Customers Say

Customer ratings showcase the Laufenn S FIT AS as a strong performer in dry conditions, with many scores of 9-10 for traction, cornering stability, and responsive handling. Wet traction earns consistent 7-8 ratings, with hydroplaning resistance praised in most cases. Winter traction shows mixed results: snow performance is generally adequate (scores 5-8), but ice traction raises concerns with frequent low scores (0-4), a noted limitation for all-season use. Comfort receives high marks for smoothness and low noise, while treadwear durability aligns well with expectations for an ultra-high-performance tire. Overall, drivers report satisfaction for year-round dry and wet driving, with winter capabilities suited to mild climates.

...Wet roads are uninteresting with these tires, they just work...

I did not buy these tires, the dealer installed them on our used Renegade. I was not pleased and figured I'd replace them shortly with something "good". Instead, I will be keeping them.

I've driven them on dry, wet, snow and ice and they are good tires, not just for the remarkable price, but good tires period. The Renegade was not purchased for performance driving (we have other vehicles for that), but with the Laufenn S FIT AS tires it can be pushed quite hard in corners and is a lot of fun. Wet roads are uninteresting with these tires, they just work. No, it's not a snow tire but it performs as well as an all-season can be expect to. If you know at all how to drive in snow you will get home.

Given the way they's performed so far, if they hold up (don't get lumpy, etc), I won't even look at anything else when it's time to replace them.

...Well to my surprise these tires performance in the wet, snow and ice performed above my expectations... They handled those snow days with ease and the noise levels are extremely low...

I bought these tires for the winter to replace my summer only Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. I wrestled with should I go all season or winter tires? Looking at the price of most of the winter tires, I went with the all seasons, knowing by spring I would mount the summers back on the car. So I went with the more budget priced Laufenn S Fit AS. Well to my surprise these tires performance in the wet, snow and ice performed above my expectations. After 6K miles and some real snow fall in the Chicago land area, I have nothing but positive things to say about these tires. On my Focus ST they handled everything I threw at them. The ride is quiet and controlled. They handled those snow days with ease and the noise levels are extremely low. I could go on and on but I think you get the picture. I would highly recommend these tires and would purchase them again without hesitation. Your experience my very on a different car with a different suspension set up.

...As far as snow and wet traction goes, these are solid performers. there is some hydro planning/understeer if you push too hard in the corners, but regular driving, the car is gripping with all its might...

I am a bit of a car enthusiast, and as such, like to push my car hard in different environments. These tires are amazing for the price. My car is FWD, and these tires really help eliminate understeer at speed. Even when cornering hard, there's been almost no noticeable understeer. I plan on getting a set of these for my Evolution VIII, I like them that much! As far as snow and wet traction goes, these are still solid performers. there is some hydro planning/understeer if you push too hard in the corners, but regular driving, the car is gripping with all its might. All in all, this a fantastic tire for the price you pay. highly recommended for someone on a budget!

...Snow traction great. ICE traction great...

This tire has been a pleasant surprise for my performance sedan. The dry traction is really good. Wet traction is also really good. Snow traction great. ICE traction also great. It's the quietest tire I've ever owned in comparison to Bridgestone's and some Kumo's. The ride is quiet and comfortable. They hold under hard excelleration with just a bit of hesitation. I can't say anything bad about them in the first 500 miles. Only time will tellÂż

Been driving on these tires for a year now and they perform way better than expected. Winters on the Oregon coast are wet and foggy and not a single issue. I drive 60 miles a day to and from work. We drove to Reno last winter and got caught in a huge snow storm. While other cars were chaining up, we drove straight through with no problems. I would definitely buy these again.

I haven't pushed the limits of grip very hard with this set of tires, but the steering response in the dry is strong and responsive - quite impressive for an all season, and certainly more confidence inspiring than the OEM MXM4s...

I purchased one of these under duress after I got a flat on a road trip, and then came to TR to finish getting a complete set. This car has had Michelin MXM4s and Bridgestone RE71Rs on it in the past.

I haven't pushed the limits of grip very hard with this set of tires, but the steering response in the dry is strong and responsive - quite impressive for an all season, and certainly more confidence inspiring than the OEM MXM4s. In cold and wet conditions, the tire absolutely falls apart; it's terrifyingly easy to break traction, induce understeer, and generally get the car out of shape when it's only damp. I cannot state this strongly enough: this tire is terrible in the wet.

I don't plan on using these in any winter conditions, and don't have enough miles to comment on wear characteristics.

...Pretty comfortable but have a bit of road noise at any speed...

Horrible in the snow. I never had gotten a vehicle stuck in 7 inches of snow and of course I get stuck in an AWD car with these tires. Other than winter performance I would give them a 7-8/10. Pretty comfortable but have a bit of road noise at any speed. Good for the price.

I saved a lot of money with this choice and I doubt I will wear them out before its time for new ones.

I admittedly have not driven these tires hard but I could not have been happier with them so far. I don't put slot of miles on this car, maybe 1500 a year and avoid rainy days but when I drive its on winding country roads and these were quiet and handled very well. I saved a lot of money with this choice and I doubt I will wear them out before its time for new ones.

...I rotate my tires every 10,000 miles and to date, they are looking good. I have been very pleased with the tread ware on this tire. Nice and even...

When reviewing replacement tires for my vehicle I was taking several factors into consideration based upon value, where I lived geographically and the type of driving which I do.
Regarding value for the money, I think that these tire are a great value. They give you a W speed rating with both a Traction and Temperature rating of A. My vehicle is a hatchback which I often like to load up with some heavy camping gear, so the XL load rating was a real bonus.
Regarding the type of usage which my vehicle experiences it is predominantly hot, dry and wet pavement. I live in Florida but I make a lot of long trips up to the Canadian boarder. My vehicle is front wheel drive and I like to get the most out of my sport suspension, shall we say. So I usually expect to see more ware on the front tires when I rotate them. I rotate my tires every 10,000 miles and to date, they are looking good. I have been very pleased with the tread ware on this tire. Nice and even.
The major factors which I look into when deciding on a tire for my location in Florida are tread ware, temperature rating and wet weather driving. I would give an excellent rating for tread ware and temperature. Wet weather driving would be a whole other story. I have been very disappointed with the wheel spin and slippage on wet pavement and turns. Very unnerving at times. This is the only reason that I rated these tires as a "would not purchase again". If you slow down on wet pavement or in the rain, are not as spirited driver as myself, or do not demand as much performance out of your tires as I do, then these might just fit your bill. Wet weather performance drivers stay away.
