So far these tires have been worth every penny. According to the Michelin specifications, new tires have 14/32 tread depth, after 9000 miles the front tires still measure 14/32 and the rear tires measure 13/32. Ride and handling is very smooth and quiet. Wet traction is 110% improved over the OEM tires. Snow traction was very good and ice traction was good for an all-terrain tire. Overall I'm very satisified with these tires.

Got these earlier this spring, 2 days later we had freezing rain. Driving normal, I could not tell it was glare ice out there, but judging by the number of vehicles in ditches, on curbs, etc. it was treacherous...

We just got 6" of snow yesterday, and I've been out playing, these are a darn fine tire. About the only thing that would help is if they had studs, but with the Escape's features of traction and stability control, driving was "normal". Beats the living heck out of the continentals it came with. This combo has been through the mountians and the flatlands, excellent preformers. Definately recommended.

For my driving, these tires have been excellent. They are OEM original equipment on my 2016 F350 SRW crew cab pickup. I drive 75% highway, 25% city; and pull a 12,000 lb fifth wheel about 20% of the time. I've put 89,000 miles on them without a problem. They've never lost traction or hydroplaned on wet pavement, and I can't make them lose grip on dry pavement. 2WD didn't get me out of the sand the one time I found some, but 4WD got me out easily. Light (these tires have seen up to 5") snow is not an issue - I use 4WD because I have it, not really because I need it. Haven't driven in heavy snow or ice. They don't grip well on loose gravel on dirt roads, so I don't recommend serious off-roading. I picked 18" over the optional 20" wheel diameter for ride comfort, and I have to say these tires are surprisingly quiet and ride very well considering the stiff suspension I have. I recommend them highly.

While I have only 50 miles on these, I've tested them hard on wet, dry, ice, soft snow, hard snow and deep snow.
I'm so impressed with the winter traction I'm selling my snow tires. I can barely tell any difference in winter performance. Only on hard ice do I think the snowtires may be better. But only a tiny bit better. In softer or deeper snow, these may even have the edge. On dry, the rides excellent, and is a nice improvement from the mushy snow tires. Tracking is good, and tolerance of ruts on the highway was also good.
My only negative is they are as loud as snow tires or many other AT tires. Instead of just wind noise, I now hear the tires too. My Bridgestone Duelers were much quieter. But after getting stuck in 2" of mud with the Duelers, I ruled them out for new tires. The AT-2's have a more aggressive tread along each edge, and I'm hoping that will help in ruts and mud.
I'm looking forward to checking millage on my next road trip.

Deep snow is better than expected for a relatively mild tread (4WD use is about the same as other A/T tires), I think the open tread/cut-out shoulder has a lot to do with it (previous tires were closed shoulder)
Noise is evident above 45MPH if the window is down, even then it's just a slight, high pitched whine. Cornering is surprisingly good considering the truck is a nose-heavy diesel with DRW. I'll be watching tread wear closely since rotating on a dually with aluminum wheels is a PIA.
As I read the rest of the reviews, it's pretty obvious people do not take the time to adjust pressure for winter driving, or load ENOUGH ballast in the bed of their trucks. With 245/75E17s, I'm currently running 60psi in the front and 50psi in the rear (4) with 1200lbs of ballast, there's about 12" of snow on the ground and most secondary roads are unplowed. It's also important to adjust pressures for empty/loaded driving (I only run MAX PSI when towing my trailer which has 7,000lbs of hitch weight)
So far, I would rate these 2-3 points above the BFG Rugged Trail that came on the truck new. I like BFG's more agressive tires (M/T & Baja), but needed something more street worthy for my current application, and the Rugged Trail wasn't cutting it.
I'll check back in when I get more miles on these (treadwear) and start towing my 18,000lb 5th wheel (heavy towing stability)

...Perfect dry handling and almost perfect wet handling...
Michelin Ltx a/t 2 are the best tires I have ever owned! Have tried bg goodrich all terrain and Goodyear eagle LS in the past. With respect to light truck performance Perfect dry handling and almost perfect wet handling. As for off roading haven't had any problems... these tires have been great and with them haven't really needed to switch into 4 wheel drive. They are pretty expensive but you get what you pay for. Balanced and rotated ever 6k miles and after 43k miles I might be able to squeeze another 35k out of them!

I bought these in a tire and wheel combo from The Tire Rack for my son's truck. They are not too aggresive, have a good ride and are quiet. Wet and dry handling is much improved over the OEM tires. I did have one tire that had to be replaced due to the steering wheel shaking back and forth, but only at 60-65 mph. One of the front tires in the set had a high Radial Force Variation number. The Tire Rack sent out a new tire immediately and I had it in a couple of days. No problems now.

Initial review. I replaced BF Goodrich All Terrain TA KOs with these tires. Amazing difference in improved ride comfort and reduced noise levels. Excellent appearance and no blemishes at all or signs or bulges, which tires this size occasionally reveal once mounted. I expect they will perform well over many miles and will follow up after the winter.

I bought these Michelins when the truck was brand new. I had an alignment problem with the truck when it was new and the tires wore unevenly for 500 miles.. Even with that problem I have gotten almost 70,000 miles out of this set of tires. I still could get another 5,000 out of this set. Superior traction... Even with the size of the tirs... they balanced perfect and ride perfect... If this sounds like a commercial... It should be because these are the best tires I have ever had.

These were the first things I bought for my then new truck. I had the OEM Firestones taken off and these mounted with about 200 miles on it. I'm now at around 56k and STILL have 10/32'nds of tread left. These tires are amazing for the type of driving I do. I've hauled a truck camper all over the west and tow an ATV trailer around as well. Living in NE Wisconsin they're no stranger to snow either and perform very nicely at that task as well. I HIGHLY recommend these tires for any 1/2 ton truck which will see mostly on road driving of any type.

I purchased 5 of these tires over 5 years ago. I have rotated all 5 every 5k and currently have over 79,000 miles on them. If I had to guess I would say I have another 30-40k left in these...

Its doesn't seem right that these have lasted so long, I even double/triple checked the papers and it is. I generally use these for commuting In Colorado weather but have been on countless off roading events and small expeditions and these tires have performed way beyond my expectations. A brutal trail that took us 6 hours with very large and very sharp rocks that look as if every on of them would give us a puncture did virtually no damage to the side walls or the tread. Tests on loose gravel, dirt, rocks in Moab, and snow all passes beating my expectations by far. Dont have any real experience with these in mud. If there was ever a tire that could do everything these would be them. Worth the price

These are the best tires I have ever used on my truck, recomended by a friend that has them on his Forerunner. I installed them last year at the start of the duck season. Great in heavy rain and mud, great in the summer on dirt roads. I have tried the Bridgstone Duelers and BFGoodrich Rugged Trail. The Mitchelin LTX A/T are more expensive but worth the money. After 12000 miles they still measure 12/32 tread depth. I think I will get 40,000 miles out of thses tires. Definitely recommend.
