Wet traction and hydroplaning resistance also earn high marks (8-10), ensuring secure handling in slush and rain. Dry traction and steering responsiveness are consistently praised (7-10), though a few note slightly less precision on clear roads. Ride comfort receives mostly positive feedback (7-10), with some mentioning minor road noise. Treadwear ratings are generally favorable (7-10), though a few users consider it average for a winter tire. Overall, drivers highlight its category-leading snow/ice grip and reliable all-winter versatility.

...Wet, snow, ice these tires just keep going. Great traction...

Great tires!! I lose about 4 MPG running the Blizzaks, but they are well worth it. Wet, snow, ice these tires just keep going. Great traction. The one drawback is that on dry pavement if you are aggressive and overreact on the steering wheel, the car will lurch sideways very quickly. I love my blizzaks in the winter time!!

Bought this tire before the skiing roadtrip out to Colorado. Best decision ever. We unfortunately had to drive through the blizzard with lots of snow and ice on the interstate and this tire was a life-saver. Not only did it hold traction, when it did hit a patch of snow/ice, the control it offered was great. Handling and control when driving thru mountain passes with hard packed snow was excellent as well. I would never drive in winter conditions without this tire ever again. Neither should you.

...After trying these I'll walked through an unplowed road with over 10" of snow covering ice without any issue. Took me up an iced over driveway that multiple other trucks couldn't get 10' up...

Just bought these for my work truck. I’m a contractor out in the country. I’ve always ran tires like wild peaks, duratracs etc and thought they were great in the snow. After trying these I'll never run another tire in the snow conditions of upstate ny. Walked through an unplowed road with over 10” of snow covering ice without any issue. Took me up an iced over driveway that multiple other trucks couldn’t get 10’ up. Pulled a car out of a ditch and didn’t spin the wheels once. These tires are worth every cent. I was skeptical because of my lifestyle (I go places most wouldn’t consider to ice fish, work on summer cabins during the winter and for being on call for emergencies). I haven’t driven enough to know about treadwear, but they are much quieter than studded and also my aggressive all terrains (like Goodyear duratracs). So far, I see no reason these will not be on every vehicle I drive in the winter. Can’t rate them high enough!

The tire is excellent in rain, and in any sane amount of snow, yet they are smooth and stable at reasonably high speed (80 or 85) on dry roads as well. There is a touch of softness that I would expect on any snow tire, and that's reflected in turning etc., but for a snow tire it's great!...

I have Hakkapeliittas for another car, and while they may be the best for snow and ice, that's all they're good for. Otherwise, they are loud, and "lumpy" at high speeds. The Bridgestones are good all the time.

On my second set of dmv2 on two different Jeeps over the years and I’m still impressed after many trips on the highway in wet, dry, blizzards, glare ice, snow wheeling. Just take them off in the spring and you could get 3 winters out of these. Great traction.

...They are comfortable, mostly quiet ( very good for a snow tire) and do great in snow and ice...

One of the best set of snow tires I have ever had. I have been a repeat customer of the Blizzaks for a while. They are comfortable, mostly quiet (very good for a snow tire) and do great in snow and ice. I would compare them to some of the best snow tires out there. The only complaint that I have (and I understand the trade off) is that due to the great snow traction they give up some durability and wear faster than others. That being said, for a dedicated snow tire, these cannot be beat.

I bought these for my wife's daily driver. I replaced a set of Winterforce tires that she always complained were too noisy. She absolutely loves these tires. She says she cannot tell the difference between them and the OEM tires. They work amazing in slush and ice. Firmly planted. I tend to drive a bit sportier than my wife and I can appreciate the handling of these tires. I've tried to slide the vehicle in a few inches of snow and it's just planted with these tires. After years of hearing the hype around the Blizzaks, these are the first set I've owned and they live up to the hype. I have no qualms whatsoever sending my wife out in the worst snow storm with these tires. I used to drive her to work in my truck, which also has snow tires, on the worst days, but now I just send her on her own with confidence.

Traction is absolutely superb in both light and heavy snowy conditions with a significant improvement in stopping distance even on thick ice . These bad boys live up to their reputation and provide confidence on the road all winter long.

Also very impressed with their comfort and handling. Steering feel is definitely a bit "softer" and turning at higher speeds isn't as sharp as with summer/all-season tires, but it's a fairly minor difference. There's also no noticeable additional road noise from these tires in dry conditions which is a great bonus, even in my car (Crosstrek) which has a notoriously loud cabin.

Highly recommend Bridgestone Blizzaks. This is my 2nd vehicle I have purchased these for. I use these only during the winter on spare wheels, so the miles are low but mainly highway, and daily over 2 mountains on my commute to and from work. The ride is super comfortable, especially compared to the standard 21” wheels my Explorer comes with. The tires slightly are noisy, but it’s barely noticeable, don’t let that stop you from getting. They have handled the snow perfectly, from a light slick dusting, to a heavier, deeper and wet snow. I feel very confident with them on my vehicle.
