I have 3 sets of tire duffels for all our vehicles. I use Tire Rack storage racks placed high on the garage wall to store off-season wheels/tires, and these duffels make it much easier to haul the wheels up and down the ladder. They do a nice job of protecting wheels as well. The open design means dust & bugs definitely still get it, so I would recommend the wheel felts as well to close off the openings and add a layer of protection between wheels. Keep in mind a set of 4 felts leaves the back or front open so you really need 5 for a set of 4 wheels. These even fit my RS6 Avant 22” wheels without a problem! Love this product!
These tire totes are perfect for 17 inch wheels and/or tires. They are a little too small for 18 inch wheels or tires. The handle is a nice feature. They are reasonably priced and hold up wheel. Keeps the vehicle clean while transporting, keeps the tires protected and clean in storage and makes them a lot easier to handle them.
I’ve used these for about 10 months now. 2X a month to bring my auto cross wheels and tires up and down to the car. Super simple to use, makes carrying the wheels like a luggage bag easy. The problem is where the handles are sewn on, the material starting the fray and I’m getting a little uneasy because if they snap. There goes my expensive wheel tire down a second story flight of stairs. Could hit a car or a person.
I called tire rack and they sent me a new set as a courtesy so we will see how these hold up. If I would change one thing and one thing only it would be that it needs to be more durable where the handle is stitched.
Great price on a great product! Much thicker and more heavy duty than the others you’ll find elsewhere. They really make handling the tires/wheels much easier and less dirty. They cover enough of the wheel to protect those too (I thought I might need felt pads, but these are just fine). I’m very happy with them and would suggest them to anyone storing wheels/tires for both functionality and appearance.
