Sumitomo  HTR A/S P03

Update: After having these tires several thousand miles and for over a year I must say they are a great tire. In general I always purchased Vredestein tires for my new vehicles when removing the junk OEM tires. This time I wanted to try another brand for the heck of it and after a ton of research I went with the Sumitomo HTR A/S P03 and am glad I did. They have done everything the several sets of Vredestein tires I have owned did. The Sumitomo does great on wet roads and has great traction in heavy rains and feels very stable against hydroplaning and sticks to the road. It also does very well in the snow. We just had a snow storm that gave us around 9 inches of snow and it did amazing getting me to work and home each day and night while feeling safe and secure with no sliding or spinning. Sure a snow tire will do better and an all weather tire may do better in snow and ice. However after owning the Vredestein Quatrac, Quatrac 5, Quatrac Pro and the first generation Goodyear Weather ready these tires have done everything just as well for me in all driving conditions! Our driveway is in the rear of our house and you have to go up a steep alley to get to it. At the bottom you have to make a 90 degree turn and start up the hill and you can get no speed up for the hill and this tire went up it fine and my Kicks is front wheel drive only. I was impressed. Also our alley regularly gets ice as water flows down it all the time it seems and then it freezes. These tires have really strong grip on ice for some reason and I was surprised at that. I have to say what a good tire these are and the price especially is very cheap and you get a good name brand tire and a 65,000 milage rating. You cant beat that! They also have a very stable and solid ride with a smooth ride quality and road noise is low. So if you are looking at these Sumitomo HTR A/S P03 tires because they are affordable go for it they are a very good tire for the money and perform excellent

First of all, Tire Rack service and shipping is incredible. I ordered these tires with 2 day shipping included and received them in one day! That was impressive considering all of the dleivery issues out there right now. This is my third set of Sumitomo tires and I am a loyal customer now. These tires are high mileage and high with a quality/comfortable and quiet ride. I have set on a 2014 Pathfinder, 2017 Altima, and now the 2017 Mazda 6. The Mazda is the sportiest of my vehicles and these tires are an absolute compliment to the car. These are smooth, quiet, and affordable. They are responsive and work well in rain (it rained the day after I installed them).

I read somewhere that Sumitomo is the Michelin of Japan. Based on my experience, this must be true. They are at least $100 -$125 less than a comparable Dunlop/Michelin/Goodyear tire. Cost was my main driver for the purchase but the quality speaks for itself. If you haven't, take a chance on Sumitomo and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This was my third set of these Sumitomos and I am still a fan. They feel great on the Interstate, in corners on a two lane, in the rain, you name it. They are the quietest tires I've ever had on a vehicle too. I have a set on a Mazda 6 that were/are much quieter than the Coopers I replaced. I put a fourth set on a Mercedes E350 Four Matic and the results were the same-quiet with excellent road manners. The Mazda has over 12,000 miles on them and they look great. The price is right for these HTR PO3's too.

my previous tires were the HTR A/S PO2,they were a good tire but didn't drive on any snow. Got 35000 miles and needed new ones so I got the PO3. I drive on curvy hilly two lane road at 40mph and flat roads at 55 . these tires handle great on a 04 civic . A month after buying the PO3's a quick snow storm came up that weather men didn't forecast . the salt crews didn't have time to pretreat or treat . these tires got there first test for me . about 2.5 inches of wet snow on road and uphill and curvy . I could not believe how good they did. I had to stop for other cars that could not go any further up hill, and from a dead stop I went around them with no problem at all. I've been driving for 47 years and have drove on a lot of tires , these impressed me on snow and V rated good on curvy roads. This is my work car driven daily

Great tire. Especially in the snow. Great Value. Much better than the Bridgestone and/or Michelin tires that are stock from Lexus. Also have these on my 2018 Q5 as well. Great tire!!!

May be lengthy. So my previous was P02, since on a budget from going big brakes. By far my waggie is NOT a pavement princess and it's more set up for rally runs with occasion air time. I wore those down to minimum over 40k ish miles, no issues, wore out as expected from happy alignment. Time for new ones n saw there's P03 now. ---- skippy I reuped a set. The latest versions still haven't broke loose yet on twisties, but will have to get at least 2 new since I cupped the rears towing way more than was supposed to. Even still, they got me thru the white fluffy stuff towing up n over Sierras, Rockies n thru Plains with not 1 issue whatsoever. Granted I'm AWD, have oversized brakes and a manual. Off-roading has never failed me yet, tho I don't do rock climbing or super dooper mudding. On good service roads the slide is VERY predictable and consistent. Same on wet roads, I've really gotta be pushing it for em to break. With all this said, my clutch doesn't like me dumping it cuz my gears are too tall to make em break dry and snow, and full-time mechanical viscous AWD doesn't help either. So of course later I threw in LSDs on all 3 diffs and holy crap I'm gonna have to do way more beefying up suspension, cuz she's now asking n tormenting me to push it more. I may just give in to her wishes. Can't wait for snownut season now.

Can't complain, the price was right, the performance is better than the price may suggest, tread wear been good, noise level is low, traction in deep snow is good, dry traction has been excellent, really pleased, good purchase

Excellent tires.; I’ve had them for a year. Top notch performance in dry, wet and/or snow. Impressed by the traction in all conditions, and I get to drive in all kinds of crazy weather. Helps my Honda Fit ride very nicely

Like I said when I first purchased these tires, they are much better than the original. They are much smoother and much more comfortable and I believe I get better gas mileage. I did pick up a nail the other day and got that repaired right away with no damage to the tire. Once repaired, the tires continued to perform with the same level of comfort, safety, and reliability as before. They grip well during acceleration and breaking. They corner well even at 45mph without losing traction. During rain, I am a little more cautious but again, they perform admirably. I would definitely purchase these tires again.

I purchased these tires for our Audi A4 Cabriolet that sees one to two thousand miles a year these days Our goal was a quiet ride for summer cruising.
These tires delivered the smooth quiet ride we wanted at a very reasonable price.

The Sumitomo tire offers good performance and value in the 2020 Honda Insight fitment. Ride characteristics are very good but sidewall compliance seems high - would not recommend for spirited driving in this size. Treadwear is excellent. Drivers looking for the highest gas mileage for their hybrid or electric car may want to look at a different tire.

Excellent performance and very good price. Perform like a summer performance tire, but have better treadwear like an all-season. Hard to judge road noise and comfort since the mini cooper is so loud and harsh to begin with, but these tires complement it's handling ability quite well, particularly in hard turns

Great tire for the price, have 90,000 on the current set and probably could have gotten another 10k miles or so if my rear struts hadn't worn out. Original struts still performed well at 160k miles.
