The S FIT AS is Laufenn's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed to meet the needs of sports car, sporty coupe and performance sedan driving enthusiasts looking for tires with handling performance and all-season traction combined with quiet and smooth driving on all road conditions. The S FIT AS is designed to provide responsive handling and predictable traction in wet, dry and wintry conditions, even in light snow.

S FIT AS tires mold an ultra high performance all-season compound into an asymmetric tread design. Tie bars connect the shoulder blocks to improve dry road handling and promote even wear while Multi-Tread Radius Technology optimizes the tire's contact patch, further reducing the likelihood of irregular wear patterns. Four wide circumferential grooves and streamlined intermediate notches designed with 3D hydroplaning simulation technology help evacuate water while multiple sipes increase the number of biting edges to generate traction in light snow.

The Laufenn S FIT AS tire's internal structure includes two wide, steel belts reinforced with a jointless nylon full cover to improve high-speed handling and durability. A single strand bead wire improves bead uniformity to optimize ride quality, and the high-hardness bead filler is designed to improve handling and steering response.

Customers Say

Ratings highlight excellence in dry traction (8-10 scores) with precise cornering and responsive handling, fitting the ultra-high-performance focus. Wet traction earns consistent praise (7-10) for grip and hydroplaning resistance, though a few note variability in heavy rain. Winter traction shows split feedback: many report reliable light-snow performance (7-9), but ice traction raises concerns (0-5 scores). Comfort receives strong marks (7-10) for smoothness and low noise. Treadwear ratings (7-10) suggest durability aligns with all-season expectations. While most customers praise balanced performance, winter limitations on ice remind users to consider climate needs.

...As far as snow and wet traction goes, these are solid performers. there is some hydro planning/understeer if you push too hard in the corners, but regular driving, the car is gripping with all its might...

I am a bit of a car enthusiast, and as such, like to push my car hard in different environments. These tires are amazing for the price. My car is FWD, and these tires really help eliminate understeer at speed. Even when cornering hard, there's been almost no noticeable understeer. I plan on getting a set of these for my Evolution VIII, I like them that much! As far as snow and wet traction goes, these are still solid performers. there is some hydro planning/understeer if you push too hard in the corners, but regular driving, the car is gripping with all its might. All in all, this a fantastic tire for the price you pay. highly recommended for someone on a budget!

...Wet roads are uninteresting with these tires, they just work...

I did not buy these tires, the dealer installed them on our used Renegade. I was not pleased and figured I'd replace them shortly with something "good". Instead, I will be keeping them.

I've driven them on dry, wet, snow and ice and they are good tires, not just for the remarkable price, but good tires period. The Renegade was not purchased for performance driving (we have other vehicles for that), but with the Laufenn S FIT AS tires it can be pushed quite hard in corners and is a lot of fun. Wet roads are uninteresting with these tires, they just work. No, it's not a snow tire but it performs as well as an all-season can be expect to. If you know at all how to drive in snow you will get home.

Given the way they's performed so far, if they hold up (don't get lumpy, etc), I won't even look at anything else when it's time to replace them.

...Well to my surprise these tires performance in the wet, snow and ice performed above my expectations. After 6K miles and some real snow fall in the Chicago land area, I have nothing but positive things to say about these tires... They handled those snow days with ease...

I bought these tires for the winter to replace my summer only Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. I wrestled with should I go all season or winter tires? Looking at the price of most of the winter tires, I went with the all seasons, knowing by spring I would mount the summers back on the car. So I went with the more budget priced Laufenn S Fit AS. Well to my surprise these tires performance in the wet, snow and ice performed above my expectations. After 6K miles and some real snow fall in the Chicago land area, I have nothing but positive things to say about these tires. On my Focus ST they handled everything I threw at them. The ride is quiet and controlled. They handled those snow days with ease and the noise levels are extremely low. I could go on and on but I think you get the picture. I would highly recommend these tires and would purchase them again without hesitation. Your experience my very on a different car with a different suspension set up.

I bought four and am amazed at how the S FIT AS XL handles in the rain. I can make turns in wet weather that would have landed me on a guard rail just two months ago on the Eagles. I purposely hit a puddle on a straight piece of road and there was none of the hydroplaning...

I have had two new Galant's and each come with the Goodyear Eagle RS/A. Wet traction with the Eagle was dangerous after 10,000 miles. I have a new driver in my family and decided to swap these out even though there was plenty of tread. I was concerned about Laufeen because there were no reatings for it anywhere. I found that Hankook created a new brand of "No frills" tires at a reasonable price. I bought four and am amazed at how the S FIT AS XL handles in the rain. I can make turns in wet weather that would have landed me on a guard rail just two months ago on the Eagles. I purposely hit a puddle on a straight piece of road and there was none of the hydroplaning. The tire is much quieter than the Eagle but it does have a strange (but not annoying) singing sound (nothing like the stone crusher sound of the Eagles). I had to hit the brakes hard and was so surprised at how quickly the car stopped. The Eagles would have caused the ABS to step in but the Laufeen's just wrestled the Galant to a stop. The ride is so much smoother that my kids even spoke up about it. Not only are the jitters the Eagles created gone but bumps in the road have disappeared.

I will say, though, that on a dry day - the Eagles would have outrun the S Fit because of the abuse they could take in cornering but the S Fit would catch up on the straightaway because you need far less input to keep the car going straight.

I am anxious to see how these wear and what other types of tires Laufeen will bring out next (this is it's first tire from the new factory in the USA) so I can put them on our Van and Jetta. I love this tire. Give it a shot. I know its scary purchasing a tire on its first time out but you will be very happy.

I absolutely love this tire.

...These tires hold the road in curves very well on dry and wet pavement...

I got these tires on sale and was skeptical because it was such a good deal, but they seem to ride well and there is not much road noise at all. I drive 45 miles to work every day, 25 miles on the highway and the rest on winding country roads in rural WV. These tires hold the road in curves very well on dry and wet pavement, have not tried them in snow yet, but that will be happening soon. I will probably buy these tires again even if they are not on sale.

...The dry traction is really good... They hold under hard excelleration with just a bit of hesitation...

This tire has been a pleasant surprise for my performance sedan. The dry traction is really good. Wet traction is also really good. Snow traction great. ICE traction also great. It's the quietest tire I've ever owned in comparison to Bridgestone's and some Kumo's. The ride is quiet and comfortable. They hold under hard excelleration with just a bit of hesitation. I can't say anything bad about them in the first 500 miles. Only time will tell¿

...They continually surprise me with their grip, comfortableness and wet weather handling. Never before has a been tire this good, and so cheap!...

I was initially skeptical of these tires. However, they are some of the best tires that I have bought for the price. They continually surprise me with their grip, comfortableness and wet weather handling. Never before has a been tire this good, and so cheap! I have driven them in the rain great on the dry great. And I am now considering buying them for my Volvo. By the way yes, the van is lowered. About an inch. And it handles great.

...Very good rain traction, spirited dry adhesion and a quiet ride at 35 PSI and offer a Wear rating is 500/A Traction Rating. To me, those data points seem more than adequate for the price of under $150 per tire...

These Laufenn S FIT AS (Hankook sub-brand) tires are a great value! They replaced my 235 40 R 19 OEM Continentals, which are a wonderful standard, but pricey.

The executive summary is I am very happy with them. These S FIT AS tires are W Speed Rated and are splendid replacement tires on a budget. On my 2020 Passat R-Line daily driver, these tires do most things well. Very good rain traction, spirited dry adhesion and a quiet ride at 35 PSI and offer a Wear rating is 500/A Traction Rating. To me, those data points seem more than adequate for the price of under $150 per tire. Be advised, they are reported to be a little squirrelly on snow/ice, which in Central NJ/Eastern PA is not a huge deal, since I take it easy under those conditions anyway.

...I rotate my tires every 10,000 miles and to date, they are looking good. I have been very pleased with the tread ware on this tire. Nice and even...

When reviewing replacement tires for my vehicle I was taking several factors into consideration based upon value, where I lived geographically and the type of driving which I do.
Regarding value for the money, I think that these tire are a great value. They give you a W speed rating with both a Traction and Temperature rating of A. My vehicle is a hatchback which I often like to load up with some heavy camping gear, so the XL load rating was a real bonus.
Regarding the type of usage which my vehicle experiences it is predominantly hot, dry and wet pavement. I live in Florida but I make a lot of long trips up to the Canadian boarder. My vehicle is front wheel drive and I like to get the most out of my sport suspension, shall we say. So I usually expect to see more ware on the front tires when I rotate them. I rotate my tires every 10,000 miles and to date, they are looking good. I have been very pleased with the tread ware on this tire. Nice and even.
The major factors which I look into when deciding on a tire for my location in Florida are tread ware, temperature rating and wet weather driving. I would give an excellent rating for tread ware and temperature. Wet weather driving would be a whole other story. I have been very disappointed with the wheel spin and slippage on wet pavement and turns. Very unnerving at times. This is the only reason that I rated these tires as a "would not purchase again". If you slow down on wet pavement or in the rain, are not as spirited driver as myself, or do not demand as much performance out of your tires as I do, then these might just fit your bill. Wet weather performance drivers stay away.
