The Pilot Sport 4S ZP is Michelin's Max Performance Summer run-flat tire developed in conjunction with some of the most demanding vehicle manufacturers. It was designed for serious drivers looking to maximize the performance potential of their sports cars, performance sedans and powerful luxury vehicles plus provide temporary continued mobility after a puncture has allowed complete loss of pressure. The Pilot Sport 4S ZP excels in warm, dry and wet conditions, and like all Max Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

The asymmetric tread pattern of the Pilot Sport 4S ZP features side-by-side, 24 Hours of Le Mans-derived compounds. The low-void outer shoulder utilizes a new dry-focused hybrid tread rubber for improved dry handling and braking over the previous generation tire, while the center ribs and inboard shoulder feature a silica-infused wet compound designed to increase wet braking performance. The computer-modeled Variable Contact Patch 3.0 optimizes pressure distribution across the contact patch through turns, reducing hot spots and improving tire life during aggressive use.

Internal construction of the Pilot Sport 4S ZP features twin steel belts reinforced by a spirally wound hybrid reinforcement ply. This hybrid aramid and nylon belt offers a lightweight, high-strength reinforcement above the steel belts to enhance high-speed handling, wear and durability. Specifically tuning the application of the cord filament provides Michelin engineers the ability to balance tension and strength, and a single-ply, polyester cord casing balances trade-offs between ride quality and responsive handling.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels, or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. While compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

*Specific sizes utilizing Michelin Total Performance eco-focused manufacturing methods are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

...These tires handle everything I ask them to do. They handle dry conditions like I'm on rails, they handle rain like it's a dry day and they handle hard fast cornering with very little complaining...

I’ve had several different Michelin tires on my vehicles over the years. To be honest, I wasn’t a fan. Those tires were over priced and always under performed. I’ve found specific Continental tires and Yokohama tires to perform much better on all of my other vehicles, both SUVs and performance cars.
However, when I got my CT5-V, it came with Michelin tires. I wasn’t expecting much. Wow, was I wrong. These tires on this vehicle are an awesome combination. At first, I ordered my car with the all season version of these tires due to Florida rains. But after reading multiple reviews I changed my order to summer only tires. I’m so glad I did.
These tires handle everything I ask them to do. They handle dry conditions like I’m on rails, they handle rain like it’s a dry day and they handle hard fast cornering with very little complaining. These tires provide the most confidence I’ve ever had in a street tire.
As far as tread wear, they’ve performed well. Due to the asphalt roads in Florida being made with shells, the roads eat tires. On other tires I’ve seldom ever gotten anywhere close to the advertised mileage. These tires are rated for 30k miles and I just passed 25k. I will admit that I’ve never used launch control because I didn’t want to give up several hundred miles of tread for a few seconds of fun. However, for spirited driving in hot Florida conditions and enjoying the occasional corner or two, the tread life is better than expected. I’m down to the wear bars on the rear tires but they STILL grip the road and still handle well enough in the rain, though I haven’t pushed them in the rain for the last several thousand miles, just to be safe.
I will definitely be getting another set of these tires for my car and I strongly recommend them for yours.

Purchased these tires for my 2015 BMW 435xi ZHP with staggered 20" wheels. Compared to the stock Pirelli PZeros, the Michelin 4S ZPs are far quieter on all road surfaces. Ride comfort is also noticeably improved. The most impressive aspect I've noticed is traction under heavy throttle- the tires have excellent grip even on soaked road surfaces. Far less forward and lateral slip compared to PZeros. As a BMW owner with extremely limited runflat performance tire options, I welcome the Michelin ZPs.

...My regular race shop suggested that I try the Pilot Sport 4S ZP version and what a transformation!... And very good in wet conditions...

This is the PERFECT tire for my Mustang GT with the PP2 option. It came with the Pilot Sport Cup 2's which, for dedicated track use, would have been awesome. But, for everyday driving, even aggressive driving, where just downright awful! And in the rain? Forget it! My regular race shop suggested that I try the Pilot Sport 4S ZP version and what a transformation! It's like a totally different car in terms of handling (no more tram lining!) and ride performance overall. A somewhat quieter ride as well although not dramatically different. And very good in wet conditions. I haven't had them on long enough to rate their tread wear but I know it's rated almost X2 the Sport Cup 2's (which makes sense). I don't think you can go wrong with these!

...The car was phenom on these Michelins...

When I bought this Porsche from Penske Porsche in Cleveland, OH, it was equipped with Pirelli P Zero Rosa. Nice rubber, but it got louder as the miles accumulated. This set of rubber has great capabilities. I did a 2-Day PCA DE at Nelson Ledges road circuit. The car was phenom on these Michelins. I now have over 150,000 miles on this car, my 3rd Porsche. As a graduate of both Skip Barber and Bondurant racing schools, I do use the car and the tires assertively.

These tires are a game changer from the Cup 2 tires that came on the car. They are not as sticky and do not pick up small rocks and gravel. Much quieter and great traction.

While I haven't driven too many miles on these Pilot Sport 4S's these tires have experienced a good selection of roadways, from neighborhood streets and city arteries to roads that are always under construction to high-speed highway and toll road driving, and I am very happy with these tires so far. The Pilot Sport 4S's definitely brought life back to the steering and suspension of my Infiniti Q50 Sport, and still have a sporty but comfortable ride. The Pilot Sport 4S are relatively quiet and after 7500 wore very evenly. I tire profile gives me a sporty look without any suspension mods. I highly recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tire

...It drives like a new car - quiet, solid tracking, hangs the road curves like a cat...

I purchased my 2018 BMW 440i used with 29,000 miles on it. The only think the car needed was an oil change and new tires. Replaced the original Pirelli’s - got an alignment and the new Michelins installed. It drives like a new car - quiet, solid tracking, hangs the road curves like a cat. I cannot praise these tires enough. All my cars run Michelins!

...At almost 27000 miles the tread bar is just starting to become visible. No side wear all 4 tires are wearing perfectly even... I've driven over a million miles in my lifetime and have never had a high performance tire last like these.

Best all around tire I've ever had. At almost 27000 miles the tread bar is just starting to become visible. No side wear all 4 tires are wearing perfectly even. Still smooth no noise. Tire is patchable as long as nail or screw is on outer band left or right side of tire. I've driven over a million miles in my lifetime and have never had a high performance tire last like these. BTW no flats only a screw in tire outer band haven't fixed yet loses about 2 lbs a month.
