Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The iceGUARD G075 is Yokohama's Light Truck/SUV Studless Ice & Snow winter tire developed for the drivers of crossovers, SUVs, Jeeps and light trucks who want to maximize their traction in challenging winter driving conditions. Featuring Yokohama's advanced winter tire technology, iceGUARD G075 tires are designed to perform at their best in cold temperatures on dry, wet, slushy, snow-covered and icy roads.

Yokohama BluEarth branding is used to identify an ecologically focused series of tires designed to deliver environmentally, human- and socially friendly solutions for drivers and their vehicles. iceGuard G075 tires featuring BluEarth branding are identified as such on their "Sizes" and "Specs" pages.

The specialized winter compound of iceGUARD G075 tires is molded into a directional pattern with a wide, center rib designed to increase contact with the road, or with the ice and hard-packed snow. The high density compound increases tread block stability and provides more even contact with the road for enhanced traction and longevity. Zig zag circumferential grooves help evacuate water from the contact patch while also creating edges for grip in snow and on ice, and 3D triple sipes combined with micro diagonal sipes further improve traction in slippery conditions.

The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts on top of a two-ply polyester cord casing to blend durability and ride comfort. A nylon reinforcement ply helps to enhance handling and provides high-speed capability.

The iceGUARD G075 Light Truck/SUV Studless Ice & Snow tire meets the industry's severe snow service requirements and is branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Install Yokohama iceGUARD G075 tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of iceGUARD G075 tires, Yokohama recommends using them only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

*Specific sizes featuring BluEarth technology are identified as such on the sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

...They are very steady on dry roads and excellent on light snow and wet roads...

Great winter tire. I've had them for a few weeks and so far I'm very impressed. They are very steady on dry roads and excellent on light snow and wet roads. They seem to handle ice well, actually noticeably better than X-Ice tires I had before. I recommend these tires for snowy/icy roads and avoid hotter dry roads as they will wear faster.

...During inclement weather, vehicles often have to stop in a hurry to avoid hitting other vehicles or pedestrians. These tires grab whether on black ice, in heavy rain, on packed snow, or on fresh snow. You do need to allow stopping room, but in my experience, the braking distance is about the same as all season tires on a wet road...

The first thing you notice about the Yokohama ice Guard G075 snow tires is how quiet they are. The next thing you notice is how well they corner. I do both highway and city driving. When vehicles on the double lane highway slow to 40 mph because that is the speed at which they feel safe in the snow and the icy slush, these tires allow me to drive 50 mph before I feel any trepidation. At work by the river, the roads are always icy and we have to stop on a hill, then make a 90 degree turn. These tires grip like it is a dry road. They grip and hold.

These tires will initially slip on black ice before grabbing and holding the traction. You have to know these tires will take you where you point the car. I live in the Northeast. Last year with 4' of snow in Vermont and all season tires, we were slipping and sliding all over the road. This year in the same vehicle with the Yokohama ice Guard G075 tires, when we got 4" of snow and ice, traction held and we were able to plow through it without slipping or fishtailing.

As great as all that is, the biggest bonus that makes these tires worth the money is their stopping power. During inclement weather, vehicles often have to stop in a hurry to avoid hitting other vehicles or pedestrians. These tires grab whether on black ice, heavy rain, packed snow, or fresh snow. You do need to allow stopping room, but in my experience, the braking distance is about the same as all season tires on a wet road. On dry roads these ice Guard tires will stop your vehicle quicker than all season tires. Be aware because it came as a surprise to me. Then, I smiled.

Respectfully,
Dean Cornwell

Replaced Blizzak's with these tires - put 1200 miles on them so far and have had many snow/ice conditions to test them out. So far I would say they perform as well or better than the Blizzak's in poor conditions. Because of all that new tread, I would say it is a bit more wobbly when initiating quick turns, but it's a minivan, not a porsche. No big deal.

Note that I had the Run Flat version of Blizzak's, and moved away from the run flats with these Yoko's because the reality is, if I get a flat, I'm calling AAA. And I did have a tire failure with run flat tires on highway, and we were lucky to get 10 miles out of it before we came close to riding on rims. Still had to call AAA.

Bottom line is that I would recommend these tires, at least from what I have experienced so far. Can't say much about wear yet...good luck.

Just installed the new winter tires Yokohama Ice Guard (finally) to replace my 6 years old Yokohama YK580, I have only put about 15 miles on it and I already noticed a big difference in performance on light snow and icy road compare to my all season tires. I lived in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Alaska from 2012-2021. I have the YK580 (discontinue) since March 2014 have put about 45,000 miles on it. The YK580 was great, it still has plenty of treads left after 45,000 miles in harsh climate, but it was starting to show its age (minor cracks). I never had winter tires for the past 8 years I lived in snow country, so it's time I pull the trigger and decide to go with the Yokohama Ice Guard since I have had good experience with Yokohama tires. I highly recommend the Yokohama Ice Guard if you live where it snow or temperature drop below 45F.

I have used them thru both the summer and the winter and they are quite impressive providing great traction in all conditions...

I bought this wheel and tire package from the Tire Rack. These tires are quite surprising. I have used them thru both the summer and the winter and they are quite impressive providing great traction in all conditions. For a winter tire, they are quiet although as the miles rack up, there are starting to slowly get a hum similar to a more aggressive tire...but by no means annoying. The tire has remained completely square throughout the 26k and I rebalanced them once at 8,000 miles. For a 275, it looks much wider than most 275s. Based on remaining tread, I anticipate about 35k before they will no longer pass inspection. Mileage in my 395hp RAM with these tires ranges 17.1mpg thru 21.8mpg...depending on how you treat the gas pedal. Do I love them? Well, I have a brand new identical set of 4 stacked in my garage waiting for their turn.

...Surprisingly quiet and smooth (especially for a winter tire), with excellent grip in light snow, heavy slush, and ice...

Great tires! Surprisingly quiet and smooth (especially for a winter tire), with excellent grip in light snow, heavy slush, and ice. I haven't had the pleasure of deep snow yet. I expect many winters of use out of these. I put five winters on their predecessors, Yokohama IG51v, and those were at 8/32 come the end of that service (about 30,000 miles). The performance of the IG51v was the primary reason I bought these (IG51v no longer available), and, so far, I am not disappointed.

...Very comparable to the Blizzak DMV-2's that I usually buy for my trucks. (Compared to DMV-2) A little quieter(they both generate some noise)...

Excellent winter tire. I usually buy Blizzaks but thought I would try these. Very comparable to the Blizzak DMV-2's that I usually buy for my trucks. (Compared to DMV-2)A little quieter(they both generate some noise), not quite as good on bare ice(more than adequate), fine in the slush and wet roads and better treadwear. I usually get about 8K miles on my Blizzaks before performance deteriorates but have 11K on these - I could go more(probably 15K) before performance problems(I live in Snow and ice country). Given the price differential and negligible performance characteristics plus better tread wear I would definitely buy again. I may try the new Michelins to see what they offer as comparison to these other 2.

I've had the all the blizzak / destinations/ and winterforce tires, and they wear out so quick, these iceguard tires are the best snow tires I've ever had , you can use them year round and still get 2 seasons out of them. I put them on all my vehicles and as long as they keep making them I won't buy another. Definitely recommend to anyone, only wish they made all sizes for smaller cars.
