The Destination LE3 is Firestone's Highway All-Season tire developed for drivers of light trucks, Crossovers, and SUVs looking for year round traction. Designed to deliver a quiet and comfortable ride, the Destination LE3 offers a long treadlife and confidence in inclement weather, including light snow.
The Destination LE3 features an advanced rubber compound molded into a symmetric tread design focused on delivering a smooth ride and precise clear road handling. Utilizing Firestone's TractionTech package, the Destination LE3 employs full-depth tread features that help retain consistent performance as the tire wears. Firestone's Hydro-Grip technology, which includes open shoulder slots and an optimized tread pattern, helps the Destination LE3 slice through water, reducing hydroplaning and aiding wet traction. An enhanced tread design uses full-depth 3D sipes providing confidence in winter conditions.
The internal structure is comprised of a polyester casing mated to two steel belts for durability, and a nylon reinforcement that further increases high speed stability.

Awesome tires. No noticeable treadware after 8000 miles. Silky smooth and quiet ride on good pavement. Excellent wet/dry braking, hydroplaning performance. Dry cornering like on rails (ok it's a RAM truck). Ride a bit harsh on rough surfaces (stiffer sidewalls than some competitors?) but will take it anytime for the cornering gains. Looked at Michilen Defender LTX MS which we had on our last RAM 1500 but better wet braking (my neighbor hates the wet braking performance of his Michilens) and equal performance in all but one other metric (I think the Michelins are smoother on rough surfaces) led me to the Firestones. The Firestones and Michelins were both replacements for OEM Goodyears and, in both cases, were night to day improvements. So far extremely happy with the Firestones.

Customers report reliable winter traction with most scoring 7-10 in snow and ice, highlighting confident handling. A few lower scores note occasional challenges in extreme conditions, but overall performance aligns well with all-season expectations.

...Better than expected traction in snow, especially on my uphill driveway (mostly based on tread design)...
Pleasantly surpised on how well these tires are performing. They were recommended by the service manager where I bought the vehicle. He has them on his SUV. Very smooth and quiet on the road at all speeds. Better than expected traction in snow, especially on my uphill driveway (mostly based on tread design). So far wearing well with 19,914 miles on them. I keep them inflated at 36psi. Price was also an attractive feature.

...Just came back from South Lake Tahoe and drove up and down a driveway with 1-2 inches of snow cover and freshly plowed but slushy roads. No issues. AWD and M+S tired were required to not have to use chains and both worked together perfectly.
Overall I’ve been very happy with these tires in my 2017 Mazda CX-9 AWD. Road noise is more than tolerable, with slight humming a certain speeds (~75-80 mph). I’ve been very happy with the handling in both dry and wet conditions. I drive my CX-9 fairly aggressively (which is one of the reasons I bought it). Just came back from South Lake Tahoe and drove up and down a driveway with 1-2 inches of snow cover and freshly plowed but slushy roads. No issues. ...Hold the road very well whether wet or dry, smooth and quiet...
Purchased these Firestone LE3 to replace the LE2 that originally came on my truck. Very happy with the LE3. 6K on them and they barely look worn. Hold the road very well whether wet or dry, smooth and quiet. Don’t drive off road or haven’t driven them on ice or snow - last winter saw no snow in the middle Atlantic states. Would definitely buy again.

...better than the Goodyear factory all season. Ride comfort improvement immediately...
From day 1 I can say these tires were better than the Goodyear factory all season. Ride comfort improvement immediately. No sliding on wet exit ramps with turns. Firestone outperforms the Goodyears in every driving condition. I have about 14,000 miles on the tires and they look and perform as new. I travel the expressway at 80 - 90 mph, pull a boat - 3,400 lbs, gas milage the same, quiet, and predictable. A great tire.

...Very pleased with the ride comfort, traction and noise levels. Have no complaints...
Read the reviews and ratings and tried these out. Very pleased with the ride comfort, traction and noise levels. Have no complaints. In fact, just purchased same for my daughters Ford Explorer. After three days she said "what a difference for the originals".
Can't wait to see them in snow. based upon reviews, possibly I do not have to put my dedicated snows on until later in the season.

Very good affordable tires. The only negative is treadwear. I bought the current set in September 2020, it is now October 2022 and they are just about at the wear bars. I commute about 80 miles a week in a mix of city/hwy, and when traveling on the hwy run about 75-80mph. They gave me about 25,000 miles and are probably good for another 5,000 but are starting to slip in damp or wet conditions, which to be fair, every tire I've had on this truck has done at this level of wear. I rarely have a heavy load in the bed and have pulled a car trailer at speed twice for a total of 1,200 miles. I chose these after running three sets of Generals, which were comparable, but the Firestone sidewalls hold up much better. The Generals have a thin black veneer which peels, exposing the white rubber underneath and looks terrible. I'll buy another set of Firestone for sure.

...They wear amazing, I looked at them last week and they still look new...
I like the Ride of this tire, literally made my truck behave better, sidewall feels stiffer, less wishy washy...perhaps better quality rubber or belt pattern? a smooth and quiet ride, much better than the Yoko Geolanders it came with. Better looks too, I like blackwall on my truck. They wear amazing, I looked at them last week and they still look new. I'll buy again, and the pricing was excellent at the time (1 year ago)...To me, these are worth the extra few bucks if you had to. I'm hard to impress, and these did it! Don't think twice if you're considering these, you'll be Glad you did!
