The HTR A/S P03 is Sumitomo's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and powerful sedans, looking to capture the performance they crave from their vehicles. Combining Sumitomo's advanced technologies, the HTR A/S P03 is designed to blend dry, wet and wintertime traction for a combination of high performance handling and stability, even in light snow.
A silica-enhanced, all-season compound is molded into the HTR A/S P03's asymmetric tread pattern which is optimized to reduce profile deformation while cornering, improving handling and stability. A solid, high-tension bead apex promotes sidewall rigidity while cornering, increasing steering feel and response. The advanced "fin" design molded into the outboard intermediate rib feeds water evacuation channels that continue to the outboard shoulder, reducing hydroplaning for increased stability in wet conditions. Inclement weather traction is further enhanced by the HTR A/S P03's "Miura-Ori" sipes molded into the outboard rib, helping the tire maintain its connection to the road surface in wet and wintertime conditions. Cross-design grooves and sipes built into the inboard ribs further enhance road contact, with a focus on maximizing winter traction.
The HTR A/S P03 features a robust, two-ply polyester casing designed to increase durability and maintain ride comfort. A twin-reinforced steel belt package further enhances reliability and is wrapped with a full-width nylon reinforcement to help maintain high speed integrity and stability.

I replaced a set of Toyo Open Country that cost $400 each, with these tires and found them to have a smooth ride, exceptional grip on wet roads - have not hydroplaned in deep standing and heavy rainfall, and quiet ride for about half the price. I have gravel roads as well as paved roads with several different driving conditions at times in the same week and hands down, these tires have out preformed the Toyo tires when they were new. As I've only driven 1,000 miles on these I can't tell how long the tread will last but they still look new and handle the as they did when mounted.

...They stiffened up the ride, are quiet and have great traction in the slushy snow...
I’ve barely driven on this set and already like them. They stiffened up the ride, are quiet and have great traction in the slushy snow. The set they replaced didn’t feel as good out of the box and only lasted 15k (Ironman junk), so I am glad I upgraded to the Sumitomo. I’ll have to remember to update review after a few road trips, but I’m confident they will still rate highly.

...They perform about as good as you can expect an all season to perform in the snow but they aren't hopeless if you have experience in wintry conditions...
This tire is slightly larger and has a stiffer sidewall than the oem tire size but it has vastly improved the cars handling and has been significantly better on tread wear. They leave a bit left to be desired in wet conditions but just take it easy and it’s fine. They perform about as good as you can expect an all season to perform in the snow but they aren’t hopeless if you have experience in wintry conditions. I haven’t exactly been easy on these tires and they’ve held up really well. Pleasantly surprised

No complaints on these tires. I made sure to really give them a good go in high snow last year and they did great (plus it was fun). Not loud and still look brand new. I would buy these again.

...Also, just yesterday, I had to get away from somebody that wanted my lane more than I did. I had to do an instant 70 mph lane change and these tires performed beautifully.
I mount and balance my own tires. I lined up the dot with the valve stem and these needed almost no weight to balance. I probably could've just left them as mounted with no weights added at all. I've had to use more weight to balance a motorcycle tire in the past. Also, just yesterday, I had to get away from somebody that wanted my lane more than I did. I had to do an instant 70 mph lane change and these tires performed beautifully.

A lot of spinning out on wet roads when starting out. Tread feels very hard which is probably why. They are very good on dry roads, but would not purchase again.

...I'm well satisfied with ware, comfort, and price...
I bought these tires based on reviews and price on your site. I only ordered 2 for the front of my vehicle. The Sumitomo appeared the best bang for the buck. It's been a year, need to order 2 more for the front and roll these to the back. I'm well satisfied with ware, comfort, and price. Thank you for helping keep prices down. Just my opinion, but our economy is in the tank and any savings is a blessing...
