The Pinza AT is Vredestein's On-Road All-Terrain tire designed for the drivers of pickup trucks, crossovers and full-size SUVs looking for a tire with off-road capabilities that retains its on-road comfort and stability. By blending traditional all-terrain design elements with highway-centric features, the Pinza AT aims to provide traction in a variety of difficult road conditions, including light snow traction that meets the tire industry's severe snow service rating requirements and earns the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
Utilizing a computer-aided design, the Pinza AT's four groove tread pattern is built to provide a rugged, off-road look that retains respectable road manners. The multi-pitched pattern employs aggressive biting edges in the shoulder elements along with a higher void ratio for good loose-surface grip. Full depth siping and large zig zag circumferential grooves help increase wet weather traction and hydroplaning resistance for enhanced confidence in wet and wintry weather.
The internal construction of the Pinza AT features either a robust 2-ply casing in Euro Metric sizes or a 3-ply Triplex Casing design in LT Metric sizes featuring Vredestein's Jointless Hexabead Technology for severe duty endurance. The twin steel belts utilize edge protectors and are capped with a nylon ply for enhanced high-speed composure.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...Much better wet traction than previous tires as well...
Great quality tire for a very reasonable price! Absolutely quiet and honestly can't tell a difference in noise from my factory touring tire. Much better wet traction than previous tires as well. Very smooth and responsive and from the small amount of off road driving to date it appears they will be very solid.

...They haven't seen any snow yet but so far they have been excellent in the dry and wet...
I was happy to see Vredelstein had snow rated tires for my truck. I’ve had this brand before on several cars. They haven’t seen any snow yet but so far they have been excellent in the dry and wet. The ride is smooth and quieter than the AT3’s they replaced.

...I've also used the tire in the snow. It was great. No traction issues and was able to climb steep hills (in 4WD) without any lost of traction...
Really pleased with the tire. It's perfect for my needs as I seldom go off-road, but when I do, I need my tires to perform. I've driven down some moderate two track Jeep roads and the tire worked great, even climbing steep embankments. I've also used the tire in the snow. It was great. No traction issues and was able to climb steep hills (in 4WD) without any lost of traction.
On road the tire is really good. Not as good as a dedicated street tire, but for an AT tire, it's impressive. There is some noise, but not bad. Really only noticeable when applying the brakes. I haven't had any issues in the rain other than spinning the rear tires a bit, but that's expected in a pickup with no weight over the rear tires.
Overall, I'm really pleased. It's a great compromise tire. Works well in all conditions. Treadwear seems to be good too as I don't notice any wear so far.

I installed these tires in summer and haven't experienced wet or snowy conditions yet. The dry traction, stability, quietness, and smoothness are exceptional - especially for an all terrain tire. I recently took a 1400 mile road trip with posted speed limits from 65 to 80 - with actual speeds a wee bit higher. And, passing speeds approached triple digits several times. These tires instilled confidence. I'm very happy with my purchase and greatly appreciate Tire Rack's objective/subjective video evaluations, without which I'd have never noticed these.

...Over the summer I took the van on tons of forest service roads while camping and trail running and had no problem accessing anywhere I wanted to go...
This tire has served me well so far. I got the set before last winter and had a great experience driving them all over the Colorado mountains chasing the snow to ski every weekend. They got up a steep, snow packed driveway in Breckenridge that gave other vehicles trouble when we rented a place after New Years. I haven't gotten stuck in the snow anywhere with these tires yet. I have put my chains on a couple of times when going up steeper, icy roads, but that's it. This winter the performance seems to be just as solid as last winter. Over the summer I took the van on tons of forest service roads while camping and trail running and had no problem accessing anywhere I wanted to go. I probably haven't tested these like someone with a more off-road capable vehicle like a truck or jeep, but I've put them through the wringer of what I can with my van build out.
Other notes:
1. I went with this tire over some of the other A/T options out there based on the price and general reviews and couldn't be happier. At the time I purchased them they were significantly less expensive than other popular A/T tires and so far they have proven to be a bargain for the performance. Given that I will probably purchase these tires again when I'm due for my next set of tires in a few years. It saves me having to run summer highway and winter tires, plus they are better for the camping and other activities I enjoy.
2. These tires run quietly and tread noise is not a factor. They are much quieter than the stock highway tires that came with the van and nearly as quiet as the Michelins that cost double of these.
3. I haven't noticed a hit to the mileage I get with the van over highway tires. Colder temps, mountain driving, and the amount of time I spend idling, on highways or on dirt roads plays a much bigger factor for me.

Very pleased with the ride quality, low noise, directional stability, cornering, and breaking...
Very pleased with the ride quality, low noise, directional stability, cornering, and breaking. Have not yet driven in deep snow, but in light snow (1-3 inches), traction is very good. The traction on wet pavement, in pouring rain is also very good. I am also very pleased with the speed of delivery and ease of making appointment to have tires installed at the Tire Rack recommended dealer. I think these excellent tires and are an excellent value.

...No noise at all, and a very comfortable ride...
Wasn't sure about these tires at first. After looking over the reviews and testing, thought I would give them a try. Unbelievable!! These are GREAT tires. No noise at all, and a very comfortable ride. Quality is great too. No problems at all. If you are on the fence about these, jump over it. You will not be sorry.

Comfort was the primary purpose for purchasing these tires, since my old Land Rover with twin solid beam axles and 2 inch lift kit with my oversized regular off-road tires (General AT) produced a jarring ride, even on our city streets, that I had always accepted as inevitable. The comparison test by Tire Rack of these new and largely untested Vredestein tires against highly rated competitors emphasized their quiet and well controlled ride qualities as well as excelling on wet roads. I took a chance, switched over and noticed the difference as soon as I left the tire shop...
I took a chance, switched over and noticed the difference as soon as I left the tire shop. They are quiet, very soft riding but grip to provide prompt steering responses and controlled stops. This is an early review during a hot, dry spring and summer, so I can't comment on wet roads. They are beefy enough to handle casual off-roading. I'm not a rock climber or purposely seek out mud. For those who do, other specialty tires would be more appropriate, but at the price of ride quality. For light or moderate snow I think they would do well. For heavy winter conditions in Wyoming, especially when ice is involved, I rely on studded snow tires. In essence, these tires are handsome, appear aggressive (I'd never shod my Land Rover in plain highway tires) but provide a whole new level of comfort that I never thought possible. There are a lot of unknowns, including anticipated mileage, but if these need replacement before my high-mileage bites the dust, I'll make the same choice. These are outstanding tires!

...so quiet like a touring tire and it's as if I also installed new shocks at the same time as these tires absorb every road crack and seam...
I moved from Toyo Open Country AT2 into these Vredestein AT. I thought it was going to be a downgrade. Not so fast. Although these Vredestein AT tires do not have that ultra-aggressive side wall look, their performance is top-shelf. Oh so quiet like a touring tire and it's as if I also installed new shocks at the same time as these tires absorb every road crack and seam. I'd say if you need a tire for frequent wet roads these are for you and the snow traction is also a step up from the non-3PMS Toyo tires. The very best value in an All-terrain tire ever.

The Vredestein Pinza AT shows excellent treadwear, with most customers scoring 9s and 10s for long-lasting durability. While some ratings land in the 7-8 range, these still reflect strong performance for an on-road all-terrain tire, suggesting reliable wear resistance across varied driving conditions.

very good treadwear...
very good treadwear. A little bit of road noise but not too bad. aggressive tread feels a bit rough vibration on very smooth road surfaces. Overall, a pretty good tire compared to the Michelin or BF Goodrich tires I previously had

...great road trip performance and towing, great treadlife, great for general off-roading.
I love my Pinza's! It has been a wonderful year round tire for the Colorado mountains. Not a Blizzak in the snow but works for most Colorado winter conditions, I do wish there was a touch more winter grip for stopping on ice and snow. In 4Wheel usually no problems, just can't stop fast on snow/ ice like a true winter tire, but most everywhere else it excels. Great road trip performance and towing, great treadlife, great for general off-roading. Excellent dry and wet road performance.
