Firestone Destination LE3 

I was disappointed after buying my 2017 GTI to see the rating given these tires. However, after over 15,000 miles, I find them much better than I had anticipated. They handle very well, have not hydroplaned despite the record amount of rain in the DC area, where I live, and have very positive dry traction as well. They are comfortable, firm, but give good road feel but not a harsh ride. They appear to be wearing well and have not yet become particularly noisy. NOTE: I keep them fully inflated, often adding a PSI or two since they are more lively that way. I would not hesitate to buy them again.

These tires came new with the 2019 Impala Premier with the Confidence Package's 20" wheels. When new and without comparing directly with any other tire, they seemed okay. Starting with the positives, the Potenzas after 12,000 miles wore evenly (rotating the tires every 5,000 miles and checking pressure weekly probably helped) and the dry road handling of the Impala is crisp for a car of this size. Having rented Impala with 18" or 19" wheels when on travel, I just assumed the harsher, noisier ride of my own Impala was attributable to the 20" wheels with lower profile tires. However, the noise of the Potenzas grew louder as the miles accumulated, including the development of a 'wobble' noise in one of the tires. After reading other Tire Rack reviews of other tires, I decided to change out the Potenzas after only 12,000 miles. This car is a road trip vehicle and the amount of tire noise is downright tiresome. Based on price and ratings, I replaced the Potenzas with Vredestein Quatrac Pros. The 20 mile drive home from the installer demonstrated how inferior these Potenzas are compared to other available tires priced less. The Potenzas are downright raucous with respect to noise and ride comfort compared to the Quatrac Pros. The Potenzas transmit every road imperfection no matter how small into the cabin, almost like riding a go-cart with solid wheels and no suspension. Putting on the Quatrac Pros transformed the Impala back into the highway cruiser it was intended to be. There are many better choices available, especially at the price of these Bridgestones - I don't know why anyone would buy them retail. It would be nice if the vehicle manufacturers researched Tire Rack before selecting the tires they throw on their vehicles. The back-to-back Potenza vs. Quatrac Pro comparison is enough to demonstrate just how much tires alone change the character of a vehicle.

Not sure why all the bad reviews for this tire. Mounted to a passenger car, they are an exceptional touring tire. I bought these from my local Volkswagen dealer as a replacement for OE Contis. They are very quiet and comfortable and grip exceptionally on both dry and wet roads. I have not had a chance to use these in light snow.

I this was the original tires on the car purchased new I had 63,000 miles on the original tires. They all wore even provided very good service.

I was very surprised at these tires that came with my premium edition of my STX Cadillac. A former professional race driver, I habitually "test" myself on cloverleafs, taking curves at twice their pre-marked speed, etc. in a sedan that is absolutely not designed for such spirited driving. These tires delivered all the traction and grip one could expect and surprised me at the tread wear. I could get another year out of them, but mid-west winter is coming and my wife also drives the car. The minor tire noise is a small compromise to get this kind of performance. I want to buy the same tires again.

I have 55,000 miles on these original equipment tires. I have been looking to find a replacement and after comparing the Continental DWS and Michelin Pilot Sport I have decided to go with these again. I really like the ride and wet performance.

Bought to match 2 other Bridgestone tires. They are a little noisier on the highway than I prefer. Good in dry conditions but sometimes only average in wet conditions.

Tires are garbage, have 20,000 miles and the front tires are at 3/32 (bald). Since the first mile the hydroplaning has been terrible, nothing like stressing about rain. Do not purchase, many better option. Tires came with the new car. I’ve had good with with Bridgestone but these are abysmal.

I normally don't review things, but This morning with just a slightly dew wet on-ramp the tail actually kicked out and I started to rotate, thankfully the stability control kicked in and saved the day or I would have been in the ditch. Ride comfort and dry traction are good. Tread would be to wear bars by 20k miles if I kept them, but I'm ordering new tires today, I have never felt such a lack of confidence in a tire.

These tires were the OEM tires on my '19 Volkswagen GTI Autobahn.

They were decent to start, maybe the first 5k miles. Since then they have been extremely noisy and borderline dangerous if there is any water on the roads.

They wore extremely fast in my opinion as well, from the road noise alone they should have been replaced about halfway through the 29k I suffered through them with.

The little bit of winter weather I drove through in North Carolina was suicidal. And I am a highly experienced winter weather driver, I am from Buffalo NY. If I were still living there I would have needed to replace them at the first snowfall.

For further info, I have never had an AWD/4x4 or winter tires in my 20 years experience driving in winter weather.

My strongest recommendation AGAINST buying these tires willingly.

They originally seemed good enough as an OEM 20" tire on my '15 Impala LTZ. They held their line in fast aggressive cornering. But they quickly because annoyingly noisy as they wore out. I have 51000km's on them and I won't be putting these tires on again in the spring. They should never be used in the snow or ice because they get so hard at lower temperatures. My most scary drive was in an early winter snowfall driving on them to have my winter tires installed. ( I have Michelin X-Ice xi3's which are super comfortable in snow and on ice. I have never got stuck with the X-Ice tires in 5 Canadian winters!) I just purchased some Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II's which have very good ratings for a quiet ride. I'll be installing them in the spring. I can't wait to say good bye to the Bridgestones and hello to the Pirelli's!

GM should be ashamed of themselves for putting these tires on their vehicles. A family sedan should never have giant 20" wheels and low profile tires. 12500 miles and they are more than 2/3 worn, loud, rough riding and blow out on the smallest of pot holes. Tire rack is great, these tires are not.

This tire held up very well on my 2016 TLX (fwd), and I would say is under rated. Comfort, noise, and mileage all outstanding.
On THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE, is a better tire than the Michelin Premier A/S in same H rating ! Better in many ways !
Just bought the Mich Premier A/Ss, and wish I had not (much more harsh on dips in road, noisier, but perhaps a little better in snow).
