The Pilot Sport 4S is Michelin's Max Performance Summer tire developed in cooperation with some of the most demanding vehicle manufacturers, including Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche to utilize key technologies engineered during competition in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was designed for serious drivers looking to maximize the performance potential of their sports cars, performance sedans and powerful luxury vehicles. The Pilot Sport 4S excels in warm dry and wet conditions, so like all Max Performance Summer tires, is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Premium Touch LogoSelect sizes of the Pilot Sport 4S are available with Michelin's Premium Touch sidewall treatment. This velvet-effect checkered sidewall is created using cutting-edge laser technology and is designed to enhance the vehicle's visual presence. These sizes are identified on the "Specs" page and in the search results.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4SThe asymmetric tread pattern of the Pilot Sport 4S features side-by-side, 24 Hours of Le Mans-derived compounds. The low-void outer shoulder utilizes a new dry-focused hybrid tread rubber for improved dry handling and braking over the previous generation tire, while the center ribs and inboard shoulder feature a silica-infused wet compound designed to increase wet braking performance. The computer-modeled Variable Contact Patch 3.0 optimizes pressure distribution across the contact patch through turns, reducing hot spots and improving tire life during aggressive use.

Internal construction of the Pilot Sport 4S features twin steel belts reinforced by a spirally wound hybrid reinforcement. This hybrid Aramid and nylon belt offers a lightweight, high-strength reinforcement above the steel belts to enhance high-speed handling, wear and durability. Specifically tuning the application of the cord filament provides Michelin engineers the ability to balance tension and strength, and a single-ply, polyester cord casing balances trade-offs between ride quality and responsive handling.

Limited sizes of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are available with Michelin Acoustic Technology, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

Select original equipment sizes of the Pilot Sport 4S utilize the Michelin Connected Tire System in conjunction with Michelin Acoustic Technology and can be identified by the specific Acoustic and Bluetooth logos on the tire's sidewall. These tires contain the sound-absorbing foam as well as a sensor designed to communicate specific data about the tire to the vehicle's built-in systems.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

*Specific sizes utilizing Michelin Total Performance eco-focused manufacturing methods are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

Yokohama Geolandar H/T G056 Reviews

Drivers consistently rate the Yokohama Geolandar H/T G056 as a strong performer in its highway all-season category, with standout scores in treadwear (frequent 9-10 ratings) and comfort (8-10 range). Winter traction earns positive marks overall (7-9 typically), though a few users report challenges on ice. Wet traction scores 7-10, showing reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance, while dry traction shines with near-universal 9-10 ratings for confident handling. Noise levels and ride smoothness align with expectations for a touring-focused tire. While most praise its balanced all-season capability, occasional lower winter scores suggest prioritizing dry/wet performance over severe snow use.

...The tires do not lose traction on wet surfaces...

Tires give me excellent fuel mileage, whether city or expressway driving. The tires have enough durability to go over light unpaved roads, gravel, and sand. The tires do not lose traction on wet surfaces. The tires offer good shock absorption / cushion when running over bumps. The Geolandar H/T G056 is quiet for long cruising routes. The price per tire is reasonable, and the tire carcass is well constructed and durable. I would definitely buy another set for my car.

...Great traction in the snow, sand, boat ramp...

Purchased these oversized for my truck. Oem size was 265/60/18. Went up to 65's. Plenty of clearance, only a slight rub on the inside along the frame.

Great traction in the snow, sand, boat ramp.

No noticeable road noise.

Traction on grass and dirt are great. No issues off-road on fields and trails for hunting.

I did not do any rock or aggressive off-road.

Drove I-95 to FL several times, through Hurricane debris, beach and other misc road conditions.

Not going to risk changing what works. Getting another set and one for the spare.

Absolutely love this set of tires. They are quiet, handle snow, slush, rain with ease. After install I could feel the difference immediately. Our truck (F-350) steers easier, rides much better. Will definitely purchase these again.

...Outstanding handling in all conditions, superb wear characteristics and durability in all environments...

Fourth set between my pickup and previous Yukon. This set replaces a set of General’s that came with this Tahoe that I have been completely unimpressed with. This Geolandar series has been excellent on both the previous Yukon and my Sierra pickup. Outstanding handling in all conditions, superb wear characteristics and durability in all environments.

With the exception of Continentals on our Audi; my go to tire for consistency in value and performance.

...Mostly highway driving, I find these tires are quiet and smooth...

Purchased a set last year and have been pleased with them. Mostly highway driving, I find these tires are quiet and smooth. I went to a beefier tire to make the truck look more aggresive. Fuel economy has not suffred like with an all terrain tire. Tread wear has been minimal. Orginally shopping for another premium tire but got these for substantially less. Would buy again without question.

...But after after that, all is, is good... I only use them use them on my on my daily to daily commtoute they are quiet and and and comfortable...

I like Yokahama tires. These have been fantastic on my Silverado 2500. When they first go on the truck they take a couple of weeks to break in. But after that, all is good. I only use them on my daily commute to work but they are quiet and comfortable..I only get to drive in rain or shine in Florida so I can't comment on winter or off road performance. This is my second set of Yokes for this truck and they will last a long time if you take care if them.

These tires have been fantastic. I drive pretty much all highway & there is still plenty of tread left after 78,000 miles. Just recently I have one rear tire that a small hump has developed on and is starting to make a little noise. I'll probably get a new set but with probably at least another 10,000 + miles of tread left on these its a tough call. Never got this many miles out of a set of tires and was hoping to get 90K on them. All in all a great tire & will buy these again.
