The Pilot Sport All Season 4 is Michelin's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire for drivers of high-end sports cars, sporty coupes, performance sedans, crossovers and SUVs looking to push the limits of all-season performance. Designed to offer high levels of dry and wet traction, combined with confidence in inclement weather, the Pilot Sport All Season 4 aims to control the moment no matter the condition, even in light snow.

Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 Callouts

Select sizes of the Pilot Sport All Season 4 are available with Michelin's Full Ring Velour Premium Touch sidewall treatment. This velvet-effect checkered sidewall is created using cutting-edge laser technology and is designed to enhance the vehicle's visual presence. These sizes are identified on the "Specs" page and in search results.

Featuring an advanced tread compound molded into an innovative asymmetric pattern, the Pilot Sport All Season 4 utilizes large reinforced outboard shoulder blocks that help deliver lateral grip. Dynamic Response Technology evens out the forces exerted on the contact patch during hard cornering, improving handling characteristics and tread wear. Wide circumferential channels combine with large rain grooves to evacuate heavy water from the contact patch, helping increase hydroplaning resistance. Wet traction and stability are further enhanced by the Extreme Silica Compound, along with dynamic biting edges from the distinctive 360 Degree Variable Sipes. These full-depth and interlocking sipes also complement wintertime traction and combine with biting edges molded into the sides of the circumferential grooves to enhance snow performance. The Pilot Sport All Season 4 employs Michelin's Helio Technology, which is derived from sunflower oil. This sustainable and biodegradable material helps the tread maintain its flexibility at lower temperatures, ensuring the Pilot Sport All Season 4's capabilities, even in colder climates.

The Pilot Sport All Season 4's internal construction features a two ply polyester casing, blending durability and performance handling characteristics. Two high strength steel belts are reinforced by single nylon cap ply, further promoting comfort and high speed stability.

...wet weather traction is good. going through tropical storm ETA now and traction and stopping with inches of water on the roads is great...

Only 200 miles so far . Was looking for Michelin defenders LRE . but out of stock for more then 6 weeks at the time . So i took a gamble on these Continentals terraincontacts HT . so far these tires feel as good as the Michelin Defenders , ride is nice, wet weather traction is good . going through tropical storm ETA now and traction and stopping with inches of water on the roads is great . can't tell about longevity yet but will up-date when i get more miles on tires , So far happy with my purchase .

...Quiet, responsive, safe, great traction in all conditions...

Best bang for the buck by a looong shot. Bought these on sale and already put 70,000. Still can go another 10-20,000 looks like. This is everything a modern all season tire should be plus the longest thread life. Quiet, responsive, safe, great traction in all conditions. Will definitely buy again

...They are a major improvement over the factory Goodyear Eagle LS-2 which had poor wet traction.

After reading the reviews for the Continentals I thought I would give them a try.
They are very quiet and smooth riding.I have them inflated to 35 PSI.

I will update again at 10,000 miles.

These are outstanding tires for our Subaru Sport. So much better than the Yokohamas that came with the car in every metric. Quiet - Excellent Traction - Very Smooth (they actually seem to augment the suspension to smooth the ride) These tires helped keep us safe when we were traveling in the mountains of North Carolina in January in a snowstorm that had made the roads quite slick and hadn't been plowed in a while. These tires have been great so far. They are very smooth, corner very well, really feel like they grip the road, and have only a very low amount of tread noise. The day after installing these tires we had a full day of heavy rain/freezing rain and these tires handled very well. I felt confident driving at highway speeds throughout the storm.

I'll also add that they are a good looking tire, with a nice looking sidewall and tread design. They appear to be a good balance of highway friendliness and rugged durability. I will update this review once we have a snowstorm, since that is the only condition these tires have not seen.

This tire has been great in the Vermont winters. While it is not a "deep snow rated tire" it seems designed to do very well in the deep snow. It is much better than the original equipment tires that I replaced. It has handled all Vermont snow, ice, slush, etc. with no drama at all. They work well when plowing and towing. They are a very quiet road tire and absorb bumps and road imperfections well. I have seen no problem with stopping distances or acceleration when I need it. I really could not be more satisfied.

...Traction is excellent as expected!...

They replaced OE Bridgestone Alenza 43 000 miles. First thing I noticed was the new tires have way less balance weights and run more stable. Second they are the quietest tires I’ve had, Alenza produced a lot of tread noise when was new. TerrainContact is slightly firmer but comfortable ride. Traction is excellent as expected! Extremely happy with my new tires!!

I just feel more contacted to the road and in-control with the Conti's...

I consider myself a tire snob. I spend more time than I care to admit researching tires online. For my Nissan Armada, I narrowed my choices down to two tires for my truck. I considered the Continental TerrainContact H/T, and the Michelin Defender LTX MS/2’s as my top two choices in the HT truck tire category. But the price was significantly higher for the Michelin’s, so I thought I’d give the Conti’s the nod.
I’m glad I did. I have to say, these tires are amazing. For the money, I feel these are the best truck tires on the market. They’re smooth, ultra-quiet, good looking, have excellent road feel, accurate steering, and they’re shockingly capable in the rain and snow.
My previous tires were the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3’s which were also fantastic, but they only lasted 39k miles. I thought I’d step over to a true truck HT tire for my heavy Nissan Armada to get better tread life. These tires are not as buttery soft as the Pirelli’s. The Conti’s are slightly more taught, but that’s a good thing. I just feel more contacted to the road and in-control with the Conti’s. If you’re in the market for a truck HT tire, put these near the top of your search list.

...I just replaced them at 65K miles which is great and I would have run them longer if winter was not around the corner...

For years ago, I was running Michelins and when they wore out I decided to give these Continentals a try based on the reviews and price. I was not disappointed at all. The good ride and steering response are just as per the Tire Rack reviews. I just replaced them at 65K miles which is great and I would have run them longer if winter was not around the corner. The road noise was a little bit higher but I found it never to be really noticeable and never an annoyance. I was confident in wet conditions even as the tires started to wear. I live in South Dakota where we get real winter conditions. The tires were up to task and got me through both light and heavy snow without problem. I highly recommend them.

Breaking Down Tire Performance Categories - 2024 Special Test With Winter Update(26:05)

We understand that tire performance categories can be confusing. You want an all-season tire, but there are several all-season categories; how do you know which one is right for you? You want a summer tire, but again, which summer category? In this special demonstration, we took six all-season tires from three all-season categories and three summer tires from two summer categories to lay it out for you. Category-leading tires from the Standard Touring All-Season, Grand Touring All-Season, Ultra High Performance All-Season, Max Performance Summer, and Extreme Performance Summer categories are tested so you can see exactly what each "step up" gets you as a driver and what trade-offs were made along the way.
