The HPZ-02 is Advanta's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire. Available in a wide range of sizes and rim diameters, it’s ideal for used-car reconditioning or for drivers of sporty coupes and sedans seeking a competent on-road handling, a low noise profile, and performance all year round.

The HPZ-02 features an all-season compound that's been molded into a mild asymmetric tread pattern with large shoulder blocks designed for improved cornering and dry traction. The broad contact patch offers further stability at highway speeds or for the unexpected maneuvers of daily travel. Quad circumferential grooves feed into lateral notches to evacuate water from the contact patch to resist hydroplaning. The shoulders utilize large, independent blocks and notches that, in combination, provide additional traction for wet and wintry weather.

Advanta HPZ-02 Reviews

User feedback reveals the Advanta HPZ-02 excels in dry traction, with scores consistently 9-10 for confident cornering and responsive handling. Wet performance is also strong, with hydroplaning resistance rated 8-10, though a few note moderate grip in heavy rain. Winter traction (6-8 range) is solid for an all-season tire, handling light snow adequately but showing limitations on ice. Comfort scores 8-10 highlight a smooth, quiet ride, while treadwear ratings (8-10) suggest durability for daily driving. While not a dedicated winter tire, its balanced all-season capabilities and reliable dry/wet performance make it a well-rounded choice for drivers prioritizing year-round usability.

...During the heavy raining season in california i purposely tried spinning out the vehicle in a safe area and tires would not lose traction easily and would grip on the first chance (With all safety features off mind you). I daily drive my vehicle and have not had any issues with the tires so far. Soon after installing I whent on an 400 mile emergency trip into the Los Angeles area and tehy preformed like any new tire would. During the heavy raining season in california i purposely tried spinning out the vehicle in a safe area and tires would not loose traction easily and would grip on the first chance (With all safety features off mind you). And have at times turned corners a little hard and the vehicle would not lose grip on cold tires.

As for handling/comfort i cant really compare as its set up with a bit of camber for better cornering and a few other bits like solid motor mounts that I cant really complain about.

Im no tire connoisseur but these are pretty good for a budget tire and a good competition for the Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 i had before.

Tires offer no curb rash protection, but they are great tires in every other regard. They just got me through the worst winter storm we've had in years and never lost traction. A+

I just needed a cheap summer tire as I have snow tires that I put on my car every fall. But I did not have the time this year to put the snow tires on so I drove all winter with these tires and they definitely exceeded my expectations for the winter weather here in upstate NY. I will absolutely purchase these again when it's time. I still have quite a bit of tread left on them and I am thinking I can get another year out of them. If you're on a budget and looking for a great reliable tire, these are definitely a good choice and will not disappoint!

Tyres provide a quiet and smooth ride while allowing for very good drip and traction on dry roads and acceptable performance on more slick surfaces (wet and compacted snow).

...They handle well to my surprise when cornering...

I think these tires are underrated, they have a nice quality look and comfortable ride to them vs the Michelins Primacy’s that came with the Accords. They handle well to my surprise when cornering. I’m not an aggressive driver by any means but very satisfied with them overall.

...But it handles very well and has very good tread life.

Because of the low profile of the tire, it is not a soft ride, and it is somewhat noisy as you reach 60 mph. But it handles very well and has very good tread life.

...We will see how the tread holds up over time, but right now I am a fan.. Seem to be a great tire for the money!

I am really impressed with these tires so far.. Just over 1000 miles on them, they have a nice smooth, fairly quiet ride. I tried them in the rain last night and was blown away by how they resisted hydroplaning. Really stable at highway speeds through big puddles and standing water.. We will see how the tread holds up over time, but right now I am a fan.. Seem to be a great tire for the money!
