The WeatherPeak is Bridgestone's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans, crossovers, SUVs and minivans who are looking for luxurious comfort and reliable performance built to inspire confidence for any season, any weather, and any journey. The WeatherPeak was built as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements qualifying for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance. It is designed to be a one-tire solution for drivers in environments that experience all four seasons, but don't receive sufficient snowfall or icy conditions to require a dedicated winter tire.

Bridgestone WeatherPeak Callouts

The durable, all-season compound is molded into a symmetric pattern to provide traction in variable conditions. Evolving sipes in the central ribs help ensure tread element stiffness for predictable steering response and become usable biting edges for slippery conditions as the tire wears. The large shoulder blocks generate sure-footed dry cornering characteristics and feature generous lateral notches that help evacuate water from the footprint in dynamic handling scenarios. Wide circumferential grooves promote hydroplaning resistance and feature Snow Vices for enhanced grip in slush and snow, helping deliver the traction needed to receive the 3PMSF symbol.

Internal construction of the WeatherPeak features a single-ply polyester casting supporting two steel belts. A nylon reinforcement is added for enhanced high-speed stability and performance.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Reviews

Customers say the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 delivers outstanding dry traction, with exceptional grip, improved lap times, and stable cornering performance ideal for track days and autocross. While some note predictable behavior in light rain, wet conditions often reveal hydroplaning risks and significantly reduced grip, especially when cold. Treadwear receives mixed feedback-aggressive track use leads to rapid wear, but proper alignment and pressure management can extend longevity. Enthusiasts appreciate their heat tolerance and consistency, though they emphasize these tires prioritize peak performance over durability in competitive settings.

145 reviews mention "Dry Traction"

  • 145 positive
  • 0 negative

Customers praise the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's outstanding dry traction, with many scoring 9s and 10s for exceptional grip, predictable cornering, and lap time improvements during track days, autocross, and HPDE events. Reviewers highlight consistent stability at high speeds, responsive handling once warmed up, and confidence-inspiring performance when managing pressures (32-34 psi hot). While noting alignment and heat management are crucial for optimal wear, most agree these deliver top-tier dry performance for their track-focused purpose.

These tires have excellent grip on a dry, hot track. I use cold Ft 25# Rr 30#. Hot Ft 32# Rr 36#. Very high grip level. I was able to close in on the spec miatas in the middle of the corners. I drove a spec Miata for years and always complained about the slow Porsches in the corners, but not with these tires. I little noisy during everyday use, but about what I expected. Overall a great tire.

...The Michelin Pilot 2s have significantly more stick, and don't completely breaking free of traction at their limits. Everything has improved with these tires, acceleration, braking, and cornering...

My 2015 Jaguar came with Pirelli P-Zeros and was always sliding, spinning, etc. with basic driving conditions. (Exiting from a side street, or quick turn into one) The Michelin Pilot 2s have significantly more stick, and don't completely breaking free of traction at their limits. Everything has improved with these tires, acceleration, braking, and cornering. They're close to my NT01s I have on my other car, but without the tire noise.

...They pick up every pebble and but of sand, and they hold corners like no other... They hold like a train on rails when warm with smooth clean pavement...

Original equipment on my GT350. Tried pirelli winter tires for cold weather, but the cup 2 has won me over. The response, grip and feel is hypnotic to me. They pick up every pebble and but of sand, and they hold corners like no other. Best tire for me, even though they wear quickly.
They worked well in a driving rain, but I have not and would not push them in wet road conditions. They hold like a train on rails when warm with smooth clean pavement. These tires will not grip when cold. Take the recommendation seriously to not drive under 45 degrees. It's possible, and I have, but they will slide on dry in the cold.

...Forget about wet traction and handling. Would never drive this in the rain!

This is THE tire for the GT3. Forget about wet traction and handling. Would never drive this in the rain! This car is for driving Los Angeles Forest Highway from Sunland to Palmdale. Moderate to very aggressive driving depending on conditions. The car came with Pirelles which were very good, but these are even better. When these tires get worn down, they are really loud. I was shocked how much quieter and smooth the ride was after the new set. This is the second set I have installed. 5,000 miles if I am lucky and no mileage guarantee. The harder you push it, the better the grip. I run 31 PSI all around for more control. STAY SAFE!!

...if you drive on public roads, be on your toes if there is heavy rain...

This Cup 2 is considered a track tire. For the price vs performance I think it is over-rated. It has good grip and the tire "talks" to you on the corners, when reaching max grip. But the wear rate is awful compared to various brands of slick race tyres that cost not much more, and if you drive on public roads, be on your toes if there is heavy rain.
Overall, over priced for the performance. Michelin have the market for Porsche 911, Cayman models, so price it accordingly.

  • 70 positive
  • 58 negative

Customers report rapid treadwear, with many dissatisfied by premature cording and short lifespan, even with proper alignment. Multiple reviews note needing replacement after just 2-3 track days or minimal street use, citing excessive wear and cords showing despite intended track use. Tread life often falls below expectations, requiring frequent replacements.

I was surprised to see the rear tires are close to the wear indicators. The fronts are still like new... Hard to believe I'll need to buy 2 rear tires soon.

I bought a set last spring for HPDE days. Was not able to go to the track due to the lock down. Only street driving for about 250 miles and sat at my tuner's shop for about a month. I was surprised to see the rear tires are close to the wear indicators. The fronts are still like new. I did no burn outs. Only launched the car a few time to test 0-60. The car is tuned and makes about 640ft.lb of torque. Still this kind of tire wear is crazy. Hard to believe I'll need to buy 2 rear tires soon.

...wear is surprisingly good...

I just have about 800 miles on the car. Rough about 1 1/2 h of track on them and my impression of the tire are good. It's a road oriented high performance tire. In my opinion less track oriented. Unfortunately i do not have any comparison on this car with other tires to be able to give you a real comparison.
What i can tell you so far is that the tire is very predictable, no surprises once warm, wear is surprisingly good. Decent deceleration on breaks and at the limit progressively loosing grip so you'll understand;) Who does not... well... :(......
Never then less I will give the Dunlop MAXX race as well as the Pirelli Trofeo's a try... Just to have an idea.

...I estimate 7-8 good hard track days easily on these tires... Not sure how long they would last in street use only.

Outstanding tire for dry summer conditions, lapping at the track or autocross. I estimate 7-8 good hard track days easily on these tires. Traction is fantastic. By far the best traction you will find on a track oriented tire that you can also use on the street. I improved my lap times by a couple of seconds over the also good Pilot Super Sports I used before. The street ride is also reasonably smooth and quiet. I did two track days in rain and so long as there isn't standing water, they grip reasonably well in the wet (warning: you should build up speed slowly first and get used to the grip before going fast in the wet). Expensive but worth it. Not sure how long they would last in street use only.
