Excellent handling and great traction on dry and wet pavement. Very quiet, comfortable, and responsive. Best all season tire I have used in deep snow and ice. Overall, these tires exceed my expectations.

...Rain traction is great, cornering is great, and the comfort is far superior to the Bridgestones...

This is a follow up review to one i left earlier. I now have about 5000 miles on the tires due to many trips to South Florida, absolutely love these tires. Rain traction is great, cornering is great, and the comfort is far superior to the Bridgestones. The 275's look better than the 265's as well, fill out the big wheel wells better. These tires are rated for 50,000 miles, so cant comment on the wear yet, so far so good though.

...Spent a brief period in white out blizzard conditions - felt confident with traction...

Just spent 3 days and 2100 miles with these tires. Hwy comfort is outstanding. LOW NOISE at Hwy (80+ MPH) speeds - at any speed for that matter.

Cornering confidence was less with these tires than the OEM Goodyears - but I knew that there would be a trade off for the comfort.

Verified an increase of 1.4 MPG (16.8 MPG) vs OEM (15.4 MPG). VERY happy with that. Make sure that you run the tires at the TIRE mfg pressue spec - not the vehicles spec.

Spent a brief period in white out blizzard conditions - felt confident with traction.

As of now, I would buy them again.

...The Pirellis are also MUCH, MUCH better than the Continentals on light snow, slush, and ice...

My car came with a set of the equivalent Continentals when I got my 2009 Volvo XC70 T6. The Pirellis are superior in every respect. First off, the Continentals only lasted 25,000 miles. I now have the same mileage on the Pirellis and have MUCH tread left on them. The Pirellis are also MUCH, MUCH better than the Continentals on light snow, slush, and ice. PLUS, the Pirellis are quieter and ride better.

...WOW, it is now February 10, 2015 and I will not install the Blizzaks this winter, because these tires are totally awesome in the snow and ice. I have been to the mountain 15 times this season to ski, and these tires are very nice. I have snow skied at a local resort for over 50 years, with an average snowfall of 250+ inches of snow every winter. I installed the Pirelli Verdes September 2014 on a 2012 Acura MDX AWD and decided not to put my Blizzaks on until I tested the Pirelli's in the snow and ice. WOW, it is now February 10, 2015 and I will not install the Blizzaks this winter, because the Verdes are totally awesome in the snow and ice. I have been to the mountain 15 times this season to ski, and these tires are very nice. They track and grip in deep snow, stop and go from a traffic signal with compact snow and ice with no slippage. Going uphill or downhill on snow or ice, they track through the corners with a very confident feeling of what the vehicle will do as you enter and exit a slick corner. This is very important on snow and ice to get a feel what the car will do to minimize your reaction time if necessary. They are amazingly and quiet and smooth on the dry interstate. Solid and stable over rough roads, with firmness and stickiness in the corners. If your looking for a one tire quiver for all seasons, this is a good one. I did not rate the tread wear because of the low mileage.

I purchased this tire after speaking with a customer service representative when I asked for a viable option to the factory Michelin Pilot tires. I have been nothing short of delighted with these tires. They have a slightly harder tread compound than the Pilots did they maintain the cornering stability of the Michelins. Overall, I feel that they driver better than the Michelin Pilots and offer a better value due to better treadware and come in at a lower price point. I would enthusiastically recommend that you consider these tires as an excellent performing, outstanding value replacement tire for heavier SUV's that are used on-road.

...The Scorpions, however, provide superior traction in wet and dry conditions and are fairly quiet... The Socrpions are sticky tires. Consequently, handling is improved over the second best Grabbers which drifted through corners and were not particularly responsive to stearing input...

This is the tire for 2007 and later Acura MDX vehicles. Having gone through 3 sets of tires in 65,000 miles in search of a tire that does not follow the road contures as the OEM Latitudes did or was so noisy that you couldn't hear the stereo and wore out in 18,000 miles like the F1 tires, I'm pleased to announce that the best so far are the Pirelli Scorpions. A very close second, and less expensive tire is the Grabber. These did very well for about 30,000 miles. They were quiet, comfortable and tracked well. The Scorpions, however, provide superior traction in wet and dry conditions and are fairly quiet. Most importantly, they track straight. I can remove my hand from the wheel without the car bolting for the sholder of the road. I'm am a little disappointed in the ride and noise. The ride is rough over railroad tracks and most holes. Noise, like white noise, starts around 35 mph, and you will think a window is open. The Socrpions are sticky tires. Consequently, handling is improved over the second best Grabbers which drifted through corners and were not particularly responsive to stearing input. I noticed no change in fuel consumption over the grabbers. In summary, this is a great tire for wet condition, reasonably comfortable and fairly quiet. It is the allaround best performing tire I have put on my MDX so far.

...They are SUPER quiet; even my wife commented on how quiet the tires are.

I have 18 inch Honda Ridgeline (5 spoke) wheels on my van. These tires are expensive, but I bought them because they had the best customer reviews in my size. I have put 6,000 miles on them and I couldn't be happier... I'm glad I spent the extra money! They are SUPER quiet; even my wife commented on how quiet the tires are. I recently drove through a torrential down pour and there was no hint of hydroplaning or skittishness from the tires. I could not say that about the Michelin MXMV4's that I replaced... even when they were new. I cannot comment on the winter performance of these tires, but I run Blizzaks anyway. My only complaint is the tires tend to flat spot over night, but they smooth out in about 5 miles. As long as they smooth out quickly, I don't mind. If you by these tires, have them re-balanced after the first 1,000 miles and make sure they balance them warm, and without the vehicle sitting for too long. You will not be disappointed with these tires.

...Ride comfort and noise is excellent, ride is quiet, smooth. Make sure you keep vehicle recommended pressure and you won't regret. My first set of same model tires was set by dealer 10 psi below recommended and for two weeks I hated a ride it's like being on boat in high seas.

Besides performance and safety ride comfort is also important to me. I had no chance to try them on snow since there wasn’t snowing. In regards of hydroplaning i experienced only ones when I lost control of the car at smooth highway turn at around 40 mph, It was really strange since I been driving in worst conditions at much higher speed.

My first set of same model tires was set by dealer 10 psi below recommended and for two weeks I hated a ride it’s like being on boat in high seas. After adding pressure to factory recommend 42psi front and 47psi back it does changes a quality of ride.

...The ride quality of these Pirellis' was a great improvement over the well used previous tires... The ride quality has eroded somewhat but still acceptable...

I was replacing a set of Goodyears with about 50k on them going into a Kansas City winter which is cold with a few minor snow showers each year. The ride quality of these Pirellis' was a great improvement over the well used previous tires. Overall these tires appear to have good treadlife, and decent wet, snow and dry pavements. I think I have about 6,000 miles on these tires and the tread is very good and the noise is about the same. I tow a trailer quite a bit and these tires perform perfectly for my needs. The ride quality has eroded somewhat but still acceptable. For the price paid I feel these are a great buy. I'm guessing these tires offer better performance than my car is capable of providing but I am very satisfied with my purchase and Tire Racks delivery speed.

I put more than 60,000 miles on a set of these tires. Half way through their life, the tires became pretty loud and thumpy. Since the tread was still plenty, I was resistant to replace them and put up with the noise. It was a trade-off. I had a set on an Infinity FX35 and loved them. I'm trying another tire as a replacement, but would considered buying these again.
