The WeatherPeak is Bridgestone's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans, crossovers, SUVs and minivans who are looking for luxurious comfort and reliable performance built to inspire confidence for any season, any weather, and any journey. The WeatherPeak was built as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements qualifying for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance. It is designed to be a one-tire solution for drivers in environments that experience all four seasons, but don't receive sufficient snowfall or icy conditions to require a dedicated winter tire.

Bridgestone WeatherPeak Callouts

The durable, all-season compound is molded into a symmetric pattern to provide traction in variable conditions. Evolving sipes in the central ribs help ensure tread element stiffness for predictable steering response and become usable biting edges for slippery conditions as the tire wears. The large shoulder blocks generate sure-footed dry cornering characteristics and feature generous lateral notches that help evacuate water from the footprint in dynamic handling scenarios. Wide circumferential grooves promote hydroplaning resistance and feature Snow Vices for enhanced grip in slush and snow, helping deliver the traction needed to receive the 3PMSF symbol.

Internal construction of the WeatherPeak features a single-ply polyester casting supporting two steel belts. A nylon reinforcement is added for enhanced high-speed stability and performance.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

All-Weather vs. Winter Tires: The Definitive Test(12:05)

Brent and TJ set off with a couple of objectives in this, the first test of 2026. The first is to highlight the differences between two types of Grand Touring tires: all-season and all-weather. Second, to see how they stack up to dedicated winter tires. The internet is a great resource, but not all the information out there is accurate, and this test is designed to truly set the record straight.

...Outstanding wet traction, which is very important to me. I'm in Ohio...

I am extremely impressed and pleased with this model of tire. I also have it on my Subaru Legacy. Outstanding wet traction, which is very important to me. I’m in Ohio. I have nothing but good things to say about these, which has surprised me given the price. Definitely recommend! And relatively light weight, and the tread pattern looks good too.

This is my second set. They have been great, even have a decent snow capability. The set on my 2004 Aero wagon are about worn out so I'll be buying another set soon.

...This January has started with a Winter punch. The snow has piled up but the deep tread design just rolls through that snow easily...

I have always loved General Tires every since my Grandfather made them at the factory in Akron Ohio. The name stood for quality and endurance. I bought this set of tires to replace a set of General Tires. I can count on them wearing well and offering a smoother ride. The stability decreases gas mileage and the pressure doesn’t fluctuate significantly when the season changes. This January has started with a Winter punch. The snow has piled up but the deep tread design just rolls through that snow easily. This was the easiest purchase for tires that I ever made. Tire Rack was great. They suggested tires for my make and model car. I picked the ones I wanted and put in the right size, paid and that was it. This was an absolute pleasure and I will do it again for my next purchase.

...I drive a 2005 mustang with an open rear differential and still was able to drive in very bad snowy weather (very carefully)...

As an all-season tire, the AS-07 performs very, very well. I previously owned the older version, the AS-05's and this next revision held up to my expectations. I drive a 2005 mustang with an open rear differential and still was able to drive in very bad snowy weather (very carefully). The wet performance on my rating was negatively impacted by the wide tire size, which I have found to be more susceptible to hydroplaning than thinner tires. My car is basically a surfboard in any puddle greater than 1". Dry handling is fantastic. I drive my car hard, and these tires are super grippy and responsive. Well worth the price. I prefer these greatly over the Continental Extreme Contact DWS line of tires. These resisted cracking / dry rot much better. I will be purchasing these tires again.

I am extremely impressed with these tires, particularly for the price. The ride comfort is incredibly smooth, and the noise is quite low. Also, the tread depth seems much greater on these new tires than on previous new sets, such as Perelli’s and Michelin’s. I would definitely buy these again.
