The Scorpion Verde (Italian for green) All Season is Pirelli's eco-friendly Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of crossovers, sport utility vehicles and prestigious pickups. The Ecoimpact* icons on the sidewall of the Scorpion Verde All Season highlight its environmental compatibility where it reduces rolling resistance and tire weight, compared to Pirelli's previous CUV/SUV tire lines, to increase fuel economy and lower the vehicle's CO2 emissions. Four wide circumferential grooves displace water to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction while longitudinal siping for lateral stability on loose surfaces and high-density lateral siping enhance wet and wintertime traction.

Limited sizes of the Scorpion Verde All Season are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These tire have been great so far. Dry traction is awesome. I previously had a set of Michelin LTX M/S 2’s and these perform better in wet conditions in my experience. They are extremely quiet and comfortable driving on the highway, even with load range E on a 3/4 ton truck at 50psi. I feel like the rubber is slightly softer than the Michelins resulting in less road noise. They have a slightly aggressive look to them which is great for a highway tire on a 4 wheel drive truck. I would recommend these tires to anyone with a truck looking for a quiet and comfortable ride without sacrificing performance.

The reason I say this is, at proper air pressure (60 and 65 psi) the tires look like they’re a bit low on air. I am so pleasantly surprised by these tires! My van is not kit-out (yet!), and thus does not have noise-suppression materials. The previous OEM tires had perfectly fine performance, but you could not have a conversation easily at highway speeds. Much to my surprise, these tires are significantly quieter, making my 3500 mile summer road trip much more bearable. The performance was fine in every driving condition so far (summer heat and some heavy rain, as well as dirt roads) but I haven't 'pushed' them meaningfully; I mean, it is a van after all. Only downside: the new quietness truly reveals how terrible the stock radio/speakers are, which is something I will have to rectify when I build it out. Thanks TireRack for making the selection process so easy.
