The Cinturato P7 Run Flat tires are Pirelli's Ultra High Performance Summer run-flat tire developed for the drivers of sport coupes, sedans and crossover vehicles. Cinturato P7 Run Flat tires feature Pirelli's Self-Supporting Run Flat Technology that enhances safety and convenience by providing temporary extended mobility in the event a puncture allows complete loss of air pressure. Pirelli's Self-Supporting Run Flat Technology allows tires to literally "run flat" for up to 50 miles at 50 mph (80 km at 80 km/h) unless otherwise specified by the vehicle manufacturer for Original Equipment tires. Pirelli's warranty does not cover tires that develop compound cracking due to use in ambient temperatures below 45° Fahrenheit (7° Celsius), so the Cinturato P7 Run Flat tires, like all summer tires, are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

The Cinturato P7 Run Flat's unique combination of qualities have been made possible by Pirelli's Green Performance approach to developing products offering a synergy of driving pleasure, performance, safety and respect of the environment. The Pirelli Ecoimpact icons on the sidewalls of Cinturato P7 Run Flat tires highlight their contribution to the environment with regards to energy efficiency, clean air, low noise and long wear.

The Cinturato P7 Run Flat uses a low rolling resistance tread compound that features technologically advanced polymers to increase grip on wet and dry roads while it reduces vehicle fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that promotes even wear, improves ride comfort and reduces noise levels. A robust shoulder and continuous ribs on the outboard portion of the tire enhance lateral grip on dry roads while four circumferential channels provide efficient expulsion of water from the contact patch to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by nylon cap plies to provide high speed-durability. Pirelli's extended mobility solution is made possible by their MIRS computer-controlled robotized manufacturing system, a production process that assures consistency in the application of the additional sidewall reinforcements that provide the self-supporting run-flat capability.

Note: Cinturato P7 Run Flat tires are designed and produced using eco-focused manufacturing methods and feature low rolling resistance (LRR) compounds and constructions to enhance the vehicle fuel economy of their Original Equipment applications. These tires are identified as such with Pirelli's Ecoimpact designation on their Sizes and Specs pages.

Though they cannot be labeled as run-flat tires, tires branded with MOExtended or MOE on their sidewalls offer run-flat-like characteristics by delivering limited temporary extended mobility after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure. Because MOExtended or MOE tires do not have the same speed and distance endurance of conventional run-flat tires, they should not be substituted in any situation where a conventional run-flat tire is required. To confirm what your vehicle needs, check our Original Equipment tire listing for your year, make and model or see your vehicle owner's manual.

Pirelli Cinturato P7 Run Flat Reviews

Customer feedback data reveals strong dry traction (8-10 scores) with precise steering and confident cornering, excelling in summer conditions. Wet traction receives consistent praise (7-10 scores) for reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance. Comfort shows mixed results: many highlight a smooth, quiet ride (7-10 scores), while others report harshness or noise (3-6 scores). Treadwear ratings vary widely, with some customers noting premature wear (0-5 scores) and others reporting durability (7-10 scores). As an ultra-high-performance summer tire, it delivers on core dry/wet capabilities, though treadlife experiences depend on usage patterns. Noise and comfort trade-offs align with typical performance priorities for this category.

...just ok in the wet...

Pretty good tires, but wear quickly
Quite and comfortable, not great for spirited driving, just ok in the wet, hoping to get a few more miles but already starting to shop for the next set

...Tires seem pretty good in the wet.

It's a tough tire. Been forced across some road debris and pot holes at speed. No damage. Performance is great, but I live in Florida -- no ice or snow. Tires seem pretty good in the wet.

...As far as run flats go, in my experience they're not the worst I've had for dry traction and steering... The one category these tires can perform acceptably at is strictly dry traction in spirited driving...

I’m getting ready to swap this set out for some winter tires and I won’t be putting these back on again. As far as run flats go, in my experience they’re not the worst I’ve had for dry traction and steering. However, they have felt completely unsafe in wet conditions. They hydroplane so frequently that I will avoid the interstate or highway when it’s raining. The road noise is slightly less than other run-flats I’ve had, but the improvement is marginal at best and is still surprisingly louder than the non-run flat tires I have on my other E class (sedan version). The one category these tires can perform acceptably at is strictly dry traction in spirited driving. But, comfort, road noise, wet traction, and tread life are all very poor. I have 10,000 miles on these tires and they’re more than halfway gone. If you need a run flat tire you’re limited on choices, but I would suggest switching to Michelin instead. I have had the pilot sports, and while they are just a little less “sticky” feeling in very aggressive driving, they are noticeably quieter/softer riding. Still firmer than a non-run flat of course but my opinion is that they felt better. Come next summer I have decided I will be opting for a standard tire and adding the factory spare to the wagon.

I love these tires for their dry performance...

I have driven a total of 5,000 miles on these tires and have had to replace a total of 4 tires now due to bulging and blowouts. I love these tires for their dry performance, but in terms of driving them in weather and poorly maintained public roads, I would not reccomend. Potholes will destroy these tires much worse than other tires. However if you're not concerned about the above, these tires are pretty good!

...Overall performance in spirited driving in dry and slightly spirited driving in wet... is reasonably good but not the absolute best. The tires give sufficient grip to drive on an exit or entrance ramp at 60 mph speed limit of the highway. Stopping performance is fine...

This tire is reasonably good. There is actually little choice in run flat tires of the size that I need. I have driven on a Tire Rack non-run flat tire of a different size on another car that was far better than this tire but it's not available in the size I need now.

Overall performance in spirited driving in dry and slightly spirited driving in wet (I drive more cautiously in wet for safety reasons) is reasonably good but not the absolute best. The tires give sufficient grip to drive on an exit or entrance ramp at 60 mph speed limit of the highway. Stopping performance is fine. When new, these tires are only slightly quiet, not really quiet like the performance tire of another brand that is not made in the size that I need. These Pirellis have better dry and wet driving performance than the all season Pirelli tires of the same name (P7) but the all season can probably handle low temperatures better.

Treadwear more or less is as expected by its treadwear rating so no surprises for me.

...They are much quieter, deliver a comfortable ride, and provide better mileage without sacrificing any performance that I can discern...

I've had these on my car now for over a year. I absolutely love these tires over the factory Dunlop tires. They are much quieter, deliver a comfortable ride, and provide better mileage without sacrificing any performance that I can discern. I live in the PNW and I have also been pleased with the wet handling of this tire. I also notice far less squirm on grooved freeway pavement than with the Dunlop tires. I have had to do a few emergency maneuvers (avoidance, panic stopes) and these tires performed confidently under those conditions. All that said, I am not an aggressive driver and have never gone a track, so my opinion should be tempered by that.

I definitely plan to stick with these tires for the next replacement cycle.
