The WeatherPeak is Bridgestone's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans, crossovers, SUVs and minivans who are looking for luxurious comfort and reliable performance built to inspire confidence for any season, any weather, and any journey. The WeatherPeak was built as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements qualifying for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance. It is designed to be a one-tire solution for drivers in environments that experience all four seasons, but don't receive sufficient snowfall or icy conditions to require a dedicated winter tire.
The durable, all-season compound is molded into a symmetric pattern to provide traction in variable conditions. Evolving sipes in the central ribs help ensure tread element stiffness for predictable steering response and become usable biting edges for slippery conditions as the tire wears. The large shoulder blocks generate sure-footed dry cornering characteristics and feature generous lateral notches that help evacuate water from the footprint in dynamic handling scenarios. Wide circumferential grooves promote hydroplaning resistance and feature Snow Vices for enhanced grip in slush and snow, helping deliver the traction needed to receive the 3PMSF symbol.
Internal construction of the WeatherPeak features a single-ply polyester casting supporting two steel belts. A nylon reinforcement is added for enhanced high-speed stability and performance.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

A seriously impressive tire at handling snow, even deeper snow. Really does perform like a winter tire. Exceeded my expectations.
Dry and wet performances are also excellent. Ride is very comfortable and a huge upgrade over the OEM Toyo A36.

I have owned this tire for about 1.5 months now. The Reno, NV area has experienced some of the heaviest snow and ice conditions that I have seen in the twenty years that I have lived here, shades of why we left the snow belt of Western New York and lake effect snow storms. My Bridgestone Weather Peaks have not disappointed me in any way in all driving conditions. I highly reccomend this tire and the service I received from Taggart at Tire Rack, along with the expert installation from Discount Tire here in Reno.

...Dry traction performance similar to wet. Does reduce gas mileage significantly from the factory original low resistance tires, i.e. 4-5mpg, at least at standard 35psi pressure...
This is early in the game, so some attributes have not been tested, e.g. wear-and-tear, snow and gas mileage with extra-inflation of tires.
There are three components to review- the tires, purchase on Tire Rack, install experience.
Tires, Very smooth and quiet, right out of the box. Nice steering- not too loose and not too precise, right in the middle. Very good traction in wet. Glides along almost like floating. I have not yet tested in heavy, sustained rain yet. Dry traction performance similar to wet. Does reduce gas mileage significantly from the factory original "low resistance" tires, i.e. 4-5mpg, at least at standard 35psi pressure. I have not tested yet at 38-40psi.
No test on anything winter, no indication on treadwear or how long tire retains its characteristics yet. Overall, these reminds me of Turanza Quiettrack without the 500 mile break-in period for noise.
Tire Rack, Best objective information in the business about tires; customer service connected to the company and to the customer. High marks. Pretty good on shipping tires promptly and fresh tires, too (less than 6 months old).

...So far I'm observing 10% better fuel economy and far better ride comfort...
I was looking for an all-season touring tire with low rolling resistance, comfortable ride, low noise, lightweight but durable construction, and reasonably long tread-life. I wanted to smooth out the ride and improve the fuel economy of my Volvo. I went from 245/40R18 XL 97Y BF g-Force COMP-2 A/S PLUS @ 41/38PSI front/rear (a 51lb wheel package), to 215/60R16 SL 95V Bridgestone Weatherpeaks @36/33PSI front/rear (a 39lb wheel package). So far I'm observing 10% better fuel economy and far better ride comfort. Handling, steering, and braking on dry roads is comparable to touring all-season 55-65 series tires. I did notice a drop in dry-road grip and responsiveness compared to the very sporty, soft compound, low profile reinforced sidewall COMP-2 tires, but that was to be expected going from a 40 series XL to a 60 series SL regardless of other factors. These come with the added benefit of a rubber compound and tread siping that manages a 3PMSF level of ice/snow traction. For heavy snow days I'll take my SUV with studded A/T tires so I wasn't looking for a top performer in that category but wanted a better margin for safety on those days that we get an unexpected blast of ice/snow on the evening commute home. This is an "all-weather" tire that maintains most of the desirable characteristics of an all-season touring.
I'll check back in with an update when I have more miles and some ice/snow/slush/rain observations.

...All I wanted was a quiet and comfortable ride. I got both. I could not believe the difference...
Coming from a set of Goodyear Assurance with 80k and still a good ways to the wear marks, these tires were night and day. All I wanted was a quiet and comfortable ride. I got both. I could not believe the difference. I did come from tires with an awful lot of miles on them so I could have had the same results with most of the top tires on the list. I will say that I lost about 3 to 4 mpg but I think that is because I am getting a more true match with my speedometer with new tires. I’m still getting 48 to 50 mpg but I’m easy on this car. I’ve been through some heavy and windy rain storms with great stability. I have about 5k on these tires which isn’t enough to try and convince anyone that this tire is a must buy but so far I am extremely happy with my purchase. I wouldn’t have wrote this post if I didn’t.

...Wear has been better than expected despite the softer compound and highway driving...
Great Subaru Outback upgrade for drivers who frequently navigate inclement weather. Confident, engaged traction in rain and snow takes full advantage of the symmetrical AWD system. Smooth, supple, compliant ride in dry conditions, without a significant performance sacrifice. Wear has been better than expected despite the softer compound and highway driving. Was on the fence on the Michelin CC2's, but glad I went with the Bridgestones. Would not hesitate to buy these again.

...I'm not keeping any tire for 70,000 miles so people saying tread wear quickly probably aggressive drivers...
First Bridgestones I’ve ever had a got em cause friend recommended them . They quiet … smooth ride … outstanding in rain which is great for me cause I’ve had tires that didn’t feel like the were gripping road . These are best tires I’ve ever owned . People giving em bad review must be hard on tires . I’m not agressive driver unless I’m in city driving . What I like most is how secure and safe these tires make me feel ! I’m not keeping any tire for 70,000 miles so people saying tread wear quickly probably aggressive drivers …

...With my previous wheel prisons, I'd slide when a grasshopper farted, but no longer am I confined by the southeastern snow yeti...
Back in the blizzard of’24, the East TN region ground to a halt as Jack Frost laid down a people’s elbow of snow and ice on the unsuspecting folks there. Over night, the green mountains and valleys were placed in the death grip of Queen Elsa’s wrath. Normally , my rear wheel drive chariot would have been a cocooned in the garage, more useless than a horse in the ocean. Fortuitously, I purchased these car kicks and the snowy skies parted, the snow and ice disappeared from the roads, and I surmounted every steep road and driveway back home.
With my previous wheel prisons, I’d slide when a grasshopper farted, but no longer am I confined by the southeastern snow yeti. Thank you Bridgestone!
