The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2—frequently known as the "BFG KO2"—is an Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire developed to meet the needs of jeep, pickup truck and sport utility vehicle drivers who want confidence and control on and off road. The All-Terrain T/A KO2 was designed by BFGoodrich to deliver go-anywhere traction along with outstanding durability, great wear and year-round traction, even in snow.

All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires feature a racing derived cut-, chip- and tear-resistant tread compound that delivers longer life (up to 2 times the previous generation tire's treadwear on gravel roads). The compound is molded into an aggressive, computer optimized, high-void all-terrain pattern with interlocking tread blocks, innovative siping and multiple loose object ejection features to combine off-road durability and traction with on-road handling and acceptable noise.

BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2Upper shoulder Sidewall Armor features a tougher sidewall rubber compound that's twice as thick as its predecessor and a Serrated Shoulder Design that delivers additional traction by providing the clawing action necessary to develop traction and steering control in deep dirt, sand or on rock during "aired down" off-road driving.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon on top of BFGoodrich's TriGard, 3-ply polyester cord sidewall ply construction (2 plies for Load Range C tires) for strength and durability.

Single strand beads (a single strand of bead wire is continuously wrapped multiple times until the desired strength is provided) enhance the tire's fit to the wheel to improve uniformity and ride quality.

NOTE: BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

...I drive through 10 inches of snow like it's not even there in front of me....and that is priceless!

If you want tires that will keeps you safe and still offer the best traction available for your 4 wheel drive, these are the ones ! They are a little noisier than a smooth tire on the highway but that is expected. It really isn’t a problem. These are amazing tires. I drive through 10 inches of snow like it’s not even there in front of me….and that is priceless !

...Gravel roads, ice, snow, rain. they just keep working, whether I'm towing or not...

I absolutely LOVE these tires! Can not recommend them enough. I understand that the 02's are out and the 03's are the new model, but I imagine they're about the same.
These tires handle everything I throw at them living on a ranch in south east Kansas and driving to Denver and up in the mountains once in a while. Gravel roads, ice, snow, rain. they just keep working, whether I'm towing or not. ( recommend Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning TC2327 if you need such a thing). Gravel hasn't chewed them up at all, and they still work great after 2yrs! when they die I will be replacing with the sane (03's now I guess)

...On gravel, they handle very well, and the traction is very good...

I have avoided buying KO2's for decades because I always thought they were "too expensive". After years of running P-metric and cheaper LT tires, I finally got fed up with my gravel roads popping tires on my Suburban. I decided to bite the bullet and buy a set of KO2's in the LT range.
HOLY COW what a difference! The ride is obviously more firm, but it's also much more stable and predicatble than it was with other tires. It also doesn't "wallow" on the highway, it's much more responsive.
On gravel, they handle very well, and the traction is very good. I haven't had them in mud or deep snow yet, however, their reputation is one of the main reasons I have bought these tires.

These tires are great!! I purchased a set of these in 2019 when I bought my truck, I have a car trailer, and a camper that I tow often. The first set of these lasted 67,000 miles, I feel this set will last just as long. They do have a little road noise, but nothing to be distracting or complain about.

...On a vehicle with solid axles, expect 70,000 miles out of them with proper maintenance. Independent suspension vehicles will get about 25,000 miles less cuz they aren't as stable and rigid...

Been driving on BFG A/T tires since the 80s. Toughest tire on the planet. I have always had them siped, which increases snow and ice traction, reduces hydroplaning, and increases tread life. Aired down, they sometimes have a tendency to wear the sidewalls above the side bars which I think should come further up the sidewall, but never had a serious issue with them. One time I had a sharp rock peel a chunk of rubber about half the size of my palm off the center of the tread right down to the steel belts, drove it home over 400 miles. Like I said, the toughest tire out there.

The snow and ice traction with them siped is equal to most winter tires I've seen. We get plenty of snow and extreme cold here in ND so we get the worst winter weather. They have never let me down.

On a vehicle with solid axles, expect 70, 000 miles out of them with proper maintenance. Independent suspension vehicles will get about 25,000 miles less cuz they aren't as stable and rigid.

My personal opinion: the original A/T wasn't really great offroad, but it was VERY durable. The KO was the better tire for winter than the KO2. The shoulder tread blocks clean out better in mud on the KO2. The KO was slightly more stable on pavement cuz of the more closed shoulder blocks. Both excell offroad but don't confuse them with a mud tire, which most people don't need anyway, people buy mud tires for the looks, then complain about cupping, noise, and tire wear... The KO2 is slightly more prone to cupping on pavement than the KO if you don't keep up with the tire rotations but it's not a severe problem. Both have excellent pavement manners. Don't like the looks of the KO3, the tread is too closed up, definitely won't have the offroad traction of the KO2, especially in sand, mud, or snow. It's too biased towards pavement use. Won't buy them when I wear out the sets I have on my vehicles now. Probably will go with Mickey Thompson, they're a tough tire too which I also would recommend.
