The Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico is Pirelli's Street/Sport Truck All-Season tire developed for the North American market to be used on powerful crossover and sport utility vehicles, as well as pickups possessing very sporting dispositions. Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico tires are designed for drivers looking for style, handling and traction for America's dry, wet and wintry conditions, even including occasional light snow.
The Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico radial's high performance all-season tread compound provides progressive grip when cornering. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that features a notched outboard shoulder rib to enhance steering response, cornering stability and high-speed precision. Special Z-profile intermediate tread blocks flank a continuous center rib to blend foul-weather traction with acoustic comfort while wide circumferential grooves evacuate water to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to enhance handling and high-speed durability.
Limited sizes of the Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.
Note: Size 295/40R22 Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico MO1 (Mercedes Original Equipment) is not branded with the M+S symbol, nor intended to be serviced, stored or driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

...In wet conditions, especially when in the first 40k, I had absolute confidence. While other SUV's were slowing down, I charged ahead unfazed by the weather...
I have had superior results from the OEM Pirellis. I have admittedly ran them to the nubs, but I am only now replacing them with the same. I note that one other reviewer experienced an annoying but fleeting issue, namely that for the first few miles on cool or cold days that the tires vibrate harshly, but it disappears in a few minutes and despite extensive amount of rebalancing and realigning, no issues were found with the truck. A strange but very allowable fault. If you are a sunbelt resident who rarely sees snow, do yourself a favor and outfit your truck with these beauties. Dry performance is outstanding - when people drive this truck they literally comment on how fantastic the ride is. In wet conditions, especially when in the first 40k, I had absolute confidence. While other SUV's were slowing down, I charged ahead unfazed by the weather. I understand they are pricey, but compared to your vehicle, it is a great investment.

...Performance is breath taking, with remarkable grip in cornering (even in wet conditions), take-off drive, responsiveness, stability...there is just not another tire that I have ever driven on that put so much power to the pavement (and kept it there!!!)...
For a driver like me, who doesnt get off the beaten path, because I want to be seen...in the hottest ride, the Scorpion Zero is unparalled in every category (even the ones you cant rate)! Performance is breath taking, with remarkable grip in cornering (even in wet conditions), take-off drive, responsiveness, stability...there is just not another tire that I have ever driven on that put so much power to the pavement (and kept it there!!!). The unrated category is that the Scorpion Zeros looks and appeal completely enhance the vehicles sex appeal. They are as much a styling enhancement at the 22" rims they ride on. The same tires are on my truck, that are on Formula One race cars (the winners cars at least)...yeah you gotta love that too!

Acquired this vehicle/tire at 13k and was not rotated during that time. Proper PSI and 7500mi rotation after. Dry traction/comfort very good. Wet traction is good. felt in control. Noise is not intrusive but always know it there. Could have gotten over 50k+ had it been maintained from the start.

...I've been in deep snow, light snow, and ice as well. The tires have been better then expected in all cases...
I'm a dedicated snow tire user typically but I thought I'd give these tires a try this winter and I'm glad I did. I do have AWD, anti lock breaks, traction control, etc.... and these tires have been great overall. I've been in deep snow, light snow, and ice as well. The tires have been better then expected in all cases. I would definitely buy these again. I don't know if I'll risk a second winter, but I wouldn't with any all season. I may try it with these as they are wearing very well so far. They still seem like new after 11k miles.

...I also tested them in a snow blizzard one winter and they handled fairly deep snow without any noticeable issues...
We bought these tires for my wife's SUV a couple of years ago and we have been very happy with them. The ride is quiet and comfortable yet they offer a very confident cornering stability in all road conditions and driving situations. As an amateur race car driver I like to test my car's limits from time to time and I gotta tell you, these tires never disappointed me. I also tested them in a snow blizzard one winter and they handled fairly deep snow without any noticeable issues. As for treadwear, even after 20k miles on them, the tires feel as good as new. A definite winner, which I recommend highly.

...Highly recommend plus sizing to these tires for a comfortable ride with excellent dry weather traction.
I increased the size slightly from a 40 to 45 profile. These tires are remarkably smooth compared to the OE Michelins. I also purchased a set of Cooper LTZs, same size, which are way too agressive (very noisy with a rough ride due to the off-road design) for on-road use. Highly recommend plus sizing to these tires for a comfortable ride with excellent dry weather traction.

...I can say that the dry traction is far above average. I am disappointed in every other aspect of this tire...
These were the factory tires on my truck. I can say that the dry traction is far above average. I am disappointed in every other aspect of this tire. First off the wet weather traction on these tires with my vehicle was down right scary. I would slip and slide everywhere, and they would hydroplane with the slightest amount of water. It got to the point that I would not drive it on wet pavement. I am also disappointed with the life of the tires. I only got 25,600 miles out of the set. I rotated every 4,000 miles and it did not help at all. I know my truck is powerful but I drive like a little old lady so I know that the wear was not from an over aggressive lead foot. My truck had a very slight vibration that I could not get rid of until I replaced the tires. I spoke with my brother in-law (who is a mechanic for the local Jaguar / Land Rover dealer) and he said that he has run across the same issues on some of the vehicles that have come into the shop. They normally end up switching out the Pirelli tire with Good Year to solve the problem I just switch to a Bridgestone tire. Hopefully they will last longer. I know that the vibration I had is know gone.

...The Michelins were very good tires but I feel like these Scorpions are a bit better in the traction department... The AA traction rating is no joke either...
I replaced a set of Michelin Pilot LTXs with these Scorpion Zeros. The Michelins were very good tires but I feel like these Scorpions are a bit better in the traction department. I cant comment on the tread wear yet but if they last 55,000 miles like the Michelins did then Id be very happy since these Scorpions cost $40 less a tire. The AA traction rating is no joke either. They got me stopped in a hurry in the rain on the freeway the other day without the antilocks coming into play. Thats something the OEM Goodyear RSAs and the Michellin Pilot LTXs couldnt do when new or old. I hope the hot Texas summers and lots of horsepower dont kill these tires. The bottom line is they look good, grip like no tomorrow, they have a very good price, and a very impressive AA traction and 420 treadwear rating. I cant say anthing bad about them.

...Very stable, quiet, comfortable and even wearing tire, although with 4/32 of tread left they are becoming noisy...
OEM Tires. 35,000 miles of city & highway miles. Very stable, quiet, comfortable and even wearing tire, although with 4/32 of tread left they are becoming noisy. Very limited snow and ice experience with these tires due to geographic location. Replacing them with the exact tire -- which for me is unusual. Great tires IMO!

These were OEM on my car. Great tires when combined with Audi 4WD. Mostly used for city driving, but took a few extended trips. Quiet and comfortable. No problems on wet, light snow and ice. Good cornering stability, but could track better down the road. The Q7 eats tires, so 25K isn't too bad. Reading reviews now to decided if I stay with these or try another.

...Dry weather is good and treadwear is simply phenominal. With >500hp and a love of donuts I can still get considerably more than 22k miles from them. I would estimate 30k miles before they are toast.
Not sure if its the truck or the tires (my bet is truck) but wet weather handling is truly evil. Dry weather is good and treadwear is simply phenominal. With >500hp and a love of donuts I can still get considerably more than 22k miles from them. I would estimate 30k miles before they are toast.

...Tire wear, all i could say they are far superior to any other performance tired I had in my life!...
These tire were OEM, even with 4 motion traction these tired performed very well. never had a problem with them. They stick to the road and hardly any noise in tight curve. Tire wear, all i could say they are far superior to any other performance tired I had in my life! In hi speed, they are predictable, feel safe. But to be honnest the Tiguan intelligent traction control help a lot to avoid loosing traction and the spinning is "zero" In fact the first time a drove on a light coat of snow i couldn't feel the difference in traction until I brake (slow down!!) So with all this I hope you understand the good match with the 4 wheel motion of VW.
