The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2—frequently known as the "BFG KO2"—is an Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire developed to meet the needs of jeep, pickup truck and sport utility vehicle drivers who want confidence and control on and off road. The All-Terrain T/A KO2 was designed by BFGoodrich to deliver go-anywhere traction along with outstanding durability, great wear and year-round traction, even in snow.

All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires feature a racing derived cut-, chip- and tear-resistant tread compound that delivers longer life (up to 2 times the previous generation tire's treadwear on gravel roads). The compound is molded into an aggressive, computer optimized, high-void all-terrain pattern with interlocking tread blocks, innovative siping and multiple loose object ejection features to combine off-road durability and traction with on-road handling and acceptable noise.

BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2Upper shoulder Sidewall Armor features a tougher sidewall rubber compound that's twice as thick as its predecessor and a Serrated Shoulder Design that delivers additional traction by providing the clawing action necessary to develop traction and steering control in deep dirt, sand or on rock during "aired down" off-road driving.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon on top of BFGoodrich's TriGard, 3-ply polyester cord sidewall ply construction (2 plies for Load Range C tires) for strength and durability.

Single strand beads (a single strand of bead wire is continuously wrapped multiple times until the desired strength is provided) enhance the tire's fit to the wheel to improve uniformity and ride quality.

NOTE: BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Michelin 4x4 Diamaris Reviews

Customer feedback data reveals strong dry traction (scores 8-10 dominate) and good wet performance for a summer truck tire, with many praising confident handling in dry conditions. Wet traction scores show variability (5-9), with some noting reduced hydroplaning resistance in heavy rain. Comfort receives praise for smooth ride quality (scores 6-10), though road noise divides opinions. Treadwear emerges as a key concern, with frequent low scores (0-5) suggesting shorter lifespan than expected for some users. While summer-focused performance meets expectations, the mixed durability ratings highlight potential trade-offs for drivers prioritizing long-term value over immediate grip capabilities.

...Excellent traction on wet and dry... Wet roads good hydroplaning resistance and traction when fast...

Purchased my 2001 X5 4.4i with Sports Package with these Diamaris 19 inchers. So far to my second set. My first set wore out at around 50k miles. I think this is pretty good quality. Havent had any punchures or damage. So far my second set is lasting 45k and expecting another 5k before replacement. The thread is pretty so far.

The handling is superb on these tires. Excellent traction on wet and dry. I would admit Im a fast driver usually going 70+ mph on the expressway. Have gone past 110 for a few minutes and very stable. Only that fast on dry roads of course. Wet roads good hydroplaning resistance and traction when fast. Driven in deep snow in sub-zero temperatures and still very good. Also have driven on dirt trails in Appalachian Mountains and good grip.

The confort isnt too superb, but I think its my sports suspension rather than the low profile on these tires that gives the harder rides.

Basically: Excellent wet and dry tractions. Get by-able snow traction. Never cared for noise, so not rating it. Good hyrdoplaning resistance. Amazing threadwear life.

Definitely recommended.

...Wet traction is very good, but hydroplaning is noticeable (but not really problematic) above 65mph on puddled areas of freeways. I suspect that is due to their large size, rather than tread design.

These tires are dedicated to my summer driving only. I have not tested their cornering limits given the vehicle (ML 430), but I am very impresed with their responsiveness, quiet, and ride quality. Wet traction is very good, but hydroplaning is noticeable (but not really problematic) above 65mph on puddled areas of freeways. I suspect that is due to their large size, rather than tread design. I would buy them again without hesitation.

The tire performs flawlessly in dry and wet conditions, but is piss-poor at best come minimal snow...

The diamaris 4x4 is a great OEM fitment on the BMW X5 4.6 iS. Mine is fitted with the Dinan stage 4 package with oversized brembos. The ride is a bit noisy, with chicago roads it is understandable. The tire performs flawlessly in dry and wet conditions, but is piss-poor at best come minimal snow. I have 275s in the front on 315s in the back. I am reluctant to take it out in snow, and will probably look for alternate set of tires for winter, or replace these (I love Michelins, and have ridden on them for the last 7 years in all my cars/trucks).

Treadwear is good, as expected.

...And in normal dry conditions they it astonishes me that an SUV handles and responds the way that they do with the Diamaris...

I had these tires on both of my X5s... an 01 4.4i and now the 03 4.6is.... I think that they as well as the suvs are truely amazing.... I have Michelin tires on M3 and love them as well... the truely amazing thing about the Diamaris is that contrary to popular belief I feel that they are very good in the snow.. of course they are not as good as a rerular 4x4 tire but for the size they are 20" on the 4.6is they do a very decent job in the snow.... And in normal dry conditions they it astonishes me that an SUV handles and responds the way that they do with the Diamaris... Yeah a bit pricey but if your buying an SUV that they make them for, it comes with the territory... and they are worth every penny.

...At 179 Mph, these tires kept my porsche solid and stapled to the ground... These tires stick help my new SUV stick to the ground on sharp corner turns just like the brightstone S-03 did for my Porsche GT-2.

My 20003/04 Porsche Cayanne Turbo was delievered last week ( April 18, 2003) at my dealership. Took my Vechile for a test run with these michelin tires on. At 179 Mph, these tires kept my porsche solid and stapled to the ground. The ride comfort totally exceeded my expectation. These tires stick help my new SUV stick to the ground on sharp corner turns just like the brightstone S-03 did for my Porsche GT-2. Im glad that Ive took the time to discuss this tire matter with the sales representative before I ordered my Porsche. $345 per tire is definitely a good deal for me considering the preformance and comfort benefits

...Despite their rediculous price, they are a comfortable tire for this size... 315/35/20 (R) 275/40/20 (F)...

This is 10,000 on my 2nd set. The original set lasted 30,000 until they were to the wear bars and tire to replace. I don't typically run tires that low, but these were so pricey I wanted to get as many miles as possible out of them. Despite their rediculous price, they are a comfortable tire for this size... 315/35/20 (R) 275/40/20 (F). Can't really complain and didn't expect them to last the first 30,000 that they did. Thumbs up for a specialty tire of this size!

I have never noticed any perceptible road noise and although the ride is firm, I cant tell if it is the tire or the sports suspension (probably a combination of both)...

I have a 2001 BMW X5 with the sport package and I am on my third set of these tires. The first two sets went 60k miles and the third set has 40k on them and will probably last another 5K. The traction and wear for a V rated tire on a heavy SUV without the ability to roatate the tires (because of the staggered rim/tire size) is amazing. I have never noticed any perceptible road noise and although the ride is firm, I cant tell if it is the tire or the sports suspension (probably a combination of both). I am sorry to see that this tire is being discontinued and replaced with the Latitude so this review is probably too late, but all I can say is for 7 years Ive been happy with this tire and I would buy Michelin again in a heart beat.

...The Michelins ride softer, making for a better ride on uneven roads that have manhole covers, patched potholes, uneven lips between sidewalks and streets, etc... They feel softer on the sidewalls as well and appear to have less tire width in contact with the pavement due to their more rounded sidewalls...

Replaced the OEM Goodyear Eagle RSAs on my 2006 Chevrolet Trailerblazer SS AWD with Michelin 4x4 Diamaris because the selection of tires in 255/50/20 size is not very big. The Michelins ride softer, making for a better ride on uneven roads that have manhole covers, patched potholes, uneven lips between sidewalks and streets, etc... They feel softer on the sidewalls as well and appear to have less tire width in contact with the pavement due to their more rounded sidewalls. In hard cornering, they tend to grip better than the RSAs but will make a terrible screeching noise bringing you bad looks from other people nearby whereas the Goodyear RSAs would just slide out laterally. There appears to be a lot of exposed rubber where the tire meets the wheel as if the rim should come out more on the tire, I dont know if that is normal but it looks wrong. In hard braking test from an offramp, the vehicle tended to no longer brake in as much of a controlled straight line as it did before with the RSAs. Have not yet tested in the rain or snow environments and so far have 100 miles on them.

These tires are the worst wearing tires I've ever owned and I'm very dissapointed that these are the OEM tires. I have a fleet of 22 vehicles and have never seen tires wear so fast. To get less than 15,000 miles out of a set of tires that cost over $1,200 after mounting etc. is a joke...

These tires are OEM. Had to have them road force balanced due to out of roundness from day one. Ended up having steering shimmy because of this. Dealer put "best" two on front of vehicle to minimize issues. Cannot rotate tires becasue the out of roundness issue and the shimmy it causes. These tires are way too noisy, especially for the cost.

I have dedicated Michelin snow tires for this vehicle I bought at Tire Rack and I prefer them in every catagory; especially for ride confort and quietness. When these OEM summer tires need to be replaced, I will go with another tire eventhough I have bought Michelins many times in the past.
