The Pilot Sport 4S is Michelin's Max Performance Summer tire developed in cooperation with some of the most demanding vehicle manufacturers, including Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche to utilize key technologies engineered during competition in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was designed for serious drivers looking to maximize the performance potential of their sports cars, performance sedans and powerful luxury vehicles. The Pilot Sport 4S excels in warm dry and wet conditions, so like all Max Performance Summer tires, is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Premium Touch LogoSelect sizes of the Pilot Sport 4S are available with Michelin's Premium Touch sidewall treatment. This velvet-effect checkered sidewall is created using cutting-edge laser technology and is designed to enhance the vehicle's visual presence. These sizes are identified on the "Specs" page and in the search results.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4SThe asymmetric tread pattern of the Pilot Sport 4S features side-by-side, 24 Hours of Le Mans-derived compounds. The low-void outer shoulder utilizes a new dry-focused hybrid tread rubber for improved dry handling and braking over the previous generation tire, while the center ribs and inboard shoulder feature a silica-infused wet compound designed to increase wet braking performance. The computer-modeled Variable Contact Patch 3.0 optimizes pressure distribution across the contact patch through turns, reducing hot spots and improving tire life during aggressive use.

Internal construction of the Pilot Sport 4S features twin steel belts reinforced by a spirally wound hybrid reinforcement. This hybrid Aramid and nylon belt offers a lightweight, high-strength reinforcement above the steel belts to enhance high-speed handling, wear and durability. Specifically tuning the application of the cord filament provides Michelin engineers the ability to balance tension and strength, and a single-ply, polyester cord casing balances trade-offs between ride quality and responsive handling.

Limited sizes of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are available with Michelin Acoustic Technology, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

Select original equipment sizes of the Pilot Sport 4S utilize the Michelin Connected Tire System in conjunction with Michelin Acoustic Technology and can be identified by the specific Acoustic and Bluetooth logos on the tire's sidewall. These tires contain the sound-absorbing foam as well as a sensor designed to communicate specific data about the tire to the vehicle's built-in systems.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

*Specific sizes utilizing Michelin Total Performance eco-focused manufacturing methods are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

After several months of driving on the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season tires in a wide range of conditions, I can confidently say they’ve exceeded expectations across multiple performance metrics. In wet conditions, they handle heavy rain and standing water confidently with excellent hydroplaning resistance. Traction is strong when accelerating, braking, and cornering—both in wet and dry conditions—making the tires feel stable and secure in all kinds of driving situations. Cornering feels particularly solid thanks to the tire’s well-designed structure, which keeps the vehicle composed through turns. Dry road performance is equally impressive: the grip is dependable under aggressive acceleration, firm braking, and tight curves. Steering responsiveness is sharp without being twitchy, offering a thrilling sense of connection to the road. Ride comfort is another highlight—bumps and road imperfections are absorbed well, resulting in a smooth and composed driving experience. Road noise levels are impressively low. On both city streets and highways, road noise is well controlled with no annoying whine or hum. The tone is soft and unobtrusive—more of a gentle background presence than a disturbance, which adds to the upscale, refined feel. The treadwear has been very reasonable and in line with expectations for a premium all-season tire. After a thousand miles, wear is even and minimal. Drivers expecting longevity will appreciate that these tires are built not only for performance but also for durability. The Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season tires strike a compelling balance between performance, comfort, and durability. Whether you''re navigating wet roads, carving through dry corners, or simply cruising down the highway, these tires provide a confident, refined, and quiet driving experience. I would without a doubt definitely recommend!

...Even in heavy rain, these tires maintain stability, and I feel confident behind the wheel.

I’ve been using the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season tires for just over a year now, and I have to say, I’m thoroughly impressed with their performance. These tires offer a great balance of comfort, performance, and longevity, making them ideal for my daily driving in a hot climate like central Florida. The traction is excellent on both dry and wet roads. The tread pattern is well-designed to provide grip without sacrificing fuel efficiency, which is a huge bonus during the scorching summer months when I do a lot of highway driving. Even in heavy rain, these tires maintain stability, and I feel confident behind the wheel. One of the standout features for me is their low rolling resistance, which really contributes to better fuel economy, something that’s essential in a hot climate with high temperatures. Even after the first year, the tires have held up well with minimal wear, which is a testament to their durability. Another reason I love the Cinturato P7 tires is the comfort they provide. They offer a smooth and quiet ride, even at higher speeds, which is ideal for long drives or daily commutes in a warm area where the roads can get pretty hot and rough. The overall performance is reliable, and they handle turns and corners without any issues. If you’re in a warm climate and looking for all-season tires that can handle the heat, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 is a fantastic choice. They offer a great mix of comfort, performance, and fuel efficiency, all while being durable enough to withstand the challenges of hot weather conditions. Highly recommended!

...It handles well in snow, dirt, mud, and sand (low levels, not a dune)...

Sensational driving experience. I’m driving from MA to TX, TN, GA, & FL. Dealing with all type of weather and road conditions. From snow storm to hurricane weather. It’s smooth handling makes for the quiet and comfortable ride. Especially long distance. I’m fearless with weather but cautious on how to handle in various conditions and the handling is great in my car. It handles well in snow, dirt, mud, and sand (low levels, not a dune). Tread doesn’t wear too bad. Only thing I have is that it does create a bubble if you hit a pothole (which I avoid at all COSTS). Up north there’s a lot of that, especially with the snow plows. Its ability to handle humid temps, given the moisture left, it helps me be a little more confident on long stretch highways, such as Florida. I recommend these tires to anyone and in my opinion, is worth the investment. Remember to do basic maintenance to ensure the best and durable experience!

...They behave predictably when pushed in dry or wet conditions, and they handle well enough in the snow that I sold the snow tires I had for this vehicle...

Heavy all-wheel drive vehicles are not kind to tires, but these traditionally last longer than expected on the A7. They behave predictably when pushed in dry or wet conditions, and they handle well enough in the snow that I sold the snow tires I had for this vehicle. (I have higher ground clearance vehicles for deep snow)

These tires were simply amazing! I had them on the Fusion I later sold when I got my Camry (miss my Fusion!). They were quite literally the best tires I have ever owned and far exceeded the mileage warranty. Was sad I couldn't get the exact same tire on my new car. But the Pirellis I have on it are excellent. Just not stellar like these were.
