precise steering response. 2nd is the Alenza. 3/ LOOK: The Scorpion looks best on the Pilot with sporty wheel. For 2006 Honda Pilot owner, before change your wheel to a larger size and a female is also using the car, think twice because steering will be heavier, and the ride will be much rougher, especially with sport tire like the Scorpion Zero. Only the best Highway AllSeason tire like the Alenza could smoother your ride on a large size rim, but it wont look very sporty.

...The tires lasted on 10,000 miles... The tires are wearing unevenly, expensive and don't last at all.
These are the worst tires I've had. My wife is driving our GL450 in a very relaxed manner. The tires lasted on 10,000 miles. At the time of purchase they balanced & aligned. Pirelli refused to admit that the tires are defective. The tires are wearing unevenly, expensive and don't last at all. I won't buy Pirelli's again.

Do not buy this tire unless you area willing to buy them again within the year. I can't believe Pirelli put a product out with such a poor tread life... Less than 50% tread life in under 6 months.
Do not buy this tire unless you area willing to buy them again within the year. I can't believe Pirelli put a product out with such a poor tread life. Very good winter performance. I wish they would have lasted 7-8 winters since they are on the car for only 4-5 months a year as snow tires. VERY DISAPPOINTED in these. BUYER BEWARE Less than 50% tread life in under 6 months.
